Panama Case decision coming 20th April, 2 PM

Will make my birthday extra special. Perfect birthday gift :afridi

BUT

Seriously doubt this is true.

Uh..it's true, breaking news on all channels and on supreme court website.

I don't disagree that the result would come, but I doubt an acceptable result would be handed out. Perhaps I should have phrased my first post better.

According to sources verdict has already been leaked and it's a commission meaning another 3 months of leaving the country hanging.

Hype deflated.

So why the hell judges were hyping it up by saying this decision will be remembered by generations to come etc.

Well if Nawaz dynasty continues to rule the generations will remember it for a long time. The judge never mentioned that the generations will remember it fondly.

ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court will announce the much-awaited verdict in the Panamagate case on Thursday, according to a notification issued by the registrar.

The five-judge bench of the top court reserved its verdict in the case on February 23. The case will be heard in Court Room 1 at 2pm and those possessing security clearance passes will be allowed to attend the hearing.

On April 11, a member of the bench hearing the case, Justice Ejaz Afzal Khan observed that the Panamagate verdict – which is being awaited with bated breath – will not just concern the Sharif family, but it will, in fact, set in motion a law which will be practiced for centuries.

On April 8, DG Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Maj Gen Asif Ghafoor said the army, like every Pakistani, was awaiting a verdict in the Panamagate case based on justice and merit.

Legal experts expect the larger bench will interpret Articles 62, 63 and 66 of the Constitution to set parameters for qualification and disqualification of parliamentarians in the future. Article 66 specifically talks about the privileges given to MPs.

On February 23, hearing a slew of petitions against the Sharif family, Justice Asif Saeed Khosa had observed that 26,000 pages were submitted in the Panamagate case and the judges will read “each word” of them. He observed that it was not a case wherein a short order could be passed.

“The court will decide the case only after considering the material submitted in the court and will announce its verdict in accordance with the law and the Constitution,” Justice Khosa remarked.

SC reserves judgment in Panamagate case

In November last year, the premier denied holding offshore companies in a written response to the Supreme Court on Panamagate petitions. In his reply, the PM said he had declared all his assets in 2013, hence was not liable for disqualification under Articles 62 and 63 of the Constitution.

The Panama Papers on April 3 revealed that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s three children were among dozens of powerful people who own offshore companies in international tax havens. The revelations had whipped up a storm with political parties calling for the Sharif family’s accountability.

Well in that case , we should forget about eradicating corruption from this country. What a Shame

If we fail to get PM behind bars this time as well then I think we're pretty much done. There'll be no hope. Panamagate was like "Mun-o-Salva" according to Hasan Nisar. If we don't take advantage of this independent investigation then we'd rather give up hope of ever fixing our country's problems.
If supreme court gives verdict in favor of PM then lanat ho humari jamhooriyat/adliya par.

All this considering the fact that I'm a hopeless optimist.

Body language and statements of PMLN leaders like saad rafique is giving me hope today and now these banners in lahore

Keep in mind that the verdict has already been released to the petitioners and accused. They know that Nawaz is not getting a clean chit.

Here lies the trick. If we take rigging commission's report into this context then i am sure that result will be such that every party will be able to find something positive to suit themselves.

This is where the 2 of the judges live. Trying to pressurize them. Nooras showing their true colors.

NS must have given the judges enough money for them to agree to form a commission. What a waste of time keeping us all in suspense for month's only to deliver this stupid verdict. Two or three months more will take us past half of this year then the end of this or beginning of next year will be the elections. In other words Nawaz has gotten away with all his lies and corruption. I am still hoping that you guys on about "leaked report" are wrong.

Regardless of the decision today, history will remember the struggle for justice of one man for his nation and his people. History suggests the Sharif family will escape scot free but something tells me this time they just might have been caught ! we shall know in a couple of hours !

NS can't win. Like there is no way he can be exonerated. Only way he can get relief is if he buys out the highest court of Pakistan.

What deluded and shallow comments. Guess this is what people become if they keep watching Dr Shahid Masood.

These poses and the pictures by them were in a reaction to:

-2 judges in favor of dismissing Nawaz calling him corrupt
-the other three judges ordering more investigations and also not disagreeing with the above sentiment

When you take that into consideration and then look at the pictures one will realise that these are the most thickest, dumbest, brain-dead politicians to come out of our country.

True and lifaafas were speaking of this great victory. Check this
