Shaheen was focusing too much on batting during practice, so Mike Hesson said that’s not your role. Shaheen Afridi then said to Mike Hesson, “You’re just a coach, not the captain. I will do whatever I want. Go from here.”

For. Real? 😄🤣

Shaheen Shah Afridi: ‘My performance was best among everyone, so I’m not going to pay. And if anyone asks me to pay it, I’ll see them in court.’

chad if true...

it was a funny thing to do from PCB.... This is not some school where you will fine students... You can held them responsible and there are other better things to do atm like clean the house filled with parchi selectors, board chairman who makes useless remarks about surgery surgery and literally does nothing...

Younis Khan speaking to reporters:

“Is it confirmed? If it's confirmed, then it's not right. Earlier, an instance like that happened. In 2003, when we returned after the World Cup, Rashid Latif was made the captain. He received a message from the PCB that the match fees will be reduced to half, and the same would be done with allowance. 1-2 players had taken a stand against this.”

“The players now have to take a stand. If the players take a stand, then they wouldn't be fined.”

Rashid Latif:

“Weak boards take such decisions of fining players. All the things are mentioned in the central contracts. This is just some theory floated in the media for you guys to enjoy. Nothing will happen,”

Amir Mir, a spokesperson of the PCB, speaking to indian media outlets:

"No such decision was ever taken by the PCB. It was all social media gossip. There is no such precedence or provision."

Looks like naqvi makes a u turn

Would make more sense for PCB to do their job property - For example dropping players who do not perform / have not achieved anything in T20 to date.

Fines don't cut it.

Physical punishment is all the Pakistani people understand.

I'd put some British Pakistanis in charge of Pakistan cricket. We'd be up in the top 3 within a few years. Most of these players are dumb peasants. They need a beating every few weeks to keep them in line.
The last thing we want is our players to be part of grooming gangs

So a U turn by PCB. They figured out, it's not worth the backlash they will receive
