TBH this is the first time I'm seeing him bowl every ball and it seems some of the delieveries he bowls from a very malinga style action which looks like he is chucking.. Most of the balls look normal but occasionally it seems he crosses the 15 degree or whatever angle there is..

Any thoughts?

Round arm slingy action. That is not chucking . In fact, there's barely any extension at all.

Not watching the match but if he is then needs to be reported and tossed, blessing in disguise for India

Chucking or not, he just doesn't add any value to our team at the moment and only wasting one spot in the middle order. The sooner we get rid of him, the better are our chances of having a solid middle order.

Can we dispose him off in the name of chucking? Like seriously he adds absolute nothing to the team. He cant bat, cant field, and certainly cant catch even dollies.

Kedar does not chuck. He probably needs to be dropped but again that has nothing to do with his bowling action.

Agar chucking karke bhi yeh haal hai...........

Bold part explains why Indian team is in turmoil. Our management and selectors PROBABLY thinks there is nothing wrong with our Team.

There are lots of issues with our team. Kedar is not the only one. You will be kidding yourself, if you think Dropping Kedar will suddenly get rid of all the problems. I am not even convinced that Hardik Pandya is good enough to play as an all-rounder in the X1. We will know the answer to this when we take the next round of overseas tours. India is currently a top heavy batting line up and Rohit, Dhawan and Kohli need to burden the batting in most of the games. The batting from number 4-7 isn't anything to write home about and even though you dislike Dhoni, he is the only one who can score some runs and dig you out of a hole if the team gets into one. I am a big supporter of getting new players in the team to see how they go and I was very disappointed when Kohli got rid of both Rahul and Pandey from the X1 to accommodate Rahane and Dinesh Karthik. Kohli doesn't seem to care about the future, he is happy being in the present and win few home series to boost his stats.

Overall the management including the selection committee sucks big time and things aren't going to change as our captain likes Kedar Jadhav, Ajinkya Rahane and possibly Dinesh Karthik as well.

Biggest problem we have is Kohli leading the team. R Sharma shouldve been appointed the captain for LOIs. Kedar may not be the big problem but he along with Dhoni makes our team one dimensional. Those two are not certain starter and we are giving them free reign.

[PICTURE] Is Kedar Jadhav's bowling action legal?

Some screenshots from Video, seems like throwing

perfectly legal. as long as the elbow dont bend by certain allowed degree. his elbow is quite straight so its legal. similar like malinga action.

Is there a straightening of the elbow you spotted? Didn't think so. It's legal.

NEXT!

I would declare it illeagal if it were up to me. Annoying action which makes you want to run after him with the bat.

Chucking is about extending at the elbow. You can bowl with a bend at the elbow if you want to as long as you don then extend more than the 15 degrees.

For those attacking OP. perfectly legit question to ask when someone has a unique action.

He isn't chucking.

Hidding behind all excuses that one can think of. Why is it difficult to accept that India is showing Pakistan it's place in cricket :kohli

It's not illegal but it's very dull and boring...someone like Mike Hussey would sweep him for 2-3 sixes in an over, and he would be taken off..

Mike Hussey was just an average batsman. If you believe that MH was skillful enough to sweep KJ where does it leave our own batsmen who floundered today?

This excuse simply won't cut it, we need more plausible excuses if we loose today.

Kedhar Jadhav - Bowling Action

I find it alot dodgy , he is slingy but to me he certainly chucks!
add to that he wears full sleeves while bowling off spin which always makes it suspect!
why hasn't he been called yet for chuckingKedar-Jadhavs-round-arm-shod-via-ICC.jpg

Nope, didn't see him chucking.

Also wearing full-sleeves doesn't automatically mean he's chucking. That's just something orchestrated on this site by some posters, and has grown into something these fans hold onto for their particular views.

In 1 out of 5 of those slingy deliveries he chucks. But because it doesnt happen often, it will be ignored.

Also, what an annoying action.

Hahaha I'm loving it. From all those chest thumping on this forum till just yesterday and to see the same bunch now almost cry on a nothing rubbish bowler of this old geriatric Indian team

What a beautiful sight

His action is within the laws and is legal. He is very short and bowls at very low trajectory so every ball "keeps low ". If Lambus like Irfan , Garner and Morkel can use height for their advantage, why not shorties like Jadhav. We were beaten by a better team on the day, no excuse.

No he doesn't. With such a slingy action, it's incredibly difficult and disadvantageous to chuck. Any extension would be minimal and well within the limits.

Perfectly legal, like the spinner's version of Malinga and with his short height it is quite a handful.

It was jus a dead rubber
Why so triggered bro

has nothing to do with that india pakistan match is never a dead rubber, and congratz on win, but he is clearly chucking, he has been doing it for a while but we all know what happens when you play for India. I am not saying that if he didnt play we would win, cuz thats not true, we batted very poorly im sure if dhoni bowled, he would pick up some wickets too

Kedar Jadhav Bowling action

Kedar Jadhav bowls almost like a baseball ball pitcher. I am by no means a cricket expert, but his chucking and weird bowling action is just too obvious.

No spin nothing, just comes in throws the ball like a baseball pitcher. Compare his action with Kuldeep Yadav and you will see the huge difference.

It is not chucking. He wants to keep the trajectory low. He doesn't do anything with the ball. No doora, No gigantic turn. Most of them are just straight ball.

Yeah but he wont be banned like Taskin.
BCCI=ICC, remember?
:srini

I thought chucking is done to get more speed or spin on the ball.

Jhadav doesn't even get the ball to spin and he bowls at 80kph all the time.

If he is chucking it surely isn't making any difference. :))

It astonishes me nobody has hit him for 6 sixes in an over. He is just the type of bowler I would never respect when I am batting.

I think that is where he wins. Because batsmen think they can whack him just like that.

Just look at the batsmen he's gotten out:

Williamson
Steve Smith
Warner
Tamim
Mushfiqur
Babar
Angelo Mathews.... and many more

The list of people he's gotten out shows that he gets good batsmen out. So he is obviously doing something right.

I think he hardly gives you any pace, so my approach towards him would to bat out of my crease (also prepared to back down should he fire a quick one). He doesn't spin so i really dont know how come he has gotten those big names out.

Has he been called by the ICC? Lets all stop applying our half-baked knowledge etc

Some real cricketing experts here, huh?

He is not a chucker. If he was, he would have been called like Dhawan and Rayudu were.

When he is called then you can call him a chucker until then there's nothing you can say.

India usually ensure that the chuckers aren't selected for international cricket.

Absolutely correct.

He is not chucking but I don't like it. It's irritating. He goes so low almost looks like he os bowling underarm.

ICC has to make new rule to rule hime out.
Something like
" player can't bend his knee more than 15 degree"

People having no idea what chucking is suspecting him, hahahahha. No, he doesn't chuck. Sling is not chuck.

Get real folks.

I spoke about this months ago, it is certainly an illegal action. Malinga had a sliny action but his arm was dead straight. This guy clearly chucks it and if it can be seen on TV, it can certainly be seen by the umpires, who are probably too scared to say anything.

A bowler chucks to either get more speed or more spin (eg. a doosra). Kedar always bowls around the 80k mark and doesn't even spin the ball. So how exactly are you coming to the conclusion that Kedar chucks? Especially when you have a serial chucker like Junaid in your team?

Why would anyone be scared to call him out if he is chucking?

Some of the balls he bowls look like clear chucking to me but then again I am not an expert, maybe if umpires feel hes chucking he should be tested.

Because of the BCCI and the pressures it may exert. I'm not saying that is definitely the case but considering plenty of people can see something is majorly wrong with his action, I am sure the umpires must be able to.

India international Kedar Jadhav on Monday announced his retirement from all forms of cricket. Which memorable innings or spell do you remember?

He has opted for a style similar to MS Dhoni's announcement of retirement, though

Happy Retirement Kedar Jadhav

Yeah very handy in ODIs with bat

But his bowling action always reminded me of Malinga trying to bowl spin with a more slingy action lol
