His best game ever with the bat in T20

So he can bat at number 3 but we were insistent on rubbish like Shan Masood and Mohammad Harris on this position?

Oh please. We all saw the difference between the 2 at the World Cup.

Peak Babar getting absolutely owned by average off spinners whereas declining Kohli was scoring ton after ton .

This comparison has no merit .

They were able to beat Babar even once? or Babar gifted his wicket away by himself?

Babar was a failure by his standards which he has set very high since his debut, he was a supreme success if we see it from your standards. Averaging 40+ with 4 50+ scores.
 
he is almost 30 years old on paper. He hasn't learnt the art of batting.

Kane Williamson scored 57 of 42 balls with a SR of 136
Babar Azam scored 57 of 35 balls with a SR of 163

Both play similar roles for their team and Babar was much better. We just needed him to carry on a little longer or have another batsman lower down contribute and we would have won.

Babar was inferior to all of India's Top 6 bar Gill. Inferior to even Mahmudullah and Pathum Nissanka at the World Cup amongst many others but sure.

His standards are so exalted that they're only to visible to bats at night.

Virat the choker hasn't won his team anything. After getting a million useless runs at the world cup he choked once again like he does and failed when it mattered the most.
 
Some Pakistani fans and their bending over backwards to Indian players. They have no problems when their Indian masters score useless of million runs and come with any excuse under the sun, but when their own players do they have a problem.

Also Sharjah..two centuries.

Kohli is another story but still he has been better than Babar even in tailend of his career, the MCG knock was better than what Babar did today.

Never denied he never scored runs which won his team games. He also scored a million of useless runs according to the criteria from ppl here.

Pathetic mindset. To get a 50 on this wicket is nothing special.

Did he finish the game, did he won it? No. Doing bhangra over a 50 while losing the match.

Actually in that logic Kohli has less useless runs than Sachin.. his runs have made much of an impact on our wins.

Sachin is the GOAT ODI bat with a world title and Virat has won so many games for India. Just look at his record as test captain.
 
Bit of a stop start innings today wasn't it.

Some good periods and a few overs where he struggled.
 
Just for fun,

If one batsman is going to score 31 runs in 25 balls in T20 while chasing 226,

95 balls are left and 196 runs to be scored by same the batsman and others.

Very hard to do. Yes ground was tiny but on the same ground why play 30 runs in the first 25 balls. Just play fast.
 
Now it would be more difficult for him to score freely as he won't be playing in the power play so expect a further downfall in his strike rate.

No one is going goo goo gaa. It's the other way round. His haters are losing their sleep because he scored a 50 and now they are adamant in proving it to be a useless a 50.

Whereas Kohli not being able to win the World Cup for his country is definitely an individual failure or uselessness in your assessment.

Talk about Babar's performance only, else we have other threads available for this comparison stuff. All irrelevant stuff will be removed now.

50 off 36 balls chasing 200 runs is a poor score and won't help chase it.

I am playing your game. Runs are useless when it doesn't help their team win.

Babar had a poor tournament. I don't defend or hate players blindly.

But you had to bring Kohli ( an ATG) into the game because you were upset Babar wasn't getting enough credit for his Stat padding.

Enjoy the 44 off 33 balls Stat padded 50 today chasing 200 runs.
 
Babar is doing well in this series, scoring back-to-back fifties with a reasonable strike rate. I can't blame him because he is in the phase of gaining his rhythm back.

I am using your logic hence bought Kohli. It's clearly evident how obsessed you are with Rizwan and Babar.

I would take a 10 ball zero from Babar in t20 provided Pakistan wins. In your case same can't be said if he contributes to our win.

Out of his 66 runs he scored, 40 runs came of 9 balls with 4s & 6s. Remaining 26 runs he scored of 34 balls with singles & doubles. He needs to improve this gap and reduce the number of dot balls otherwise he will always end on a losing side. Fakhar also has similar problem that's why his overall SR is same as Babar but today he scored @ SR of 200

Babar Azam 2.0 appears to be worse than the original Babar

If he is to return to his best than he must take a break from international cricket and grind it out in first class cricket for a minimum of two seasons

We saw the difference in '19 WC too where one was at his peak while other one was playing his WC at the age of 24 in english conditions :)

Babar has badly regressed. Scoring unimpactful stat padding inconsequential fifties is not what you would expect from a 9-10 year veteran.

Kohli had already become a legend for India in half the time. The criticism and comparison with Kohli is justified because of the hype and fandom Babar enjoys.
 
Openers falling short too early and nr 5 and 6 failing miserably was the issue.

Jamal and Usama both been taken apart so far.

Would swap them for Nawaz and Zaman. May be sahibzada for Azam too.
 
Thought it was a very good innings today, somewhere back to his best after a string of low scores, very fluent and apart from a period in overs 10-13 where he slowed down (in keeping with the falling of wickets around him), I thought he played to his ability.
The innings today just reiterated that he doesn't have the power game, thats it. If Pakistan needs 40 plus runs from last 3, Babar won't do it alone, he'll need someone to match him shot for shot and thats the top limit of his game in limited overs cricket.

Tendulkar also wasn't always a match winner but look at the impact he created on international cricket.

If Babar is scoring consistently but not finishing the game it doesn't mean that he is a failed cricketer. As a top order batter he is doing his job quite well.

Tendulkar was scoring against all team both away and home in tough conditions .babar failed miserably in last test series and Last two world cup.
Now Babar fan came up when he scored two meaningless t20 fifty.

Where was he when Pakistan needed him to perform in Australia .

Had he performed in test series yet Pakistan lost the series still peoples would have rememberd those performance like Kohli scored 4 test century in Australia but still india lost the series, no one said they were useless hundreds .
