Pakistan kick off their T20I series against Bangladesh today with an exciting lineup, and all eyes will be on Salman Mirza, making his debut in the green jersey! From domestic standout to international stage, it’s a proud moment for the young pacer to show what he’s got.

A promising right-arm fast bowler, Salman Mirza has been on the radar of Pakistan’s selectors after impressive domestic performances. Part of Pakistan’s squad for the Bangladesh series, he replaces key pacers like Shaheen Afridi (rested) and Haris Rauf (injured). Known for his ability to generate pace and movement, Mirza’s inclusion adds fresh energy to Pakistan’s bowling attack.

Nice debut for young Salman. But the might of Bangladeshi was too much to be undone by the Pakistanis.

Salman Mirza gets the prized scalp of Liton Das for his side, early in the 2nd T20I against Bangladesh.

What a spectacular series for Salman Mirza, another great bowling display by him against Bangladesh in the 3rd T20I. His figures so far 3/15 in 3 overs.

Man I have been very impressed with this guy. Bowled swing well, good short stuff and good line-length bowling. Showed the toil domestic cricket has reaped his rewards for him.

Am I hyping him up to say there is a bit of Mohammed Amir in him post ban? Nevertheless, an impressive debut series for Salman.

He is good bowler and has got good 2/3 years of cricket left in him.
And considering the fact that he has played only 6 FC games he definitely punched above his weight.

Pretty good start this from Salman.. Really liked his overall performance. He can swing and can bowl a good slower one also... Overall, a pretty good thinking bowler. Should be given all the chances that he can get before the big events.

Salman is another example that pace isn’t everything. You can tell from his arm action, the way he rolls the ball off his fingers, and the movement he generates that he’s going to be effective. HE reminds me of FazalHaq Farooqi from Afg. There aren’t many bowlers in the circuit who you can look at and immediately recognize as impact bowlers. Ihsanullah was one of them — and he had pace too — but unfortunately, his career was cut short due to incompetence.

Another bowler who clearly has the potential to be an attacking, impact player is Sufiyan Muqeem. I have no idea why he isn’t being groomed. He could become an impact bowler like Kuldeep Yadav, and his height gives him the ability to extract extra bounce, making him even more dangerous.

No offense to bowlers like Daniel, Fahim, or Afridi, but their bowling is quite ordinary. This is where they need to rely on experience and intelligence to compensate for their lack of natural swing, pace, or raw ability. Fahim, to his credit, seems to be figuring that out, and his developing skill set — combined with his batting ability — adds depth to the lineup
