[PICTURES] Vaibhav Suryavanshi: The youngest cricketer ever to be chosen to play in the IPL

Kids these days think they hit a few shots and then can start doing galam galuch like Kohli. With his attitude issues he will not end up going very far despite the talent.

Kids in north belt abuse in school it’s very common. We did it too, felt it was cool.
At the end of the day he’s still a kid, hopefully he gets good mentorship and grows as a person and cricketer with age.

Pakistani fans, the proud fans of an all-time incompetent team, are stuck at Vaibhav's age. More they talk about it, more they sound like losers, jealous and frustrated. Keep it up while the young kid keeps plundering centuries :)

Nobody is disrespecting the talent. Chill

Everybody is just questioning the age, which you all know as well deep inside, but just wanna protect and nurture age fudging lies.

Vaibhav smashing bowlers in bowling friendly conditions. My god , he us a freak. He is the next big thing for cricket for sure. :kp

Rashid khan of india

Neither Rashid nor vaibhav is as big a fraud as Naseem shah. You guys hyped him as the next teenage sensation like never before

And you know the funny thing? Both Rashid and vaibhav have actually performance even without their age, your Naseem averages 35 in tests and t20s.

Whats the point of fudging age and hyping someone when they end up averaging 35+?

The sore haters of Suryavanshi doing what they do best.

Always a pleasure to see them cry whenever this kid scores big runs. He is old, he is fat, he is a hack, he is a tulla, he did not play proper bowling yet…… :dw 😭

Vaibhav needs to judge the length of balls better and then hit - he tries to hit EVERY single ball and sooner than we realize teams will figure what length he typically loses his wicket on. If he gets a little more careful on the lengths he attacks, a more consistent Vaibhav will be so much more dangerous.

It will be interesting to see how he progresses as international teams always watch for weaknesses.

I just wish Vaibhav didn't play IPL for next 2-3 years but concentrated on red ball cricket & the domestic grind....
So much to learn there.
Hope he remains grounded & does not loose his headvto the IPL riches & advts &;other stuff...hope his priority is to excel in test cricket...the pinnacle of cricket

He is not like others. He bats this way in all formats. Check his Test match in Australia.

He is finally 15, and even if someone is commenting on his age, look at him, even visually doesn’t look a day older than 17 max. So even if we take that into account, I have never seen a more beastly hitter at that age than him.

child prodigies who came before him were mostly all timers of the ball, this guy smashes the hell out of it. People will tune into just watch him, that kinda elite talent.

Yeah...but my point more is, his priority list. I hope test is at the very top.
Regarding batting same way in tests, what if he is on a green top is headingley- over cast conditions or like hamilton, NZ or Capetown, kingston etc?
My point is more if he gets more exposure in longer format first....he can always join any T20 league anytime in future....
I feel a spell in county cricket will also stand him in good stead...

Tinkering with his batting will be the worst thing to do. He should figure out on his own without losing his aggressive intent. He might occasionally get out soon. Sehwag wasn't exactly successful across the world. We still carried him. Because he was an X-factor.

The word gifted you can confidently use. At this age, without much proper training, playing like this is pure talent. Yuvraj had similar vibe. But he was 18 at that time.
He has had plenty of training. If anything, he overtrains.

But plenty of people train like machines in their childhood but he is really special.

Physically imposing and incredibly gifted with timing. What a combo.

Well, that also is right.

i dont think also guys like Sachin relied too much on coach , yes they did work hard and they trained hard end of the day they were prepared to listen and adjust also. For eg Sachin adapted his game to each format very well and did not play in only one gear/style. Hope for the sake of indian cricket, he lives up to the expectations...

Maybe you weren't around in the 90s, but even Indian fans used to question the ages of several young Pakistani cricketers like Afridi, Saqlain, and Hasan Raza. Was that due to jealousy too? :inti

I am not fully convinced by his technique. It looks good for T20, but I am not sure how he will perform in other formats if given a chance in the future. He is still a teenager and can adapt his technique according to the format. Let’s see how he develops.

He is well on his way to becoming India's Inzamam-ul-Haq. :inzi :inti

He's a special special talent and must be managed properly otherwise there is high risk he could become a burnt out alcoholic too.

Already he has defied cricketing laws with some of his innings at a tender age, and also defied law of nature by aging only 1 year in 3 years.

The key to ending the losing streak against India for Pakistan is finding a solution against their new generation of batting strikers like Abhishek, Krishan, Vaidhav, Dube etc

C’mon bro, he looks and sounds like a kid. A few months here and there maybe but does this really look as blatant as Afridi and some of the Pak and Afghan cricketers? 👇

Nahh..No one can beat Rashid Khan and Afridi, they are on another level. Afridi is a dumb, he himself has fudged his age many times :ROFLMAO:
I believe Suryavanshi is near 17.

In other words u r saying he was 14 in 2023 & turned 15 on 27 march 2026, right ?😃

i dont think any 15 year old kid comign through system cares too much about other formats aprt from T20

Read some posts above on not changing his technique - yeah that’s fine but some coaches - mental conditioning or the regular head coach must talk to him about temperament. He shouldn’t be hitting out at every single ball regardless of length - teams will find that out and feed him that difficult length. A consistent Suryavanshi will be such a huge plus for his team.

Its really threatening for other teams that India has a great t20 batting power house, and they have this kid who is yet to make an appearance. He is not even on the bench, so just shows what India has got lined up

Vaibhav and Abhishek opening for India with Kishan at number 3. Already getting nightmares, 200 runs in 8 overs is a strong possibility. Please don't play Shaheen and Rauf against this duo.

It is a pleasing prospect ... if all 3 fire , 150 in 10-11 overs is a certainity .

Dangerous batter. INdia has a strong backup already there who will make it in any playing 11... easy
