Have seen many an aggressive batters but nothing as outlandish as Vaibhav Sooryavanshi. Some of the shots he plays are absolutely ridiculous, and on deliveries that have no business going over the ropes. Insanely talented. A freak

Vaibhav Suryavanshi has the potential to break Chris Gayle’s 175* in T20s and Rohit Sharma’s 264 in ODIs.

Unreal talent at this age...The future looks big for him

Someone this progidiously talented should be given a shot at international. No point treating him with kid gloves. Hhe is a step ahead of his peers at this level and will not gain much by continuing to play. Should be treated as a senior player in IPL this season and handed an international debut asap.

Perhaps not quite yet. Maybe hone his skills a bit more. He will do that this IPL season. Also needs to get himself toned and fit. Perhaps by end of the year, or early next year. He should be ready.

I am sure BCCI will handle him well.

He has smashed a century in IPL already.

I somewhat agree. Not much left to hone. But there is a bit left hone. On and off the field. Perhaps more off the field. On how to approach his batting, mental toughness, reading match situations etc.

He will be with the big boys. Ain't going to be easy. Big boys are big boys, they will work him over.

That's a good point. The mental toughness factor. He will not be a big fish in a small pond, but a small fish with a lot of extra attention. You are right it will require some management.

I think he will get a chance after the World T20, we will play a T20 series against Afghanistan (3T20 in September) , where he can get a chance to debut.

As I said, he is too talented to play under 19 level cricket.

175(80) in the finals of an under 19 world cup. The greatest innings in history of under 19 wc.

All those posters who were mocking him do not understand cricket.

He is uninterested in these under 19 games, let alone under 19 he would thrash Pakistans main bowling lineup.

I asked Claude to analyse the picture and it said kid is around 12-15 years old. CHat Gpt say around 12-14.

Not totally accurate but unbiased at least.

yes true. but if he is age fudged and 20 then it makes the case for his inclusion even stronger. Indians don't have to admit it but if there is suspcion then just bring him into international quicker rather than taking more time to develop him under the assumption he is 14-15

Anyone who doubts he is not a teenager needs to have his eyes & comprehension abilities medically examined .
His knock of 175 in a WC final out of which 150 were 6's & 4's showcases what a generational talent he is .
Prospect of his opening with Sharma in white ball cricket will be a nightmare for teams in years to come .
 
I have been following age group cricket for a long time . Never seen anyone who was this brutal across the formats. Even Gayle Jayausirya used to be less aggressive in tests. Only sehwag played the same way in al formats. But he was more a 4 hitter not 6 hitter.

His whole life is documented in social media, yet people will continue to cry. 14 or 16, he can still walk into most international sides with ease, as a kid.

Except Afridi's age was 21 during the match and it even displayed. Where as we have various images of Suryavanshi for the last 4 or 5 years lol .

BCCI conducted bone density, His father also provided proof. There are various images of him being a tiny little kid 4 years back. lol You are suddenly going by his word. It is not even sure if he speaks there
 
If this guy is 12 in this picture :) Vaibhav should be 8.

He should play pretty soon. Don't see any reason for keeping him away from international cricket.

This scam light fire etc been shining for more than 18 years it seems....
 
He is certainly not 14-15 but more like 18-19 but still he was qualified to play age cricket and the shots he plays at even 17-19 years age are outrageous.

He is serious talent and will be a superstar provided he works hard and he has attitude issues though.
He failed against Pakistan in every match though they were able to keep him quiet.
