LAHORE: Even the scorching heat couldn’t dampen the festivities of PML-N workers who took to the streets in droves to celebrate their “victory” in the Panama leaks case.

A large number of party activists thronged offices and houses of PML-N leaders and parliamentarians since early in the morning. They were all hopeful that the SC would decide the case in their favour.

The city had been a festival of colours since Wednesday as PML-N and the opposition Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf displayed banners and posters on various roads. Ruling party loyalists were so charged up that they even vowed to shed their own blood for their leadership, if needed.
Uncertainty dominated the air and even the PTI has planned celebrations ahead of the verdict. They offered special prayers for the outcome to be of their liking.

PML-N workers started their celebrations as news spread of the SC’s decision to form a joint investigation team. The PM was no longer at any immediate risk of being deposed and jubilant party workers broke out into the bhangra on the streets amid the sounds of firecrackers.

A large number of the PML-N workers gathered at PTI stronghold Lalak Jaan Chowk, Faisal Chowk in front of the provincial assembly, Chief Minister Secretariat, Regal Chowk, Liberty Chowk, Town Hall and other areas. Ruling party activists also took out rallies on Mall Road, Shadman Market, Mohni Road, Iqbal Town and other areas. Some offered nawafil for the decision.

The five judges declared his defence inadmissible and ordered him to appear before a commission with his family to explain where his money came from.

So the celebration is for...?

There was actually a pretty pathetic amount of people who actually came out.

Maybe they are thinking that JIT is not competent enough to prosecute their leader who might just escape now.

Same judges also said PTI provided evidence also insufficient and they cannot disqualify PM

The court but all substantiated PTI's stance, do you want me to read you the judgement back to you like I did 2 days ago, again?

''It was alleged by the petitioner that the flats were purchased by resp 1's money (Nawaz), yet the petitioner did not prove it was Nawaz's money, however admitedly however the properties have been under the children's ownership and they had no other source of incomes owing to their young ages (young ages of 16, 19, 21).''

PMLN always denied the flats were purchased in 1993, they denied it because they'd had to explain then how did Nawaz's teenage kids purchase flats worth millions? The court has now confirmed the purchase WAS in 1993, not 2006. How do you think defense will go now? Time to change the Qatar story thus admitting he's committed perjury?

Two judges did indeed say PM should be disqualified while all five said the PM has lied and has been dishonest. While he wasn't sent on his way, instead of being exonerated he is going to be investigated himself personally. How is that a cause for celebration? :)) And now Nawaz is directly named in the commission like a common criminal. Hence his party members have confirmed that he cancelled his speech yesterday after being told the hole he's dug himself into and today has barred his party members from making any kind of speeches regarding the case. Tomato being a tomato again and again making comments trying to wind people up.

PTI said he is dishonest, his properties were not purchased in 2006 but 1993 and that his Qatar story was a fabrication. The judges have said he is dishonest, his properties were purchased in 1993 and that his entire Qatar story ''they have no reason to believe its true''. And have said in their judgement that unless Nawaz gives evidence of every single receipt of where his money went ''we will have order for his disqualification''. Considering Mian saheb failed that when had 120 days, I doubt he will do it in 60 days.

Read the judgement instead of wasting peoples' time.
