Better to make Sanju or Hardik as skipper or even Bumrah. Axar is our clutch player in knockouts, no need to put additional captaincy burden on him in T20Is.

Domestics will suck away his natural style. Some players are better evolving in international cricket. He is already too good for domestics (white ball). He is not going to play tests any time soon so he can play red ball domestics. I hope he gets a county contract as well for red ball.

Bumrah and pandya cant be captains due to their work load. Samson/axar/ishan have the best chance .Axar has got quite a good will among the players as per reports .

He is a fantastic talent. But his style is too punchy atm to succeed in Tests. But Indian cricket system is pretty good at nurturing batters.

He is like Sehwag. He plays red ball cricket exactly the same way. Just that he defends few more extra balls. Otherwise mindset is the same in red ball.

If this kid was Pakistani he would have played 5 tests, 20 Odis and 40 t20is by now.
