The standards of silverware in PSL across editions have truly been top notch. Not just the winning trophies but something like awards for best batsman, bowler, fielder, etc are very impressive too.

PSL is a product. Anthems, trophy unveiling etc are an important part of the packaging and the hype. This increases the overall brand value which will increase the financial value of PSL and its franchises keeps on increasing.

This one won't change now, it's permanent.

From this season, the HBL PSL trophy will be perpetual and each year the winning team will have their name engraved on it.

Compared to last 3 seasons, PSL trophy is more of a degrade and unveiling ceremony is simpler. Najam Sethi used to spend lavishly on PSL while ignoring the rest of the tournaments. Current Pcb has more important avenues to spend but the ceremony and trophy should've been of the standard of PSL which the whole world will be watching. This happened at home for the first time so the expectations were more. If the opening ceremony is'nt at par with previous ones in Dubai, PCB's preparations and arrangement will be criticised.
