Great pic bro. Where did you take it?
Not mine.
A friend and I had to do a feature. He does the photography, I do the leg work.
Still a project that was well appreciated.
His skill has improved over time and now he looks at these and laughs at the mistakes he made in these pictures.
I find them interesting, not just because of the quality of images, but the afterthought and the imagination that we had behind them. Also, if you really look into the eyes of this man selling "gol gappay" or "paani puree" you can see so many dreams - unfulfilled dreams.
^ Mention the place after the pic too. That'll be better.
You seem to have a good knowledge about this. A questio bro, is adding effects by editing looked down upon in photography community like auto-tune is frowned upon in singing?
I faded the corners slightly in my picture above, but now I think I should have kept it raw.
Liberty Market - Lahore (Pakistan)
somewhere around 2010
1. Most photographers (good ones, not just those who happen to have a DSLR), take pictures in raw format and save the original.
2. Almost everyone I know, edits their pictures. Sharpening, color congestion settings and other things are adjusted accordingly.
3. It isn't frowned upon if it is upto a certain level. The authenticity of the picture must remain for it to be considered as a good picture. Digital make-up is acceptable, digital make-over isn't.
Hope this helps.

street cricketer bro, since you liked it, do you think this raw version looks better than the one I posted in the OP?

How do you even better this?![]()
Very nice. What camera/lens do you use?
Photography is a good alternative for people who do not have the ability to be painters.

Yes I have been to all those places and it was fun. Actually, it is a must see for all people who have a chance to go there.
I never felt any kind of danger and it felt absolutely safe.
Knowing Pakistan though, and lately the world, no place is perfectly safe anymore. So I won't say it is safe but I was never threatened or felt insecure even for a single moment.
p.s. The dude in the picture isn't me.
I would love to travel all across Pakistan if I got the opportunity.
In terms of fear, if you would take fear of death as the most extreme on a scale, then I'm probably in the middle because as far as I'm concerned my death is predetermined, so fearing such an event doesn't come into my mind. It's more things like what will I do if I get run over by a reckless driver ?
I figured that it wasn't you because the guy in the picture doesn't look 19 to me.
Impressive. You have a very good philosophy when it comes to dealing with the fear of death.
That said, Gilgit Baltistan, Hunza, Naran, Kaghan, Siri Paaye (yes its a place), Skardu, Chilas, Chitral etc. are wonderful places and if you ever get time, you should visit them.
I mean I am not going to say that they are the best but they have this rustic touch - exceptional natural beauty and very ordinary facilities making one feel as if one is traveling through time while being there.
Garuda bhai check pics now, working??
Thanks.
Out of the places you've mentioned, I haven't heard of Siri Paaye and Chilas but the rest are on my bucket list (to steal a phrase from Nostalgic) of places to visit.
Where did you stay because I don't imagine all places have hotels and restaurants ?

Most of the places have some sort of places to live.
In Fairy Meadows, there are places where you can camp.
TDCP has some okay places to spend a few nights. There are some private ones as well. Personally speaking, we mostly camp because that way we are in control.
Also, I don't like how many people are destroying the local environment to make their hotels and guest houses run. If you go there and we are still on PP, do post your pictures mate.
Dear me, these are purely professional photography bro, you are good. Would like to see some more from you. Well dome
