This thread is here to tell you how the entire PPFMC works.

It is like a normal football season where we have a domestic league, 1 domestic knock out competition, 1 domestic league/knock out competition and a domestic super cup.

In PPFMC there are 16 clubs with each club consisting of a manager. (Those managers are the different members of this forum)
These managers are responsible for their clubs and will play the main role of the club's success or failure.

Format

El Batigol Clásico (EBC) - League

The league of PPFMC which consists of 16 clubs, all in one division. Each team will play each other team twice in a season. At the end of the season the team on top of the table will be the EBC Champion.

Zizou Cup (ZC) - KO Cup

Zizou Cup is a knockout tournament. All 16 teams will enter in this cup. The winners of the first round will qualify to the Quarter Finals. Then there will be Semi Finals and The Final. The winner will be the ZC Champion.

Copa do Fenômeno (CDF) - League/KO Cup

This competition is similar to Champions League, but involved the 16 teams in this entire competition. The teams will be split into 4 groups of 6 teams. Each team plays each other once. Top two teams will qualify for the Knockout phase that are the Quarter Finals and then the SFs and Final.

Der Kaiser Schild (DKS) - Super Cup

This is the Super Cup like Community Shield. There will no match for the first season but from the second season onwards, the winners of the previous seasons El Batigol Clásico and Zizou Cup will face each other at the start of the season to determine who is crowned winner of Der Kaiser Schild.

All the Finals will be played at a neutral venue, most probably Al-Ibad Football Stadium. The rest will be decided by the simulator itself.

Matches

Match threads will be made a few days before the match. Teams must be announced by the deadline specified. A formation, starting 11, and 7 substitutes and positions where the players will play must be named (12 substitutes in friendlies). Should a team not be announced on time, your in-game assistant manager will pick the team for you. A maximum of 3 substitutes can be used during the match (FM/Assistant Manager will decide on these substitutions. Unlimited substitutions during friendlies). Should a participant not name a team three times within the season, they will be sacked as manager of the club immediately and a replacement will be sought as soon as possible.

Transfers

There will be a transfer window before the start of the season and half way through the season for ~1 week. Each team were given a transfer budget of £70 Million at the start of the first season. Teams are only allowed to buy and sell players within this league. Two teams MUST agree a fee before the transfer is made final. It is then up to the player himself if he wants to move clubs (after very first transfer window). He can decide to stay at his current club or opt to move to the proposed club. The transfer budget can increase (or decrease) depending on whether the club makes a profit (or loss) during the season and the board feels they can afford to give you more (or less) money to spend during the next transfer window. A team can ask for more transfer budget from their board at any time during the season (in the board requests thread), but it is up to the board to accept or reject this. A team is not allowed to spend more than their transfer budget. A team is allowed to make a total transfers in and out of the team of 8 in the entire transfer window. The maximum squad size is 22, the minimum squad size is 18. The mid-season transfer window occurs after Round 7 or 8 of the league (depends on other factors).

Squad Size

The maximum squad size is 22 and the minimum squad size is 18. Each team started with 18 at the beginning of the first season.

Stadiums/Match Attendance

All stadiums have a maximum capacity of 80,000. You can request to your club's board to extend your stadium capacity, but it is up to the board to accept or reject this request. Depending on your form and how you're doing in the league, attendance can vary. The average match ticket price is £40. Season tickets cost at an average of £225 each and every club can expect to sell around 40,000 season tickets per season. You do the maths. Der Kaiser Schild, Zizou Cup final and Copa do Fenônemo final will be played at Al-Ibad Football Stadium which has a capacity of 200,000.

Discipline

One match suspension for every Red Card
One match suspension after two yellow cards
One match suspension for every additional yellow card

Termination

A manager can be sacked from their club. The club's board may decide to sack their manager for whatever reason, whether it be due to poor performances or a business decision. Likewise, a manager will be sacked from their club if they fail to name a satisfactory team sheet in a maximum of 3 competitive matches during the season (3 strike policy).

Sounds Amazing :) can't wait to get started... ibad will the teams go up today?

Thanks for this Ibad. I was going to put a similar thread up, but he's beaten me to it :) I'll update this thread when I get home with some more information.

For those of you who don't know, the 4 competitions you see above are named after former football players.

El Batigol Clásico - Gabriel Batistuta (Batigol was his nickname)
Copa do Fenômeno - Ronaldo (Brazilian. He was known as the Phenomenon, Fenômeno is the Brazilian translation).
Zizou Cup - Zinedine Zidane (Zizou was his nickname)
Der Kaiser Schild - Franz Beckenbauer (Der Kaiser was his nickname)

Discipline

If a player picks up 5 yellow cards, he is immediately banned for one match. If he picks up 10 yellow cards in a season, he'll be banned for two matches, 15 yellows mean he's banned for 3 matches etc... If a player picks up a red card during a game, he will be banned for one match after his first red card. After a player receives two or more red cards during the season, he will be banned for two matches per red card.

each team will play 23 matches in the league and at least 5 matches in CDF. ZC is a knock out tournament so if your team wins then you play more otherwise the team gets Knocked out.

And the season might take more then 2-3 months. It all depends on the matches.

If someone is not available for an extended period of time (1 month) can they let their assistant manager pick the team?

it will depend, for how long the manager is leaving. If the frame is not that long then the assistant will handle (or the manager can PM me his team for that certain amount of time) and the manager has to inform me about his vacation. But if the time is very long or if he left without informing then he will be sacked.

It might not clash with the competitions BUT Inshallah will be going to Hajj this year (pretty much all of October) so won't be online during that time period, if the league is still happening then it would be good if the assistant can handle things until I am back

this is not a big problem. We will solve this.
