Is it a case of Indians being defensive or others onstantly trying to dilute the performance of a good team at every opportunity. I am not talking about you.

This so called advantage disadvantage is massively exaggerated. They started this campaign even before India played its first match. Basically according to them India had advantage in their first match lol They played on a totally different pitch in the next match. Dead rubber match played on the first surface. Semi final played on a new strip. Apart from lack of travel which is again overly exaggerated to an extent that somehow lack of travel will make you a better cricketer , there is no real advantage
I have already spoken on the other points so I am not going to repeat myself again. Even Shami, who has played all these matches has admitted that playing at the same venue has been an advantage for India.

In regards to the travel, its not about whether it will make you a better or worse cricketer. But travel does take a toll on the body. You get tired. Someone who hasn't travelled between two countries multiple times is obviously going to be fresher, more well-rested than someone who has. People like Gavaskar make it out like 'oh, it's just a one hour thirty minute flight from Pakistan to UAE'...well, when you travel like this it pretty much takes out an entire day because after a long flight you are too tired to do a training session that day. If you are coming after playing a match, you may take another day to rest and recuperate. You don't face any of these things when you are playing all your matches at the same venue.

Short travels won't impact you as much as you think. Nz travel schedule is proof of it. Miller even admitted they had enough time to recuperate. NZ team and Australian team did not think it was a big deal. Both did well. You do more workout in a gym than that. India has participated in Test championship final right after IPL. Without complaint. NZ had already played a test series in England and played the final. Every team is going to have some schedule advantage in every tournament. NZ was the most impacted. They could very well win it. They were not rrally whining about it. They had the advantage in WTC final, they had the advantage in 2019 semi final where they had opportunity to bowl to India next day morning instead of same day.
How many batted for India. Not many. England deliberately reduced one side of boundary to 59 meter in a must win game against India. Where was English media. What about boundary count deciding world cup win. Blame is on their cricketing boards not raising this concern during scheduling. Whining about it during the tournament is nothing but sour grapes.

Gary Stead: 'Hectic travel schedule takes it out of you a bit.'

No offense but I feel like the people actually going through this travel and are playing in this tournament are better placed to say whether its hectic or not as opposed to you, who is watching these matches from the comfort of his home.

Miller is supporting NZ in the final. Not surprised at all. :inti

I am yet to find a non-Indian who is rooting for India in the final. :yk
