He is part of the playing XI for the Tri-series final against New Zealand and will undoubtedly feature in the CT2025 XIs as well.

So, what can be expected from the second coming of Faheem Ashraf?

Not sure if he will 'undoubtedly feature' in CT. I think Pakistan have a good enough combination without him. Once Haris Rauf slots back in you won't have to worry about the third pacer either.

Today I guess they figured he can't do any worse than Hasnain did in the last match and he may offer a little bit more with the bat too.

Believe me a time will come during this tournament when he will be in the playing XI!

This is FA 3.0,
2.0 was the one the that found form in PSL and still sucked.

Faheem has a chance to prove his critics wrong by making a strong statement in the final of the tri nation... He cannot miss the train here

'All-rounder' departs – final of the Tri-Nation ODI series

He is an all-rounder. I expect him to take wickets as well.

He'll probably bowl alright on a slow stopping wicket but on flat track I'm expecting him to replicate his rotten overall record.

Faheem Ashraf the finisher, he didnt let Glenn Phillips finish the final with a boundary instead bowled a wide to finish the match himself for the Newzealand. What a talent 😄 😄 😄

Jamal has already won a T20 game for Pakistan on his debut with the ball. He can also hit big. Already shown in international Cricket.

Faheem on the other hand is tried and tested failure.
His selection was on the basis of deep connections because his performance is not worth it.

When selections are based on connections it will backfire sooner or later . Faheem is one example there is no way he should have been in squad . This is clear case of nepotism

What's the second version of Faheem, as if the 1st version was blockbuster. Averaging 40 with ball and 10 with bat, with last 9 games average 100 with ball & 9 with bat.

More like the 2nd version is Faheem **kks and 1st was Faheem the jerq

Why can’t Pakistan get this selection right?

7 to 11 should be

Faheem
Wasim
akif
Rauf
Sufyan

Faheem can bat better than Niazi at this point

Brother corr ct me if im wrong but is this really the 2.0 version or the same player.

I remember back in the day we saw engine 2.0 versions of Imran Farhat, Shobby Malik and Mo Hafeez.

In case of Mo Hafeez we even saw Vol 3.0 as help getting better.

Having said it’s not something that you get with every return to the team. If that was the case Shoaib Akhtar would have many versions but he was never 2.0 and remained the same beast until his body gave up.

Faheem must earn the 2.0 tag by transforming himself

We desperaty need him to perform, if selected, in SENA conditions where extra seamer is useful ... I was one of the unfortunate few who saw his batting LIVE against Bangladesh in a warm up before CT 2017 ...and that was his best ODI inns ...lol

It's reached the point that Pakistan have nothing to lose by playing him. He can contribute more with bat and ball than Irfan Khan, probably could contribute more than Tayyab Tahir with the bat too.

Maiden ODI 50 for him and a 6 to bring that.... having a good day so far against Kiwis.

Faheem playing blinder here..Can he pull this off? .Great performance in this match an alrounder

Not 100% convinced but he’s definitely becoming a contender for lower order batting positions. I’m still no fan of his bowling so I will continue to judge him as a pure batter only until he’s improved his bowling significantly.

These innings shouldn’t be rated . Match was gone already . Don’t be fooled by this crap

I may have been wrong.

Maybe he’s indeed a legit Vol 2.0

@Major @Slim
Please verify

Thanks

Failure for Rana g in the final ODI of the series... Good outing for him overall in this tour...

I think he should be kept for SENA nations only..

Today wasn’t his day.

The stage was set for him and the kind of stage he thrives in. But just wasn’t his days. He still is a solid batsman for Pakistan down the order brother.

Faheem Ashraf is another TTF. He does not deserve any more chances. Time and time again he proves he is not worth investing in

These types of ups and downs will serve Faheem well when he becomes a government minister in the future. It is good training for the rigors of political life for the youngster.
