With a couple of vids floating around here during the last few weeks I thought that I should make a thread dedicated to pics and vids of us playing. So come out of hiding and post---- don't worry no one is gonna criticize you for lack of footwork or those airy drives:D

I will kick things off by posting a few of my own vids which my friend captured on his phone. Sorry for the lousy quality and thankful for the videos being quite short---- less of awkward batsmanship to view :))

You have a good stance and a tremendous footwork, man!:nonstop::14: May I ask, what bat you played with?
 
Thanks Amla. Not sure about my feet though--- they tend not to work half the times :))
I was playing with a SS Matrix.

Keep on playing and always believe in yourself. Two of the things are very important during batting: Concentration and Attention. I guess one day , you'll represent USA. Keep it up!:19::59:

I made a video last week while facing the bowling machine ... there's also footage of me not picking up the ball at all and getting cracked on the arm at about 115kmh. Still bruised, one week on.

Sad to hear that man. Feel free to post a video of yours when you get the chance. It will egg some other members to post as well.

I hope you are feeling better; one of those collateral damages of being in love with this game :(
 
I will be hopefully netting soon with bowling machine so will make a video and post it

To be honest, I enjoyed my 159 run making against the Indians, cuz I always love to play against them. They've always been my one of my weakest opponent, but despite the great fierce bowling from M.Sami.:sami
It kept quite low, and went through my pads. Well, I don't think of these much. Allhamdullilah, I am very happy to become who I am today. And I hope I get a lot more support from you guys and play this kind of innings much more often.

Your backlift is a lot like Dhoni's..Overall very good!:>
 
But much better than Dhoni's one. Dhoni's bit chubby, so his stance looks odd. Whereas, Zeusky bhai is tall, that's why he's one is much better.

Hmm.... I know I've some photos of me playing back in my high school days somewhere on my computer. I'll dig them up and make a fool of myself later tonight :)
 
I think there is no use of posting vids of your batting session which shows only one or two shots..

The vids should at least be of one or two minute which should show a variety of shots...:|

^yeah no point of havin a net session of 1 hr and then posting you best shot or your top 5, and we should get some bowling videos up aswell, hopefull won't rain 2day and then i will get a video up in a couple of days
 
Can we please keep this thread devoid of criticism? The idea is to coax people to upload their pics and vids and if they want to upload their best bets I do not see any harm in it. We are not here to judge anyone but to enjoy the virtual company of our forum friends. If we want tips on how to make our cricket better we can do a thread in the My Cricket part of this forum. Please let us keep this simple. I invite everyone to post whatever clips and pics of your game as you please. :D

what's the maximum size that can be posted? my video is 200 mb after compression - made a mistake of recording it in high def....
 
The thing is you will need to post it on a site like youtube and then embed it here. So it should not be any problem, but might take a long time to upload it on Youtube because of the size of your file. :)
 
Yup, upload on YouTube and then share URL here.

If you have gmail email account that would work on YouTube as well

i use my slaz in matches , no the bat is not SG , it is a kashmir willow bat for practice .................... these bats are made in jalandhar , india

Thank you for the kind words :) I should be doing a batting video with pro coach in a few weeks when the next course starts, and my club is thinking of creating their own youtube channel for analysis, so hopefully more to come.

Oh and the surface is very weird, sort of like the indoor centres at old Trafford and headingley, I can't really describe it

Btw...nice action Bro :)....reminds me of me when I used to bowl medium pace before I changed to spin :)....the surface looks like a badminton or basketball court....would be a pain batting on it...

It's horrible to bat on, really fast and skiddy, even a medium pacer like me can be quite imposing :akhtar

I'm no expert but you have a very smooth action along a very good run up. I think you're doing quite good job, your action and run up which is main thing all looks very good. More importantly your follow through was good too.

Overall very good bowling mate!

If I'm not mistaken didn't the ball swing into left handers a bit?

Hello Cover Drive! Thank you for the complement, I try to use the natural angle of being left handed to move the ball across the stumps into left handers, which is hard to spot on the video, very nice spot!

Ah okay, as I earlier mentioned it was quite good. It certainly looked it will trouble the batsman.
 
the first video if an innings of mine in 2009. and using the softer juggs balls

Where do you get the hard juggs; we only get the soft ones, no pun intended :D
