PCB Chairman Ramiz Raja announces the installation of 2 drop-in pitches

Pitches need to be ready for the Pindi games vs Windies - very little news of that.

I would like to see what state of the art means when it comes to chairs - was hoping for just seats instead of cement steps to sit on!

State of the art chairs hahaha.. are these goona be DBX type chairs they have in movie theatres? Maybe they’ll vibrate on every boundary and eject people upon a six.

Ramiz in a media interaction:

“These slow tracks are not serving our cricket in real terms. Since our forte is fast bowling, we have to look for those options where we can play to our strengths and also feel at ease while playing abroad. My intentions are to see Pakistan cricket at the top. The pitches we are playing are not good. It is impossible to carry drop-in pitches from Australia. We are however in the process of importing soil and specialist curators"

Report:

Australian pitch curator Darren Hough visited Naya Nazimabad Lawai Cricket Stadium to inspect the possibility of installing one of the two proposed drop-in pitches.

Speaking to reporters briefly on this occasion, Hough said facilities in this stadium are outstanding. "Its a very good ground, having a green outfield and good pitches. I don't feel any issues here," he said.
