The HBL Pakistan Super League has made history with a spectacular unveiling of its landmark 10th edition trophy, Luminara, in Karachi’s coastal waters. This unprecedented move marks a new milestone in the league’s legacy, symbolising innovation, resilience, brilliance, and the spirit of Pakistan’s premier T20 competition.

A striking masterpiece, Luminara is crafted from a single sheet of solid silver, precisely machined to create its intricate stone settings. Weighing 10 kilograms, the trophy is adorned with 22,850 high-luster zircon stones, reflecting the talented stars, passion, energy, and competitive excellence that define HBL PSL.

The name Luminara signifies illumination, derived from the Latin word ‘luminare’ meaning ‘torch’ and ‘lumens’ meaning ‘light.’ It embodies the league’s decade-long journey of leading the way for cricketing excellence and entertainment.

The unveiling was conducted in the open waters of the Arabian Sea, where a professional diver recovered a treasure chest from the deep sea with the support of the Pakistan Navy and handed over the prized trophy to HBL PSL stakeholders present in Karachi. The narrative signifies a breathtaking display symbolising the league’s depth, evolution, and unwavering spirit. This unique spectacle was witnessed by HBL and PCB officials, franchise representatives, and cricketers further amplifying the excitement leading up to HBL PSL X.

Chairman PCB Mohsin Naqvi:

The 10th edition of HBL PSL is set to take place in four cities – Karachi, Lahore, Multan and Rawalpindi from 11 April to 18 May. The opening match will be played between the defending champions Islamabad United and Lahore Qalandars at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.

IPL trophy is too large and looks like something from 1980's. BPL trophy is too small.

I think PSL trophy has the best design here.

Since I do not watch BPL (or any other T20 league), I wasn't aware BPL trophy looked like this. It looks embarrassingly bad and reminds me of a lota.

All three are ugly

However there is a Difference between the PSL trophy and the IPL Cup.

The trophy changes every years, but the cup stays the same and its just one orginal cup that transfers hands, while a replica is kept.

Usually there is some historial significance to thè cup aswell.

However IPLs cup is quite ugly.

HBL PSL X trophy tour announced

The first-ever trophy tour in the history of HBL PSL will commence today from Hyderabad and Karachi, with ‘Luminara’ scheduled to travel to 11 cities across Pakistan till 29 March, the PCB announced today.

The 10th edition of HBL PSL is scheduled to take place in four cities—Karachi, Lahore, Multan, and Rawalpindi—from 11 April to 18 May.

In the first leg of the trophy tour, the Luminara Trophy will be displayed at various locations across Hyderabad and Karachi till 15 March.

Following Hyderabad and Karachi, the trophy will travel to Lahore, Multan, Bahawalpur, Faisalabad, Peshawar and Islamabad. The second leg of the trophy tour will be announced in due course.

HBL PSL Chief Executive Officer Salman Naseer:

“The HBL PSL trophy tour is a celebration of Pakistan’s rich culture, its diverse communities and most importantly, its deep-rooted passion for cricket. The tour aims to fulfill our desire to increase the physical reach of the HBL PSL throughout Pakistan. I love simplicity and old classic styles so i would have gone with the IPL trophy if it was from any other nation.

I think the inspiration for it came from our first CWC which is also the best looking CWC trophy to date in my opinion.

I think its more of Stanley Cup inspiration with engraving of past winning teams in the base, Stanley Cup goes with engraving of names of all winning players, coaches etc. Trophy design is otherwise pretty generic.
