Enough is enough. If Shan does score he would make an ugly 25 off 22 balls. He just does not have the game to accelerate.
Shan is a disaster for our T20 XI. Whether he scores or doesn't, him being in the line up is a massive disadvantage.
Just hope someone has in the team management has the guts to a make a bold move and drop him
Can somebody stop this failed experiment please.
July 2022. Fans asked. Why isn't Shan Masood in the team?
Oct 2022 Why is Shan Masood in the team?
Anybody and i mean literally anybody can score 22 off 20 balls in T20.Shan is not the best player however do we have anyone better right now? at least he is a good fielder and can save runs in the field. That's our best chance to win anyway, bowl opposition to a below par score.

The fact that he was NOT sent at # 3 today resulted in Pak's victory over Bangladesh.
Even the management knows that he has no fire power. Mind boggling that they have him set up for # 3 spot.
I think I like this batting order better.
Haider got unlucky to have a very good ball bowled but the batting order is right.
Baber
Rizwan
Haider
Nawaz
Asif/Shadab
Ifti
Naseem
Rauf
Wasim
Shan Masood
This should be his last-ever T20 innings in a Pakistan jersey. Get Fakhar in ASAP.
Our lineup should be set for the World Cup:
1) Babar
2) Rizwan
3) Fakhar
4) Nawaz
5) Haider
6) Iftikhar
7) Shadab
8) Asif/Wasim/Qadir/Hasnain
9) Rauf
10) Naseem
11) Shaheen
The only question is over the #8 spot. An extra six-hitter? A fourth pacer? And if so, which one? Or do we go with Qadir on the huge Australian grounds?
I am not saying fakhar doesn't have a place in this team but we all saw the kind of walking wicket he was in the previous series. Shan has put runs on the board. Once he feels more confident about his place in the side he will take more risks.Disaster
I would rather a one legged fahkar over him
Been a waste of space that could of been spent on other players of promise
People shouldnt let him his nice personality and good fitness fool them, Shan is the Imran Farhat of this generation

What do you expect from this management, chairman and selector?
They don’t understand T20 cricket at all

I am a big supporter and wanted him to get a good run before the WC. He has had that now and he hasn't come good. He's been coming in at a time when acceleration is needed and he's failed to display a game that fits that role.
He should not make the final 11 but I would still have him in the WC squad though. Easy pick for me over Khushdil/Chacha.
Not for me. If we lose both openers quickly one a day, Shan might come in handy. He wouldn't be asked to score at rates above 8 RPO from the start and I think he can manage that. It's when he comes in later and is required to score quickly , that he struggles badly.I would pick Iftilhar over him any day of the week. Iftikhar has some natural ability. Shan has nothing except hardwork which isn't enough for fast paced t20 format.
Shan earned a recall after his Vitality Blast and National T20 performances, and given our desperation due to lack of middle order options, the selection was understandable.
However Shan clearly has limitations and a top order of three accumulators is asking for trouble. He should be a backup opener at best.

This "hard work" is such a mystery.
He looks like feeble, weak and energy-less. He has no power in hitting. His body looks like a dried stick with no muscle.
He is a horrible fielder who can't catch and/or able to shoot a fast and flat throw to catch the fielder short an inch of his crease.
Never saw him genuinely running super fast after the ball to dive and save a boundary. He has displayed a horrible episode of calling between the wickets yesterday.
What hard work are we taking about? The only thing he seems to be working hard on is the practice of onanism.
If I vaguely remember, he is some close relative of some former PCB high ranked person Subhan Ahmed or whatever, and there was a rumor that he got in, thru his influence. Otherwise, as we can see, he is absolutely nothing special, technically, physically and mentally.
A very poor tri-series:
64 runs in 4 innings, average of 16 and a strike rate of 112.28
In his dreamsReally?
When?
Where?
How?
Are you serious? He doesn't possess any powergame what so ever, he tries so hard but he is not suited for this format.
And I have seen his sixes in PSL also, even with small boundaries they barely go over the rope. He should be kept away from the T20 side.
Ohhh khuda ka waasta! Maaf kar Bhai.
Shans runs are worthless
He is like Asad Shafiq in tests, all his “good” innings in t20s are there to make losses more respectable.
I agree Fahkar has done badly, but at least with him you know he has it in him to score freely and play unselfishly
Ideally we would have tried someone else, but sadly we wasted games on a dud like Shan
People underestimate the value of holding onto one end on this forum. Pakistani batting can fall like domino's if panic sets in regardless of how many people you have who have that have the "ability to bat'. Also, if wickets are falling the people who have the capability to hit will hold back and further detoriate the runrate. Shan Masood is the perfect batsmen to come in when one of Babar Azam or Rizwan gets out early. He gives the stability to the team and allows them to lay a foundation that they can work off.

So Shan Masood "holds onto one end"?
Whatever you've been smoking must be on sale. And while u r at it, shouldn't we recall Misbah for T20? He is the grandmaster of holding onto one end. What do you say?
Shan Masood steadies the batting line up after a quick wicket because he has a better technique than the likes of khushdil and Iftikhar. Unlike Misbah he will try to up the run rate after sometime in the middle and either get out in the process or give the team couple of boundaries. He does try to play positively and I feel sometimes looks fidgety just because he is trying too hard. I feel once he is sure about his place in the team he will further improve.
I also feel sending someone like Nawaz or Shadab right after one of the openers is injustice to their skills and what they can do for the team as they are more suite for middle/lower order than in the 4th or 5th over.
We have given extend runs to people who have consistently failed and we do not have players sitting domestic teams that can replace these players currently.

This is comical - every person in the team is taking a bite out of the same slice of cake! Shan’s birthday present to the team is free Covid for all!
Mr. Zero talent batting at a SR of almost 180 can only mean two things: super flat pitch and buffet bowling.
