This is a fact. While our domestic cricket was facing cricketing apartheid and financial ruin for the last 10 plus years, the rest of the world has moved on to greater things just like how the rest of the world moved on in hockey

The world has moved so far ahead with the way batsmen bat at the top of the order, how bowlers bowl at the death, if the pitch offers nothing then bowlers understand their limitation and bowl economically with discipline, the world has thinking captain's who can think on their feet with their bowling changes, field placements

The current crop of players coming through are still playing cricket as if its the 80's and 90's and early 2000's. Cricket is a science now. Fitness, strategy and game plan triumphs just offering prayers and turning up to the field and praying for a good showing.

Our U-19, A team and Emerging team results should be alarming enough.

I think if Pakistan Cricket really needs to get on the path of recovery after the WC, it has to by hook or crook look to get the Domestic Cricket structure fixed and somehow get that merger of Departments and Regions so that you can have just one Domestic Cricket structure with Regional teams with a departmental name combined and just stick to it for the next 50-100 years.

Everything else will follow after that
