[PICTURES] Horrible knock on head for Imam-ul-Haq - Why did it take so long to take him off?

He was falling over etc - clearly he should have been take off asap, even though he wanted to stay on

I saw it live. It was an entire saga in itself, from getting hit first and until the Ambulance struggled to exit the ground.

Hope he is fine.

Bad hit. But bad shot also, ball was not that short. He really needs to work in his pull shot, otherwise he will not be scoring runs outside Asia at all.

From PCB: Imam ul Haq taken to hospital for scans.

Best wishes wish Imam. He always seems like a very decent kid. Hope he gets better at the earliest.

Holy cr*p no way! That’s a clear sign his brains scrambled like being hit on the side of the head in boxing. He could have a concussion. I see he walked off, do you think he should of been put on a stretcher for his safety?

Imam never should have been put in a situation to decide for himself.

Players would stay in when they can to avoid being labeled "soft".

Take him off and let the appropriate professionals review and make their judgement.

News is that the scans are clear. He is advised 72 hours rest as a precaution

Looked bad. The way he was acting were clear symptoms of concussion. Same thing happened to my friend a couple of weeks. He was standing outside, then fell backwards and banged his head and had to go in the ambulance to the hospital. Hopefully he'll be okay for the Tests, as he will be an important player.

The way he was walking later indicates he had a concussion. Hope he gets alright soon. Hope it's just that and not any damage.

Why wasn't the ambulance parked facing the exit and thus avoid all the hassle of turning around? One would think that would be one of the first common sense things taught at Ambulance Driving school.

Great news. Thanks!

Glad he's ok, but for safety measure he should sit out the last ODI regardless if he's cleared by the physios.

"Fine Knock" isn't a term I would be using in this situation.

Did anyone notice not one of the NZ players came up and checked if he was okay? Yet imad didn’t run a second off a over throws cuz Latham fell over.

So did I. I though it was very unethical of them. Even Boult kind of gave Fakhar a cold shoulder when Fakhar accidentally bumped into him, and last game I think it was Taylor who was suspecting Hafeez of chucking. Very unprofessional on their part and not good decorum.

Yeah I don’t get how they are considered these good guys of cricket. If anything Pakistan is.

Starting from 1990 NZ was basically the whipping boys for every single Pakistani team until 2010; bashing like that for nearly 2 decade leaves a lot of mental scars and the players who are playing right now would've grown up on those phaintys everytime the two sides met.

The animosity they have basically is the result of those drubbings we were so accustomed to given the Kiwis, not ethical or in the spirit of the game but clearly understandable.

Hope Imam will not lose his confidence, we all know Ahemd Shehzad used to be a good batsman until he had a similar incidence.

A player hit on his head is NOT a blessing in disguise.

Can we keep all such comments about his batting skills etc off this thread? There are other threads for his batting for that.

Besides his health, this is the other question that i thought about. The other batsman it has happened to in recent years is Broad.

Lol, was thinking the same but then again they say Malik is a sunny guy so he probably tried to be funny.

Mixed feeling about this tweet going by the posts in this thread.

Happy that he is fine, but under observation of the physio doesn’t give much confidience.

Now hurt on his knee(?) and off the field
