another dull draw on the cards. Faisalabad stadium is historically graveyard for bowlers.

another dull draw on the cards. Faisalabad stadium is historically graveyard for bowlers.

It has the worst wicket in Pakistan but the best crowd traditionally. Anyway it might be decent on the first day because of the change in the weather.

Waqas ahmed has decent stats but does anyone know his average pace and how old he is? (he also looks unfit)

No Haris Rauf. Sadaf Hussain looks useless, no swing seam or pace, and he's not even accurate.

Unfotunately, Haris Rauf isnt playing for Northern and Ahmed Bashir isn't playing for Central Punjab

No wonder Sadaf Hussain was never picked for Pakistan. He is fast as ganguly

Sadaf Hussain - lanky and lean but unfit for a professional cricketer. For the kind of pace he has (assuming low to mid 130s), that is a very long run-up. Gets some nice shape though.

Musa Khan is also another young bowler who has potential and is bowling currently

Good over from Musa, went for 15 in the over, but kept at the same line, pulled the length back slightly and
Butt flashed at it again.

And Musa Khan get a wicket. He gets Salman Butt (22 of 41 balls) out (edged to 1st first slip).

Northern - 47/1 after 10.5 Overs

Just spotted Raza Hasan. Is this guy serious about playing for Pakistan? Looks as unfit as a club cricketer uncle.

Rizwan shoud at least be tryed in T20Is, his stats in first class and list A are poor, but he has good t20 stats. Lets hope he can lift his game in all formats.

Hope everyone who bashed the selectors have got their answer now. There is a reason there are professionals doing this job, and not armchair nobodies like us.

Sadaf looks exactly as mediocre as has been said over the years. I don't see him surviving till next season.

another one for Musa, almost went to ground. Keeper dove infront of 1st slip and it popped out but Umar Amin at 2nd slip takes it.

A young fast bowler livening up the game on a slow, low pitch. So good to watch. This game is already better than the one in Lahore last week.

Teams: Balochistan v Southern Punjab
Venue: Bugti Cricket Stadium
Toss: Uncontested. Southern Punjab elect to bowl first.
Break: Drinks
Inning of: Balochistan

Wickets: 0
Overs: 14
Batsmen N.O: Imran Butt 35* Azeem Ghumman 32*

If Musa was 3-4 years older, he would be a regular in the Pak team, but there are so many new fast bowlers coming through in Pak now and the likes of Naseem and Hasnain have an advantage over Musa due to pace and height. Musa will probably be around the squad in the future for Pak but will not be in the first XI.

He looks very talented and skilled, but this is probably the most competitive time for pace bowling in Pakistan in the last decade, Misbah has a good problem in front of him.

Kookaburra and docile wickets will have a massive effect. The likes of Musa, Naseem, Hasnain etc will learn a lot from this experience, and will strive to become even quicker. It's clear as day that raw pace will make a difference on these wickets, rather than trundlers like Sadaf and Waqas.

PCB has finally got something right.

Surprised that there are no ads on the stream, I guess that means that they are not making any money yet from the youtube stream?

Yes, only just above 2000 people watching this game... shame. It looks great! Glad the pitches and the balls have improved from the atrocious standard they were at last season

Just like Australia, you need pace like Starc, Cummins and even Hazlewood bowls mid 140s.

I'm at the Sindh vs KPK game and the first session was as boring as the entirety of the first game.

At least some runs were scored this time.

Musa is on fire. Really making a case for himself. Bowling on a dead track, and still picking up wickets and troubling the batsmen.

My boy musa is bowling very well .
Seems like fast bowler's will succeed in these pitches if they will bend their back and bowl with effort.

Musa and nasim shah battle in this match will be very interesting so far musa have done very well

And the game has become boring again now that Musa is out of the attack and the old trundlers are back.

This season will be about young fast bowlers like Musa, Naseem, Hasnain, Haris, Sameen Gul and Ilyas. These guys actually bend their backs and get something out of the wicket.

Score update:

C.Punjab 143/4 in 39 overs
Azhar 38 and Kamran Akmal 6

Musa Khan.3/30

How does the young opener Omair Bin Yousuf look ?

He looks pretty good actually. Good technique against the fast bowlers and the spinners.

He was a bit nervous in the first session but now looks composed. Middling the ball and hitting the odd boundary.

Would he disappointed if he didnt get to a ton.

Hope Omair Yousaf gets a big one. Looks like a quality player.

one more wicket and they are basically into the tail, we could possibly see Naseem bowling today.

He scored 86

The PCB update says he's not out . Saad Ali was the one who was out for 1 . I'm pretty sure that's wrong.

The overall score is 134/2

Thanks bro for the update. Hopefully saud scores big when he gets a chance this game.

And they bring in their most lethal bowler Sadaf Hussain after tea, significantly increasing a chance of a wicket.

Not a complete list but a quick scan:

1st XI

Good to see Sameen Gul, Naseem Shah, Waqas Ahmed are playing
As are Omair Yousuf, Rizwan Hussain and Imran Butt

A shame these players missed out:
Waleed Ahmed and Hasan Mohsin (S)
Kamran Ghulam and Irfan Khan (KP)
Zeeshan Malik and Haris Rauf (N)
Ahmed Bashir and Usman Saluddin (CP)
Zahid Mehmood and Saif Badar (SP)
Shahzaib Ahmed (B)

Very surprising that legspinners Irfan Khan and Zahid Mehmood were dropped.

2nd XI

Good to see Usama Razzaq, Ashiq Ali and Arshad Iqbal playing this round. Will also be interesting to see how Salman Irshad performs.

Has anyone ever told Sadaf Hussain how useless his technique is. He puts no effort at all, doesn't bemd his back, and walks after he delivers off the side of thep pitch. Looks like a 50 year old uncle bowling on a Sunday morning.

Don't blame him

The system cultivated such bowlers.
