No please dont. Desis ruin arabic food by making it desi, just doesnt make sense, leave somethings authentic
probably one of the worse Labenese/Arab restaurant to eat at. Have tried the one in Niagra falls, never going back.
The Canadian paramounts are average at best. It's not the best authentic arab food you'll find in Canada. There are better places in Ottawa actually because of a fairly large Leb population there.
You probably dont like real arab food. The one in Karachi has excellent reviews.
Yes but we r talking about pakistan. There is no real arabic resturant in Pakistan. All the shawarma places in Karachi or Lahore add desi touch, they are not authentic. Paramount is the only real one
Even India does not have any real authentic arabic resturants
There are a few in my home town Hyderabad. Authentic ones run by real Arabs.
There are several Lebanese restaurants in Bangalore, Mumbai and Delhi.
I have tried Paramount in Markham, Canada (near Markham Rd and 14th Ave intersection). Its good but I think there must be better Lebanese restaurants in Greater Toronto Area.
It's very average to be honest. Way overhyped. And from what I know it's Canadian anyway so you can hardly call it authentic Lebanese
I do enjoy this place called Ridaan Mandi house. Mandi is an Arab dish. Don't know how authentic it is but it is tasty and good value for money
Have you tried this Paramount place in Canada? How is it there? Is it Pakistani-owned?Oh God I recently tried Mandi.... I think it is a Yemeni dish. My God that was DELICIOUS
Have you tried this Paramount place in Canada? How is it there? Is it Pakistani-owned?
But he has been to India ,he already has mentioned India It's people, food in all his threads., please don't correct someone with so much preconceived judgment.
Mandi has become very famous in Kerala is what all my Mallu colleagues are saying. kaayal looks like everyone is discussing that here as well.
I have asked several of Indian friends here in Canada, who have lived in the Middle East, they all say that the Shawarmas and Arabic places are Indianized versions of arab food there. Even I did some searching on the internet on Arabic foods in Delhi and Mumbai, they all looked Indianized versions. Maybe there some real places, but not over all, same is true for Pakistan, everything is desified, except this Paramount restaurant I am talking about
Syed1 not sure if you remember I asked you about Paramount an year ago and you thought then too it was meh, but seems like the opinion is very divided on it.
But as already acknowledged Mandi is what will be the next big like of Desis,it has picked up in India as well.
Has anyone tried the Lebanese restaurants in Islamabad? Are they genuine or desified? Heading to Islamabad in July.
Speaking of Mandi, I think it is just an inferior version of pulao. Quite a few Mandi places have popped in recent times, there is even one in Peshawar now.
Ya its 99% similar to Kabuli pulao, I think arabs probably learned it from central Asians at some point. The famous Bukhari rice dish in Mandi Restuarant is obviously central asian
Do they also cook this pulao under the soil like Mandi? Just curious...
theres like 10 different mandi places opened up in past one and a half years in karachi
