I agree he has no brains but why not give Zaman Khan a chance he has variations pluss he can bowl at the death (Like Amir)
To be honest I wouldnt mind Zaman khan. I rate him higher than Naseem & Rauf.

All he needs now is a World Cup and IPL winners medal
What an achievement that would be for him.
He has been our champion bowler at a grand stage. The question is about his gas left in the tank. If he by miracle gets himself fit, he can’t be any worse than Harris, Naseem, or Waseem.
I'm surprised Sethi hasn't had a meeting with Amir to discuss his future.
That should be the way to end the speculation one way or another.
Amir is a good bowler. Still is.Pakistan has a great record of carrying washed up players to the cricket World Cup, so why shouldn’t it continue this rich tradition?
Objectively, Amir adds nothing to Pakistan cricket expect drama. PCT is better off with Ihsanullah & other young players who put their country before their ambitions and greed.
He's a walking stick these days. Hasn't played one tournament in the last year where he hasn't gotten injured.Mohammad Amir injured himself while taking a catch during the match between Bangla Tigers and New York Strikers in the Abu Dhabi T10 League 2023. If there is a fracture, he might be ruled out from the tournament now.

A remarkable performance by amir today. Well, this would help him in Psl auction later.
As if he needs helpA remarkable performance by amir today. Well, this would help him in Psl auction later.
Seems like he's finally found the right format for him. Can't bowl 4 overs without breaking down.A remarkable performance by amir today. Well, this would help him in Psl auction later.
Point to think is whether he delivers with the same intensity in the PSL or not.A remarkable performance by amir today. Well, this would help him in Psl auction later.

Mohammad Amir met PCB chairman. Is he going to get some role soon?

We are yet to see him in a position other than as a player but his game thinking and sense as a bowler specially in T20 format is too good. It's either about him taking his retirement back or him be a bowling mentor for the side.

The young Pakistani pace lot lacked his presence in the dressing room. Shaheen probably would've learned a lot more as a bowler.
No outright dismissalPCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi during Press conference, On question regarding Mohammad Amir said:
"They will make this decision (pointing towards Wahab Riaz and Mohammad Yousuf), but I think give them some time, they will make this decision."
Outperformed against who?But he’s past his best. Shaheen, Naseem, Haris Rauf have all outperformed Amir in their recent years
lets look at the future, your highest wicket taker in PSL 9 is Usama Mir followed by Mohammed ali , imad wasim, and hasan aliWhy do we have to turn back to our past every time?
Amir is retired, he might be better than some bowlers but he is not interested in representing Pakistan after being reached out repeatedly by the selector. His chapter should be closed now.
amirs career average is above shaheen naseem and rauf the only pacer ahead of amir in t20's is umar gul and amir has played big teams rather than minnows and d teamsMight still be good enough for t20s. But he’s past his best. Shaheen, Naseem, Haris Rauf have all outperformed Amir in their recent years of playing too compared to Amir’s performance in the last few years of his career. Not saying they are necessarily better, but it’s a sign maybe focus on guys younger with more of their career left, then one more good year of Amir before he retires.
We made a mistake forcing Amir to play tests. You could see he was struggling to handle it. Maybe it’s the fact it’s not easy to have such a long break out and come back. It’s just we had no sympathy because he was a fixer. Should have just played ODIs and T20s, and he’d probably have bowled at full speed as a result and had a better record. I also think his LOI record is underrated, many teams played him out and then attacked his less economical fast bowlers playing alongside him in the Pakistan team. Which is why his wicket tally suffered.
Management is just too emotional when handling players. Feel like somehow these players owe fans/management. Better to just focus on getting the best out the formats they are suited for. If they don’t want to play those formats, great, give it to a guy who badly wants it. Much better than forcing unwilling players to play or worse risk injuries. I have supported not playing fixers in order to discourage fixing. But going along with the idea that fixers have to produce better performance than normal or play all formats so that we can forgive them is silly. Once they are selected, they should be treated like anyone else. Or just don’t select them in the first place.
Somewhat disagree, naseem in that game was burnt out thanks to our loser captain at the time.Outperformed against who?
-Naseem has hardly played proper white ball international cricket. He was deleted by Indian batsmen in the Asia cup prior to the World Cup
-Rauf is there for all to see, he’s a batsman’s dream bowler to face
-Shaheen has become predictable and is not the Shaheen of 2 years ago
Amit is still the most intelligent white ball pacer in Pakistan. He was honing his skill as a T20 bowler that can be invested in playing league cricket around the world against overseas players that are hired to go hard from ball 1.
You can try to be disingenuous towards him but that would be a false statement
Amir is much clever bowler than all current pakistani bowlers.Somewhat disagree, naseem in that game was burnt out thanks to our loser captain at the time.
On top of that he still got Gill out 2x if it wasn't for our joke fielding.
Edit: Not saying he's better then Amir, just saying he's probs pur only actually white ball bowler besides Amir.
In 2018 he averaged over 100 in ODIs with the ball. He did better in 2019 with 25. But remember people getting annoyed with his performances in 2018. Personally I don’t really think it was his fault too much, I think it was a bit of bad luck and team mates who relieved a lot of pressure. In t20s 2019 he averaged 26. Which isn’t terrible but it’s still worse than his norm.Outperformed against who?

When Amir retires, you will start seeing the emergence of the u19 battery especially that 15 year old Kid who has an action similar to Courtney Walsh, and maybe Ubaid and Zeeshan developing nicely. In 2018 he averaged over 100 in ODIs with the ball. He did better in 2019 with 25. But remember people getting annoyed with his performances in 2018. I think that year in ODIs alone damage Amir’s reputation a bit. People thought it was ridiculous. I think if that year never happened, I’m not sure Amir would have been removed from all formats.
In general his performances to many felt a bit under par in his last few years in the team. Shaheen and Rauf have done better than that statistically and have been much better at picking up wickets. Naseem is a weird one, it’s mainly because he’s just done so well in Odis he averages 17 there.
I was against dropping him. But I remember there being complaints about him around that time by fans. Some weren’t exactly that disappointed to get rid of him when he refused to play tests.
That’s why I don’t know if it’s a great idea to recall him. He’s on his last legs now. And Shaheen, Rauf and Naseem haven’t exactly been a terrible attack. In a year or two when Amir has to retire, we are probably going back to that anyway. At least Shaheen and Naseem anyway.
Well, this wasn’t true was it?No sir. I have never sold the countrys honor for a few poinds
People dont want him in the team cause he sold the country, simple as that.
Its the one law in cricket you can violate and he did just that.
Is he fit enough to play an ICC tournament which is a month long?
If he seriously wants to play for Pakistan in the upcoming T20 World Cup, then he must take his fitness seriously and hit the gym for the next two months, otherwise he will break down after few games. Mark my words
Nah.
It’s just 4 overs per game.
League players are built for this.
They absolutely embarrass themselves in ODIs and Tests though like Haris Rauf, Shadab, Nawaz and lately Amir (who was great in Tests too but after the comeback no longer fit).
At least Amir is still OK for 3-4 overs.
He’s only 31. He has been playing league cricket. His experience will be invaluable and if another bowler is struggling, bringing him in will give the team confidence vs someone who doesn’t understand how to use the crease or utilize the slower ball.
Unless you have proof he age fudged then it’s just hearsay. Whatever his punishment was at the time, he paid the price. Whether someone thinks it was fair or unfair is irrelevant, he is available now and it’s up the board to decide if he makes the team.Yeah nah.
In fact whoever fudged his age did it perfectly. Another few months here or there and he would have been languishing in a prison cell in the UK like his mates Asif and Butt.
