Current NAB Chairman stopped from working by SC and now SC will provide guideline to NAB just like JIT.
 
I congratulate each and every PK for this judgement that will be remembered for centuries. I apologise to the judges for doubting their honesty, and i am still in awe of the honesty and bravery of JIT team and finally but not leastly, i cangratulate IK for his fight. I hope this is the start and not end of accountability.

Even when they were in the office they were busy defending Sharif family and that was happening from almost a year in Panama case. Don't remember the last time they had a presser about any other issue thn PTI and Imran Khan

Long term implications can be many. Politicians might become more vigilant and try different methods of corruption. people might begin to think that any leader can be overthrown in future.

The questions that i have about near future are:

1) will people still elect nawaz sharif if he stood for elections tomorrow? (Not concerned with whether he actually can or not) Does he still have that massive support even after such humiliation? If yes, then nothing will change.

2) Will Pakistan be able to go through this period of power vacuum and the subsequent transition smoothly?

After criminal trial, yes he can. But he cannot pardon the act of disqualification.

I don't think Sharif will leave the country as long as he knows that he has the pardon card against any possible conviction in the future.

Citing FZE chaos as reason for disqualification looks a Not-Very-Strong reason but it serves the purpose well for now. More strong reasons will en surface through proceedings of NAB References, strong enough to verify this verdict and strong enough to lead towards Adiala. PMLN press conference tried to ridicule verdict when they were focusing on FZE and declaring it a casual hiccup. What they didn't talk about was NAB References. They know it but weren't talking about it.

No immunity after NAB proceedings.

Great to see a composed and mature press conference by Imran Khan, there is absolutely no need to go overboard as fight is still on and this should be just a start as far as accountability is cocerned.

Imran Khan also just said in interview with Arshad Sharif that "This is only the beginning and we won't sit back after this" which is GREAT because target wasn't just Sharif (as much as PMLN?Geo nexus would want people to believe).
 
So after blaming conspiracy by establishment (Army/ISI) against democracy/CPEC etc, now PMLN leaders are saying no Pakistan institution involved, conspiracy was at international level with Imran's help indicating same old "Jewish lobby":facepalm::facepalm:

But i understand that they have given NAB the task of financial malpractices allegedly corruption, money laundering etc.
Don't you think submitting forged documents to court is another separate case? Is NAB going to investigate authenticity of documents when JIT has already termed them forged? I don't think it is even mandate of NAB.
 
This case proves good, honest people exist in some of the top brass in Pakistan. A good reason to keep hope that things will change for the impoverished people there. Imran Khan, what a man!
 
Performance of JIT and Supreme court judges also proves there is no shortage of skilled and knowledgeable people who genuinely can perform if supported to act independently without pressure.
 
I was reading some liberal twitter accounts and they are bashing army that this is establishment's victory because a popularly elected PM is forcibly removed. Some even asking IK to be disqualified to even it out.



With Pakistanis like these who needs enemies????

It's part of the same case relating to their assets. Supreme Court could have made a separate case, but chose not to.

NAB will not investigate anything, their part is only to prosecute Nawaz in court.
