[PICTURES/VIDEOS] PTI Protests and Rallies

Not possible even the Chinese couldn't stop such videos of massacres in xianjiang , concentration camps , forced marriages , forced abortions.
Intl media including al jazeera was present there on d chowk .
There's also satellite images from international agencies which can take images.

So stop telling fake tales

You couldn't cover such a massacre

If we believed you insafians pmln are nazis ans munira is reincarnation of pol Pott.

Arshad Sharif. God bless his soal. He was spot on regarding the Mafia and the poodles of the establishment.

The video/image of the man being thrown off the trailer while praying is the start of the end for these evil crooks.

Sadly many more lives will be lost before this.

If you have any police , army in your family ,remind them of hellfire and not murder innocent people!
The police is the defence for the every crook, once they join in the Establishment will fail.
Unfortunately they are the pawn in every situation, yes they are corrupt but they are corrupt because they get screwed from top and from people at bottom.

I just saw the vid of the guy being thrown off the container. I am in shock that any human beings could do this evil act. Arrest him, but don't kill him. What ever happened to our army?

Last night showed that PK army has totally lost any moral authority. How can an army kill its own unarmed citizens. It's what occupiers do? It's what Inds do in Kashmir or the Israelis do in Palestine. Our army killed innocent people to stay in power illegally. This was a war crime
?? We can discuss in detail the history of Pak Est in another thread but it’s oppression of its people is well documented since 1947.. just because IK made you guys realise this now doesn’t mean it just started happening.

Maybe. But we didn't want to see. Unfortunately, this evil that is holding us at gun point is sending me into total depression

Bushra Bibi transferred to undisclosed location in KP, claims sister

Maryam Riaz Wattoo, sister of Bushra Bibi, has confirmed that the former first lady has been transferred to an undisclose location in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), ARY News reported.

In an interview on ARY’s program ‘Khabar’, Maryam Riaz Wattoo, stated that Bushra Bibi’s phone was currently off, and even the numbers of those with her were also unreachable. She mentioned that she was able to get in touch with Bushra Bibi today through her sources.

She clarified that no one had informed her of Bushra Bibi’s whereabouts, and after speaking with her, Bushra Bibi was moved to another location.

Maryam also confirmed that Bushra Bibi had not been in contact with her family and did not know where she was. It was later revealed that Bushra Bibi had been transferred to an unknown location in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Maryam Riaz Wattoo stated that Bushra Bibi was not willing to leave D-Chowk but was forced to do so, and the firing in the area contributed to her being moved. Maryam mentioned that she had been trying to reach Bushra Bibi for a long time and had been asking everyone to put her in touch with her sister.

Maryam added that when she finally spoke with Bushra Bibi, her sister expressed a desire to stay at the protest.

Great, the way Taliban has improved economy I wouldn’t mind them taking over 😉. JK - before Hindutva be like see see 🤡

You do realize that your encounter is with Pakistanis on this forum?

Absolutely. 75 year track record of murdering it's own people (including harshly enough to break up the country), deposing and assassinating popular leaders (Imran, Bhuttos), engaging in unauthorised wars (Kargil), fomenting terrorism and generally suppressing popular will. They've ruled the country directly, indirectly or at the most jointly since it's inception.

Tens of thousands of Pakistani lives have been lost fighting their own army over decades and the country is virtually emptied out of it's best and brightest. It feels almost painful to look at from the outside.

Sometimes I almost wish it's people would just give up and learn to live with direct martial law like they've done for 40+ years of their history. But credit to Pakistanis for continuing to try even if futilely.

PTI protest has not been fruitful so far. They are trying but PTI leadership cannot match the level of Imran.

Add to that, a fascist force that is there only to protect its own personal interests and doesn’t give two hoots about the people of the country. Pakistan army’s legacy is generals like Zia who put the nation on the path of extremism, drugs and Yahya khan who let the country split in half. No army personnel in the history of Pakistan has been held accountable for his crimes.

Its simply lovely how discussion about Pakistan stock market is kinda absent despite it being on an epic bull run that is outright the best in the world. Ever since ousting of Imran Khan .PSX has increased from 40K to nearly 100K in 2.5 years. While Indian Stock market have just moved from 16k to 24k. Nasdaq has moved from 15k to 20k. Shanghai has barely from 2.7K to 3.3K.
Under 4 years of PTI rule the stock market barely moved for Pakistan. while rest of the world grew.

So the stock market is a measure of a country's financial health? Where did you go to school?

It is one of the many indicators Not always accurate but shows the strength and potential of the economy.

All of you would been hailing the almighty IK and his vision if Stock market was going up in his tenure. From the looks of it, you guys want Pakistan to grow only if it is under the leadership of Imran Khan. Else you guys just want your own nation to burn because your favorite leader is not at the helm.

Stock market is only a narrow slice of the economy and is driven by speculation and investor sentiment rather then real economic performance. Also stock market benefits wealthy individuals rather than broader population. Pakistan has a military dictator at the helm of managing business affairs which is laughable. Short term bandaid solutions have been implemented before to artificially boost the economy which have been disastrous in the long run but the idiot rulers never learn because no one wants to sincerely fix the core issues to put the country on the right course.
Also assuming anyone who counters your argument is an Imran Khan supporter is like calling someone hindutva because they are Indian. Stop doing that. Makes you look extremely unintelligent .

You literally had no counter to my argument
Come back with better arguments, your post just validates the contents of my previous posts.
and you are the one who dove in like a martyr when I had a certain remark about PTI supporters and their love/hate relation with Pakistani stock markets.

I think this is relevant but gotta admire the way Modi govt and Amit Shah handled the farmers protests and the CAA protests with almost 0 casualties and escalation. Handled it like champs. One small slip would have let to chaos. Looking at Bangladesh and Pakistan, gotta give everyone in Indian administration and police their due. Small things like this makes me so appreciative of the Indian govt.
With these kind of protests stopping their right to protest usually inflames the tensions more.

In Indians case didn't the farmers win despite the best efforts of the government?

In a democracy government can afford to lose to protesters. They can continue to govern and freely fight elections again.

In dictatorship rulers can't afford to lose.

Could someone please fill me in on why Gundapur is getting a lot of flack and called double agent etc?

I am out of the loop.

You made a claim that Pakistan economy is on a bull run and how it relates to IK not being in power. This implies the current government has something to do with it which is absolutely not the case. Pakistan economy has nose dived in the past couple of years and you picking and choosing metric like a Pakistani govt spokesperson speaks volume about your level of education. I don't want to continue arguing with you because of your extreme bias and because you have no skin in this game as an Indian.

I don't really care what you label me as but you can go ahead and look at my post history which should clarify my political stance. I don't support Imran Khan and his party as they have proven to be incompetent and weak but I absolutely abhor any dictatorship that strives to curtail the freedom of the people and it's lapdogs which are the representatives of the current government. I find it funny that Indians who have been screaming "terrorist pakistani army" for years have now all of a sudden become it's fan. Please wish the same type of dictatorship for your country if you think it's good for Pakistan.

Your subsequent post talks about growth which one can assume economical growth. Your exact word were

"you guys want Pakistan to grow only if it is under the leadership of Imran Khan."

I merely stated certain facts . read the posts again.

Mehmood Khan Achhakzai did a presser against the killings of PTI workers......made some genuine points

PTI came with intent to spread anarchy, not to protest peacefully, Tarar says

Federal Information Minister Attaullah Tarar has emphasized that despite the Islamabad High Court's order prohibiting protests, the government had extended an opportunity to PTI to hold a peaceful demonstration in Sangjani. However, PTI rejected this offer, and as a result, action was taken against them.

Tarar and Federal Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal, in a press conference in Islamabad, accused PTI of having ulterior motives, claiming that the party's true intention was never to protest peacefully but to incite violence.

Tarar also highlighted the disruption caused by PTI's actions, noting that Islamabad had been under siege for several days, with a group of agitators attempting to destabilise the capital.

He pointed out that foreign guests had been in the Red Zone, and that troublemakers, armed with modern weapons, tear gas shells, stones, and catapults, had violated the High Court's ruling.

Attaullah Tarar stated, “We offered them the option to protest peacefully in Sangjani, where demonstrations could be conducted in a non-violent manner, but their intent was never peaceful. Just two days ago, footage was released showing professional agitators using firearms, weapons, tear gas shells, and pellet guns. In the attacks by these troublemakers, Rangers and police personnel were martyred. Who should we hold responsible for the blood of these martyrs?”

Attaullah Tarar further emphasised, “Security forces have ensured peace in the federal capital, but a false narrative was created on social media claiming that Rangers were martyred by their own people. The identified criminal is from Abbottabad, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa. These individuals aimed to disrupt Islamabad’s peace; they had no public demand but sought to free their leader. We have arrested 37 Afghan militants. Afghanistan is our friendly country, and we share good relations with them, but the question remains—what were Afghan citizens doing in Islamabad during a political party's protest? Was this allowed?”

The Minister of Information stated, “From 2013 to 2017, large-scale operations were conducted, bringing peace back to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Karachi, and reducing terrorism incidents. During the tenure of the founding chairman of PTI, the Taliban were reintroduced. Now, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is experiencing a wave of terrorism, and the Chief Minister seems uninterested in maintaining peace. In Kurram Agency, 50 bodies were found, while they were laying siege to Islamabad.”

He added, “The responsibility for terrorism in the country lies with one person—someone who promotes violence. This is the same party that used religion as a tool for its own political agenda. What was the purpose behind their statements against Saudi Arabia? They aim to play with the religious sentiments of the public and use religion for political gains. We condemn the acts of vandalism at media houses.”

Attaullah Tarar further said, “PTI is facing internal turmoil. Their leadership was absent from the protest—Aftab Khan, Shahram Tarakai, Asad Qaiser, Hamad Azhar, and Sheikh Waqas were not present. There’s also an ongoing fake list circulating about the protesters. If any casualties have occurred, evidence should be presented. Statements from Polyclinic and PIMS hospitals confirm no fatalities.”

Eight cases registered against PTI leadership

Eight cases have been registered in Islamabad against the leadership and workers of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) over attacks on police and acts of vandalism during the party's protest in the federal capital.

The FIRs name PTI founder Imran Khan, his wife Bushra Bibi, and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, among others.

According to details available with Express News, the cases were registered in various police stations, including Shehzad Town, Sihala, Bani Gala, Khanna, Shams Colony, Tarnol, Noon, and Nilore.

The charges include terrorism, violations of the Assembly Act, attacks on police, abductions, obstruction of official duties, damage to public property, arson, and defiance of Section 144.

The FIRs also name senior PTI leaders Salman Akram Raja and Sheikh Waqas along with thousands of unidentified individuals of orchestrating and participating in the violence.

Charges of disrupting government functions and violating public order have also been mentioned in the FIRs.

The cases related to PTI's Oct 4 protest in Islamabad also remain, during which several party workers were detained, many of whom have since served jail time and been released.

We are soldiers none other than Imran Khan, Gandapur tells Bushra Bibi

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur and Bushra Bibi exchanged harsh words during a PTI Core Committee meeting in Peshawar, Dunya News reported here on Thursday night.

During the ‘altercation’, Ali Amin Gandapur told Bushra Bibi, “We are the soldiers none other than Imran Khan”, according to PTI sources.

It is reported by the sources that the members of the party core committee criticised the central leadership for its ‘failure’ to lead the rally in Islamabad.

The core committee members also took exception to former President Dr Arif Alvi for not bringing PTI workers in the Islamabad rally.

It was Bushra Bibi who came in the defence of Dr Arif Ali and spoke in favour of Dr Alvi, PTI sources revealed.

The core committee also held a heated debate on remarks given by Shaukat Yousafzai about Bushra Bibi and former KP speaker Mushtaq Ghani sided with Shaukat Yousafzai and supported his statement.

According to the sources, Bushra Bibi had expressed indignation over the statement of Shaukat Yousafzai.

The committee raised the question why it was not decided who would lead the rally in Islamabad.

Bushra Bibi ‘disappointed’ with PTI leadership, claims sister

Maryam Riaz Wattoo, sister of Bushra Bibi, said that the former first lady has been disappointed with party leadership following the PTI protest rout.

During her appearance on ARY News program Off The Record, Maryam Riaz Wattoo confirmed having contact with her sister, a day after she claimed that the former first lady was transferred to an undisclosed location in KP.

Recalling her telephonic conversation with Bushra Bibi, Maryam Riaz Wattoo said that the PTI founder’s wife attended the PTI’s political committee meeting uninvited.

Refuting the reports of her furious interaction with PTI leaders, Watto said that Bushra Bibi was disappointed with the party leadership, raising questions over their absence at D-chowk when she along with PTI workers faced a grand operation late Tuesday.

Have never been utterly depressed and dissapointed at the state of affairs in the country. All this is happening because the Establishment, PDM are demanding that IK, PTI will not come after them for everything that has occurred in the last 2-3 years and IK is refusing to give any amnesty, NRO this time.

Other compromised PTI leaders have promised this amnesty, NRO but even the establishment knows that these leaders have zero aukaat, value among the masses and that their popularity is a result of IK's sponsorship and if IK is removed from the scene as a whole then no matter how much they support, sponsor these leaders, PTI the party collapses to zero and cannot be used as a third option against PML-N and PPP.
Hey @Savak do you live in Pakistan? Your posts always feels very genuine and passionate about what you believe. I am not a big IK fan, but I hope people like you help figure out a reasonable solution to Pakistan's problems. Otherwise it will be permanent chaos for a long time

Info minister denies direct firing on PTI protesters

Federal Information Minister Attaullah Tarar Thursday said that despite the Islamabad High Court’s order prohibiting protests, the government had extended an opportunity to the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to hold a peaceful demonstration in Sangjani. However, he added, the PTI rejected this offer and that was why the action was taken against them. Addressing a press conference along with Federal Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal here, Tarar accused PTI of having ulterior motives, claiming that the party’s true intention was never to protest peacefully but to incite violence. He also highlighted the disruption caused by the PTI protest, noting that Islamabad remained under siege for several days, with a group of agitators attempting to destabilise the capital. “Foreign guests had been in the Red Zone and troublemakers, armed with modern weapons, tear gas shells, stones, and catapults, violated the High Court’s order.”

Tarar stated the government offered the PTI to protest peacefully at Sangjani, where demonstrations could be conducted in a non-violent manner, but their intent was never peaceful. “Just two days ago, footage was released showing professional agitators using firearms, weapons, tear gas shells, and pellet guns. In the attacks by these troublemakers, Rangers and police personnel were martyred. Who should we hold responsible for the blood of these martyrs?”

Attaullah Tarar further said that the security forces ensured peace in the federal capital, but a false narrative was created on social media claiming that “Rangers were martyred by their own people”. The identified criminal is from Abbottabad, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, he added. These individuals aimed to disrupt Islamabad’s peace, he said and added “We have arrested 37 Afghan militants”. “

Tarar said that the PTI is facing internal turmoil. “Their leadership was absent from the protest. Aftab Khan, Shahram Tarakai, Asad Qaiser, Hamad Azhar, and Sheikh Waqas were not present in the protest.” “There’s also an ongoing fake list circulating about the protesters. If any casualties have occurred, evidence should be presented. Statements from Polyclinic and PIMS hospitals confirmed no fatalities.”

Tarar categorically stated that no direct firing was done by the law enforcement agencies during operation to flush out Pakistan PTI protestors. He said there was clear policy of the government that no direct firing will be done on protestors.

Besides, Tarar added, the Ministry of National Health Services also issued a statement denying PTI’s claims that its workers were killed in security forces’ firing. The minister stated that a list circulating on social media regarding the death of protesters was declared fake. Tarar said that four Rangers and two police personnel were martyred by miscreant.

Meanwhile, Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives Ahsan Iqbal said that the jailed founder of PTI, Imran Khan, is not a political prisoner but facing serious charges of corruption and inciting violence.

He said PTI attempted to create mayhem in Islamabad in recent days, bringing armed protesters to not only stage a sit-in but also to occupy the Parliament House, as they had done in 2014. He noted that PTI had established a troubling pattern of violent politics, beginning with the events of 2014. He pointed out that PTI leadership and supporters have grown accustomed to violent behaviour, even while appearing in court for routine proceedings.

The corrupt establishment and politicians are a representation of the country. They have mostly come from the general population so why is anyone surprised with all that happens?

I'm travelling to Pakistan in a couple of weeks and I'm already starting to get annoyed at the thought all these illiterate and corrupt people will be lecturing about it. Where I am from it's a N League fortress and the level of abuse towards IK is off the charts. I'm not for any part but because we're from overseas, they automatically put us in the IK camp.

The country has become a representation of the corrupt establishment and politician its not the other way around. Pakistani people are some of the most hospitable, warm and welcoming people in the world.

When there is no opportunities, meritocracy, equality or justice then people will have to adjust and adapt to thrive in this dog eat dog world and sadly thats the case in Pakistan. When there is no accountability for the powerful then the weak realise that their only way to thrive is try and take some minor power themselves by usurping the rights of others, or to seek shade under the patronage of the powerful.

Many generations of Pakistanis no this as the only way to get ahead or even survive in life.

If the leader cannot create, mentor and guide lieutenants and generals for his movement, he is a failed leader. The movement of the people needs a better leader.
Boom.. :hamster:

Pakistan warns foreign nationals against involvement in political protest

The Pakistani Foreign Office has clarified that foreign nationals are prohibited from participating in political gatherings in Pakistan, emphasizing that such actions are illegal.

Foreign Office spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch made the statement during a media briefing, stressing that the Pakistani government has no ongoing negotiations with the banned Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).

She further noted that talks with the TTP would be contrary to the interests of the thousands of families affected by the group's violence.

Baloch reiterated Pakistan's commitment to maintaining friendly relations with all neighboring countries, pointing out that strengthening ties with one country does not imply deteriorating relations with others.

When questioned about Israeli remarks on Iran’s nuclear capabilities, she declined to comment, stating that Pakistan condemns the genocide in Gaza and supports Lebanon's sovereignty, welcoming the ceasefire agreement there.

The spokesperson also addressed the issue of Afghan nationals who were detained during protests, confirming that the Ministry of Interior had arrested foreign nationals, including Afghan citizens.

She reiterated that foreign involvement in Pakistan's political affairs is strictly illegal and urged all foreigners to refrain from engaging in the country's political matters. The Ministry of Interior is expected to release details of the detained Afghan nationals.

Additionally, Baloch confirmed that there are no travel restrictions on Pakistanis visiting the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and noted that the number of Pakistani prisoners in the UAE remains unclear.

She also shared that agreements covering economy, connectivity, business, and customs were signed during the recent visit of Belarusian President.

Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar is set to visit Iran on December 2-3, where discussions will focus on enhancing cooperation under the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) framework and the signing of the ECO Clean Energy Charter.

Mashal Yousafzai finally explains what drove Bushra Bibi to D-Chowk

Former First Lady Bushra Bibi’s spokesperson, Mashal Yousafzai, has finally revealed the truth behind the decision of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan’s wife to head to D-Chowk, ARY News reported citing private news channel.

In an interview with a private news channel, Mashal Yousafzai clarified that after Bushra Bibi returned from the November 24 protest, she did not meet anyone.

Mashal Yousafzai explained that contact with Bushra Bibi was lost after the stampede, and they only spoke two days later. Mashal Yousafzai was present with her at Sangjani.

She further stated, “We were informed that the PTI founder had instructed them to stop at Sangjani, but Bushra Bibi wanted to hear directly from her husband regarding the protest at D-Chowk.”

Yousafzai added, “PTI leaders had told Bushra Bibi that she had to go to D-Chowk. Knowing this, how could she back out from the plan? She had been entrusted with a responsibility by the party founder, and she could not betray that trust.”

She also mentioned that Bushra Bibi had repeatedly stated during the protest that Imran Khan’s order was to reach D-Chowk. Mashal Yousafzai confirmed that the windscreen of Bushra Bibi’s car had been damaged by chemicals, making it difficult for her to see.

“They suggested changing the car and continuing to the protest site, but instead, they took her to Mansehra. Her sister, Maryam Watoo, was not with her, and as I was on the ground, I can say this with certainty.”

Earlier today, a meeting of PTI’s political committee was convened on the suggestion of Bushra Bibi to evaluate the performance of members of the National and Provincial Assemblies during the sit-in.

Rumor has it that, due to the underwhelming response from Punjab province, the establishment is considering eliminating IK, assuming that after a month of unrest, the situation will stabilize.

If it is true then I believe they are overestimating this, people will likely settle down in just a few days.

Much of the Punjab leadership is compromised. What is interesting is that Generals want to breakup PK. If IK is murdered, the KP won't take this lying down and the numbers joining anti PK parties. With Balochistan already chaotic, will PK consist of only Punjab? These are criminals

PTI says 12 workers killed in Islamabad protest

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Friday said that 12 of its workers lost their lives during the recent protest in Islamabad due to the use of force.

Speaking at a press conference, PTI central Information Secretary Sheikh Waqas Akram said that the deceased include seven PTI workers from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, two from Balochistan, and one each from Punjab, Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Islamabad.

Opposition leader in the National Assembly Omar Ayub was also present at the press conference.

Sheikh Waqas accused the federal government of suppressing evidence by pressuring hospitals to withhold information and denying families access to the bodies of deceased. Condemning the government’s action, he claimed that many workers remained missing and thousands were injured.

He alleged that straight bullets were fired at unarmed PTI protesters, contrary to the government’s statement that no shots were fired. “We have videos and evidence showing the use of live ammunition,” Waqas asserted.

He criticized the government for treating peaceful protesters as criminals, questioning the legality of using force against citizens exercising their constitutional right to protest. Waqas further claimed that families were handed over bodies three days after the deaths, accusing the government of attempting to conceal the scale of violence.

Highlighting the plight of detained PTI workers, he alleged that over 5,500 people were arrested before the protest. Many vehicles brought to Islamabad for the demonstration were destroyed by state actors, he claimed.

The PTI leader also criticised the recent resolution in the Balochistan Assembly calling for a ban on the party, vowing to counter it by proposing resolutions against the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly.

Omar Ayub demanded judicial accountability for the incident, including a probe into the alleged use of excessive force. “We demand FIRs be registered against the prime minister, interior minister and information minister for their role in this tragedy,” he said.

The PTI leader asked the Chief Justice of Pakistan to initiate a judicial inquiry into the events at D-Chowk. The party leaders vowed to continue their struggle and criticised the government for stifling dissent. “This government, built on the wrong foundations, must fall,” said Sheikh Waqas. Umar Ayub praised the efforts of PTI leadership and workers during the protest and expressed hope for accountability and justice for the victims.

Info minister says man pushed off container during PTI protest injured but ‘completely fine’

Information Minister Attaullah Tarar on Saturday said a man who was reportedly pushed off a container during the PTI’s Islamabad protest this week was injured but “completely fine”, refuting claims circulating online about his death.

On November 26, Islamabad witnessed pitched battles between security forces and PTI supporters as the latter inched towards the heavily barricaded D-Chowk for the party’s ‘final call’ powershow, with intense teargas shelling used to disperse the protesters.

A late-night crackdown by the government ended in a hasty retreat of the PTI’s top leadership and supporters, following which the party abruptly suspended its protest movement.

In the wake of the protests, a video was widely circulated online, which showed uniformed men, who appeared to be security personnel equipped with riot control gear, shoving a man off a stack of three shipping containers that had been placed to block off D-Chowk.

A picture captured by an AFP photographer showed the man hanging off a corner of the container as the uniformed men stood on top of the container. Various posts on social media claimed the man had died.

Apparently referring to the incident, in a televised address aired today, Tarar said: “Propaganda was done that a person was offering prayers and was killed by pushing him down.

“He is a resident of Mandi Bahauddin and is completely fine. His video has emerged, he got hurt on the arm and has bandages,” the minister confirmed.

Tarar went on to claim that the person was recording a TikTok video as he had “offered a challenge to his friend”, and was not offering prayers in reality.

Referring to individuals allegedly involved in violence during the protest, Tarar vowed: “All these people would be punished. There will be effective prosecution.”

The minister highlighted the government’s recent decision to establish a dedicated anti-riot force to take action against rioters and further strengthen institutions to prevent “anti-state protests” in the future.

“PTI is now resorting to a false narrative of bodies to cover up the embarrassment of fleeing from the protest site,” Tarar said, adding that the party “failed to produce even a single video where security forces can be seen firing” on protesters.

Reiterating that Pims and Polyclinic hospitals have clearly stated that they had not received any bodies during the protest, Tarar said the PTI was using old and AI-generated images on its social media.

These were being stamped as fake and a cell had been established for e-verification of the footage, he noted.

The minister alleged that protesters used different weapons against security personnel and inflicted damage on public property.

More than 10,000 protesters surged into the city on the weekend, defying a ban on public gatherings and a lockdown to skirmish with 20,000 security forces enlisted to turn them back, AFP had reported.

At least six lives were lost in the three days of protests, which included a policeman and three Rangers officials who were knocked down by a speeding vehicle, officials and hospital sources said.

While the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (Pims) had confirmed that around 60, including security personnel, were injured, Tarar said Pims and Polyclinic Hospital had denied receiving any bodies or people with gunshot wounds.

Claims and counter-claims over deaths purportedly caused by law-enforcement action against the PTI marchers remained a major bone of contention as federal ministers asserted that security personnel did not fire on the protesters while the PTI has claimed that at least 12 people died.

However, Rana Sanaullah, an adviser to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, later said the “official number” of protester deaths did not reach double figures, while acknowledging that “four to five” deaths were reported.

PTI denies any call for protest in Islamabad on December 7

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Secretary of Information, Sheikh Waqas Akram, has rejected recent reports claiming that the party is planning a fresh protest in Islamabad on December 7.

Speaking in an interview on Express News's "Centre Stage" programme, Akram dismissed the claims as "false news."

"We have not made any decision about returning to Islamabad for a protest on December 7," he stated, clarifying that party member Asad Qaiser had not issued any statement regarding such an event. "No such decision has been made at the party level," he added.

Akram also refuted reports about changes in PTI leadership, specifically the alleged removal of senior leader Salman Akram Raja. "These claims are incorrect," he said. "Salman Akram Raja continues to hold his position within the party."

The PTI spokesperson addressed concerns about internal party matters, stating, "We will handle our own issues and do not need to air our grievances publicly." He also reiterated that some PTI members remain missing, with records of these cases still in the party's possession.

Akram stressed that PTI's key challenges included addressing the killings of party workers in Islamabad and securing the release of PTI founder Imran Khan. "The deaths of our workers in Islamabad and the release of our leader remain major challenges for us," he said.

He also dismissed claims about the absence of gunfire during clashes at D-Chowk, clarifying that PTI had already shown footage of the casualties. "The defence minister claimed that no shooting took place, yet we presented footage of the bodies at yesterday's press conference," Akram stated.

The PTI official called for a high-level judicial commission to investigate the deaths of their party workers, stating that international media had reported on the killings. "We are not making accusations without evidence; we are demanding an investigation into the deaths of 12 of our workers," he asserted.

Akram concluded by emphasising the need for the state to exercise patience, urging that "the state should not reach a point where its patience is exhausted."

He criticised the shifting narratives surrounding the violence at D-Chowk, saying the authorities had initially denied any shooting, only to later claim that gunfire had occurred due to attempts to cross the area.

Rumor has it that, due to the underwhelming response from Punjab province, the establishment is considering eliminating IK, assuming that after a month of unrest, the situation will stabilize.

If it is true then I believe they are overestimating this, people will likely settle down in just a few days.
They will be stupid to eliminate IK. That will just make current government more stronger. If army wants to control the politics they need to keep IK alive and in Jail. This will keep the current government in check

Your assertion would hold true if the current government and establishment had any desire to shift the status quo toward democracy. However, both the establishment and the dynastic government are the primary and ultimate beneficiaries of the existing system. The only party, supported by over 80% of the Pakistani population, is actively working to transform the status quo from dictatorship to democracy.

So all the videos I've been forwarded of guns firing, men's heads bleeding and crowds running away from gun fire are fabricated?
There is now a Google drive link produced by PTI with every single video and picture an forward to human rights groups across the globe. Download it. The stuff in it.....I don't have words for it. I have disowned every single relative who supports these killers. Want nothing to do with them.

Pakistan’s army and police have been accused of firing on civilians, resulting in multiple deaths and injuries to hundreds of protesters who had stormed Islamabad on Tuesday to demand the release of the former prime minister Imran Khan from prison.

The doctor, who requested anonymity for his safety, said there had been an attempt to cover up any fatalities. “All records of dead and injured have been confiscated by authorities. We are not allowed to talk. Senior government officials are visiting the hospital to hide the records,” he said.

PTI ‘miscreants’ to be brought to book, says Punjab CM Maryam

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz on Saturday said the PTI miscreants who injured security personnel will be brought to justice and will be severely punished.

She said this during her visit to Combined Military Hospital to inquire after the health of injured Rangers and police personnel during PTI’s protest in Islamabad.

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz went to each injured personnel and inquired after their well-being.

The injured officers told her about the violence during the protest as a result of which many officials suffered fractures as well as eye injuries.

They further informed her that many personnel suffered head injuries in the violence, adding that the PTI workers opened fire on the police from close range.

Maryam Nawaz consoled the injured officials and prayed for their early recovery and return to their homes. She said the Rangers and police officials were the sons of the nation and we were proud of them.

She said those who tortured the security personnel would not be spared, adding that the PTI was a miscreant party which had adopted the path of chaos to stop the country’s development.

The chief minister said attacks on state institutions, property and security personnel were condemnable.

“Pakistan Army and security personnel are sacrificing their lives to restore peace in the country. The miscreants should have been ashamed of attacking the soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the country,” she said, adding that the federal and Punjab governments were indebted to the injured security personnel.

You look on social media and I have now seen hundreds of such videos, of young men in KPK in utter grief saying how they have tried courts, how they have tried the legal routes, how they have tried the ballot box and now their protest led to open murder that now they have no choice but to pick up a weapon. This how secession starts. And the army is to 100% blame for this. The people gave their clear mandate on the 8th of February.

When:

a) you close the route via ballot box by viciously rigging an election
b) then you close the route via courts by installing cameras in judges' rooms and then inventing new courts to stop any judge from being impartial
c) then you close the route via the ballot box by making the business of kidnapping MPs, their children, their wives and sisters all halal to manipulate and blackmail them for votes. My best friend lost his FIL like this in Pakistan, when the filthy intelligence agencies kept raiding their house because the son was a PTI supporter, the old father died of a heart attack seeing his children attacked, INSIDE THE HOUSE
d) and then you finally finish the right to protests via BULLETS

There is only option left for the people. Armed resistance. There is no way this system will now ever correct itself. Mujib realised this after coming to the reality that these men in uniform will never cede power, I remember his quote: ''when you fight with a gentleman you fight like a gentleman, but when you fight with a b*stard you have to be bigger b*stards otherwise you will lose''

Balochistan, a state under the iron grip of the army is proof enough how incompetent these duffers are. As a Punjabi I am sorry from the bottom of my heart to my Balochi brothers.

Security personnel were deployed ‘without live ammunition’ for PTI’s Nov 24 protest, interior ministry says

The interior ministry reiterated on Sunday that despite a prior Islamabad High Court (IHC) ruling deeming PTI’s November 24 power show “unlawful,” the party still breached the Red Zone in Islamabad.

On Nov 13, Imran issued a “final call” for nationwide protests on Nov 24, demanding the restoration of the PTI’s electoral mandate, the release of detained party members, and the reversal of the 26th Amendment, which he said had strengthened a “dictatorial regime”.

In the early hours of Wednesday, a day of pitched battles between security forces and PTI protesters across the federal capital ended in a hasty retreat of the party’s top leadership and supporters from the Red Zone in the early hours of Wednesday.

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi said in a statement that security forces had “bravely repulsed the protesters”, while PTI harshly criticised the interior minister for his statements and blamed him for the alleged violence against its supporters, claiming multiple deaths.

Amnesty International condemned the violence, terming it a “brutal and lethal crackdown” on protesters by authorities. Meanwhile, PTI Vice Chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi, who is in jail along with other key leaders, advocated for national reconciliation and national consensus to achieve political stability.

According to Sunday’s notification from the Interior Ministry, a copy of which is available with Dawn.com, the IHC had directed the government to engage with the PTI leadership ahead of the protest.

It went on to note that PTI had been offered Sangjani as an alternate protest venue but “in spite of the extraordinary concessions extended, PTI violated the court’s orders blatantly and instead of holding [a] protest at designated place (Sangjani), unlawfully breached entry towards the Red Zone of Islamabad,” referring to a Nov 21 IHC declaration that PTI’s Nov 24 protest was “unlawful.”

The notification further alleged that PTI protesters “aggressively engaged” Law Enforcement Authorities (LEAs) with weaponry, adding that the “violent protest was primarily orchestrated and logistically & financially sustained and supported by the resources of the government of [Khyber Pakhtunkhwa]”.

“Alarmingly, PTI’s protest included violent and trained miscreant elements including many illegal Afghan nationals who spearheaded the riots and violent activities throughout the march.

“These miscreants, employed as a violent vanguard, comprised approximately 1,500 hardcore fighters working directly under absconder and proclaimed offender Murad Saeed,” the notification said.

It went on to say that the army was deployed in the capital under Article 245 of the Constitution “only to secure key government installations and foreign diplomats in the sensitive Red Zone while ensuring [a] secure environment for high-profile foreign dignitaries visiting the country.”

“LEAs comprising police and rangers were employed without live ammunition to disperse this violent mob while the army neither came in direct clash with these miscreants nor employed for riot control,” the notification said, adding that the party leadership, instead of controlling the violent mob, fled from the scene.

The information and interior ministers “promptly” visited the site of the protest after it was called off, the notification said, but “unfortunately, social media accounts of PTI resorted to planned and coordinated massive fake propaganda of deaths caused by LEAs so as to divert attention from this senseless, violent and failed activity.”

Major hospitals in Islamabad “rubbished reports” of alleged casualties caused by LEAs, but a “sustained fabricated social media campaign, using old and AI-generated clips is being viciously undertaken by PTI and joined by other inimical elements.”

“There have been multiple false claims of deaths ranging from tens to hundreds to thousands on social media as well as PTI political leadership and their official pages,” the notification said.

The statement further said that the “PTI and its social media propagandists” were bent on creating divisions and confusion within the society.

“Such elements, whether inside the country or abroad, will surely be held accountable under relevant laws and no one will be allowed to sow divisions, hatred and propagating fake news.”

The notification blasted KP Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur for making “baseless inflammatory statements against institutions, using KP Assembly as a platform to distort facts and spread blatant lies, rather than being shameful of inciting innocent youth of KP for such undesirable activities.”

It is concerning to note that 39 lethal weapons, including 18 automatic weapons, have been recovered from the violent protesters and that amongst the apprehended offenders there are more than three dozen paid aliens, the notification said.

With regards to material losses incurred during the violent protests, initial estimates suggest damages to the tune of hundreds of millions, it added.

“Due to these violent protests, indirect losses to the economy are estimated to be Rs192 billion per day,” it said. “In addition to that, significant expenditure incurred on taking necessary security measures [while] plundering of the financial resources by the KP government are separate.”

He wanted this audio to be leaked. The party leadership has shown cowardice all along and it took IKs sister to give IKs orders. These guys think they can deal with establishment but you can't. They are vicious killers and will kill to stay in power. The Generals are terrorists and have no scruples to kill innocent people to stay in power

No weapon was used to disperse miscreants in PTI protest: interior ministry

The Ministry of Interior has issued the statement on the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) protest and action against it.

The statement mentioned that the Islamabad High Court (IHC) on 21 November directed the federal government to take all necessary measures to maintain law and order in the federal capital.

The IHC directed the interior minister to engage with the PTI leadership in this regard. Given the sensitivity of Belarusian President and Chinese high level delegation visit, PTI was initially asked to postpone the protest but on their persistence to continue with the protest, PTI was subsequently offered Sangjhani area as a designated location.

In this regard, out of the ordinary and at odd timings, meetings were also allowed between the PTI leadership and its founder. On the contrary and inspite of the extraordinary concessions extended, PTI violated the court’s orders blatantly and instead of holding protest at designated place (Sangjani), unlawfully breached entry towards the Red Zone of Islamabad.

Throughout the protest march from Peshawar to Red Zone Islamabad, violent protestors of PTI aggressively engaged LEAs repeatedly using firearms and all sorts of other weaponry including steel sling shots, stun grenades, tear gas shells and nail studded batons to force their way to Red Zone Islamabad.

Not only have you murdered people in cold blood to stay in power illegally, you have taken the bodies and probably burnt the Shaheed. What have you done to your own souls, didn't anyone think about what was being ordered and carried out.

PTI protest: Islamabad ATC issues non-bailable arrest warrants for Imran, Bushra, 94 others

An Islamabad Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) on Monday issued non-bailable arrest warrants for PTI founder Imran Khan, his wife Bushra Bibi, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur and 93 others in a case pertaining to last week’s protests in the federal capital by party supporters.

Imran is already incarcerated at Adiala Jail since last year and he faces multiple other cases in which he has yet to be granted bail.

On Nov 13, Imran issued a “final call” for nationwide protests on Nov 24, demanding the restoration of the PTI’s electoral mandate, the release of detained party members, and the reversal of the 26th Amendment which he said had strengthened a “dictatorial regime”.

A day of pitched battles between security forces and PTI protesters across the federal capital ended in a hasty retreat of the party’s top leadership and supporters from the Red Zone in the early hours of Nov 27.

At least six lives were lost in the three days of protests, which included a policeman and three Rangers officials who were knocked down by a speeding vehicle, officials and hospital sources said. Claims and counter-claims over deaths purportedly caused by law-enforcement action against the PTI marchers remain a major bone of contention between the government and the opposition party.

Numerous party workers were arrested in the ensuing crackdown while multiple cases were filed. One such case was filed at the Kohsar Police Station on Nov 26 on the complaint of Station House Officer Muhammad Imran.

The police submitted a list of 96 suspects, containing the names of Imran, Bushra Bibi, CM Gandapur, former president Arif Alvi, former National Assembly speaker Asad Qaiser, PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar, Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Omar Ayub, PTI Central Information Secretary Waqas Akram and several other party leaders, including Shoaib Shaheen, Ali Bukhari, Sher Afzal Marwat, Faisal Javed, Zartaj Gul and Aamir Mughal, requesting that their arrest warrants be issued in connection to the case.

ATC Judge Tahir Abbas Sipra presided over today’s hearing and accepted the police request, issuing non-bailable arrest warrants for the 96 suspects.

The first information report (FIR) was registered under Sections 114 (abettor present when offence is committed), 148 (rioting, armed with deadly weapon), 149 (every member of unlawful assembly guilty of offence committed in prosecution of common object), 151 (Knowingly joining or continuing in assembly of five or more persons after it has commanded to disperse), 152(Assaulting to obstructing public servant when suppressing riot), 153 (wantonly giving provocation with intent to cause riot), 153A (promoting enmity between different groups, etc), 201 (hiding evidence of a crime), 324 (attempted murder), 365 (kidnapping), 395 (robbery), 427 (mischief causing damage amounting to Rs50), 436 (mischief by fire or explosive substance), 440 (mischief committed after preparation made for causing death or hurt) and 506ii (punishment for criminal intimidation) of the Pakistan Penal Code; Sections 7 (punishment for acts of terrorism) and 21i (abutment) of the Anti-Terrorism Act and Section 8 (punishment) of the Peaceful Assembly and Public Order Act, 2024.

The FIR accused the PTI leaders of attacking police personnel under a “conspiracy” and using government employees for their purposes during the protest. It also said that the actions of protesters led to locals being trapped in their homes and spread fear and panic.

Wow, these are pretty serious charges. He is going to be in the jail forever waiting for trial. Getting bail on each of these charges will take forever even for normal men. Charges from Anti-Terrorism court means these are going to haunt him and his party. This can easily be used by the Govt to force PTI to disassociate themselves from IK or face terrorism charges. lets see how it plays out.

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf distanced itself from those party leaders who had made hundreds of death claims when the authorities launched an operation against the protesters on the third day of PTI’s Islamabad march.

“Will not issue irresponsible statements. Only 12 of our supporters martyred [in firing],” PTI Chairman Gohar Ali Khan told reporters outside the Adiala Jail after meeting former prime minister Imran Khan on Monday.

His statements came after several party leaders, including some from the top leadership, claimed that hundreds of people died when the law enforcement agencies allegedly opened fire at them on November 26 night. But the government has denied such allegations and accused the PTI of making false claims.

A compromised leadership that can't even bring itself to tell us the Junta and Munir murdered in cold blood 100s of people and stole their bodies isn't a good source. I am embarrassed by these cowards. Just resign you losers, you have betrayed PK and Kaptaan

PTI founder Imran announces ‘grand gathering’ in Peshawar on Dec 13

PTI founder and ex-prime minister Imran Khan has announced a “grand gathering” in Peshawar on December 13 to “pay homage to the martyrs” killed during the party’s recent rally in Islamabad.

On November 13, incarcerated PTI founder Imran Khan issued a “final call” for nationwide protests on November 24, demanding the restoration of the PTI’s electoral mandate, the release of detained party members, and the reversal of the 26th Amendment, which he said had strengthened a “dictatorial regime”.

A day of pitched battles between security forces and PTI protesters across the federal capital ended in a hasty retreat of the party’s top leadership and supporters from the Red Zone in the early hours of November 27.

The PTI claimed that at least 12 party supporters died in Islamabad as a result of firing by law enforcement agencies (LEAs) during the party’s ‘final call’ protest. The government has repeatedly refuted the allegations, asserting that security personnel were deployed “without live ammunition”.

In his latest message, shared on his X account, Imran lamented that party supporters had been killed “as a result of state terrorism”, adding that a “dictatorship has been established in the country”.

“Hundreds of our workers are missing,” Imran said. “The Supreme Court should now take notice of this and play its constitutional role.

“We approached the Supreme Court, Lahore High Court and Islamabad High Court for serious violations of human rights, but no action was taken by the courts and the country has reached this point!” he added.

Imran’s latest message not only announced the rally but also the formation of a five-member negotiation team comprising Omar Ayub Khan, Ali Amin Gandapur, Sahibzada Hamid Raza, Salman Akram Raja and Asad Qaiser.

IHC’s Justice Arbab Tahir expresses dismay over arrests of ‘innocent’ people in wake of PTI protest

Islamabad High Court’s (IHC) Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir on Friday expressed his dismay over the apprehension of civilians not involved in last week’s PTI protest, following which the capital and Rawalpindi police arrested more than 1,400 suspects.

The remarks come amid claims by the PTI that the police have been discriminating against and racially profiling Pakhtuns as well as invading citizens’ privacy by conducting mobile checks of ordinary citizens to trace party supporters.

On Nov 13, Imran issued a “final call” for nationwide protests on Nov 24, demanding the restoration of the PTI’s electoral mandate, the release of detained party members, and the reversal of the 26th Amendment which he said had strengthened a “dictatorial regime”.

In the wake of the protest, human rights organisation Amnesty International demanded a transparent investigation of the state’s “deadly crackdown” to disperse PTI supporters from Islamabad’s D-Chowk, where they had gathered on Nov 26.

Numerous PTI workers were arrested in the ensuing crackdown while multiple cases were filed against the party leadership and supporters. According to the federal capital’s police chief, more than 1,400 suspects have been arrested by the Islamabad and Rawalpindi police.

Justice Tahir today took up a writ petition filed by Saeed Ahmed, brother of Sameer Ahmed, a vegetable vendor who the plea said was arrested from Islamabad’s F-10 and sent on judicial remand.

The petition stated that Sameer was sent to Adiala Jail after being taken into custody in connection with a case filed at Tarnol police station, in which he was not nominated but considered among the unidentified suspects.

It further alleged that Saeed and his father Zahoor Islam were threatened by the police of being arrested when they inquired about the case against Sameer.

Advocate Riasat Ali Azaad, president of the Islamabad High Court Bar Association (IHCBA), as well as the brother and father of the detained vendor, appeared before the court today.

During the hearing, Justice Tahir questioned how the police could “arrest people who were not even part of the protest”, asserting it was “totally wrong”.

The judge then disposed of the petition, ordering Advocate Azaad to plead the case as the complainant’s counsel and directing the police to oversee the matter.

A day of pitched battles between security forces and PTI protesters across the federal capital ended in a hasty retreat of the party’s top leadership and supporters from the Red Zone in the early hours of Nov 27.

During the three days of protests, at least four security personnel lost their lives, including a policeman and three Rangers officials who perished in a vehicular accident. On the other hand, the PTI has claimed 12 of its supporters died due to an alleged shooting by personnel, which the government has repeatedly denied.

The interior ministry has claimed the protesters included “1,500 hardcore fighters”, while Information Minister Attaullah Tarar has said 190 security personnel were injured, many from stone pelting and slingshots, but also alleged gunfire by protesters.

The Islamabad police chief alleged PTI protesters used automatic weapons alongside slingshots to target law enforcers, adding that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police officials were also part of the protest. He said the alleged presence of foreigners among the protesters was a point of concern. About 37 Afghan nationals were arrested in a week, as of Nov 28, according to the officer.

The hearing

Expressing his dismay over the police conduct, Justice Tahir asked: “What are you all doing, arresting people like these?

“This is totally wrong. How can you arrest people who were not even part of the protest?” he added.

To this, Advocate Azaad claimed: “IG sahib is busy chanting political slogans. Batteries have been stolen from lawyers’ cars in G-10 but the police are busy chanting political slogans.”

He went on to say that the police’s job is to protect people.

“Humanity is being humiliated, this is the capital Islamabad, not Balochistan,” the IHCBA president said. “This used to happen in Balochistan but now is also taking place in Islamabad.”

“Now that it is happening in Islamabad, you are feeling it,” Justice Tahir quipped.

Justice Tahir asked the vegetable vendor’s father what he does for a living, to which he replied saying he worked for Bykea.

Saeed, the detained vendor’s brother, informed the judge: “My brother was picked up from F-10 and on December 1 put on the unknown persons’ list in a protest case.

“He had nothing to do with the protest [but] was arrested from a checkpoint.”

Justice Tahir then directed the Islamabad deputy superintendent of police (DSP) legal to look into the case, lamenting again that the police arrested the innocent and sent them on judicial remand. The DSP Legal affirmed that he would look into the case and remain in touch with the affected family.

Directing Advocate Azaad to fight the petitioner’s case and file Sameer’s bail application in a trial court, the judge disposed of the petition.

These thugs are desperate for the massacre to go away. Look at the daily diversions of fake stories and as much as the PTI leadership on the outside has done its bit to help them, the public and IK won't let this be just another day at the office. These sacrifices must never be forgotten and the Shaheeds families must get justice. Munir ordered the killings and he and the whole leadership must be brought to justice.
