[PICTURES/VIDEO] India cricket board clears 5 players for bubble breach allegations [Post#214]

INDIAN PLAYERS ARE STILL MOSTLY VEGETARIAN HAHAHAH.

AND YET WE STILL COMPETE WITH THE BEST IN THE BUSINESS. PROUD OF THESE BOYS. JUST IMAGINE IF THEY ACTUALLY EAT MEAT. MAJORITY OF THEM I MEAN

Ahead of India’s tour to Australia, the BCCI has sent an advance party to the country to prep the hosts about the series.

As per reports in Mumbai Mirror, the team had asked for the inclusion of a clause in the Memorandum of Understanding between BCCI and Cricket Australia regarding the removal of beef from the menu.

This request comes after the team Twitter handle posted the lunch menu during the England tour, a list which had braised beef pasta.

“A well-earned lunch for #TeamIndia,” the tweet mentioned during the Lord’s Test. This tweet received a lot of flak back home, owing to which the cricket board has decided to play it safe down under.

The aforementioned inspection team has also asked Cricket Australia to arrange smooth travel, practice and an ‘Indianised’ dietary arrangement for the players. The team also requested to provide Kohli and boys more vegetarian items on the menu and enough supply of fruits.

“Players often complain about the blandness of food served in Australia. There are a few vegetarians in the team who really struggle at the grounds. The inspection team has also roped in an Indian restaurant in Australia to supply curries to the boys,” a source was as quoted by Mumbai Mirror.

India play three T20Is, four Tests, and three ODIs in Australia from November 21 to January 18.

Rohit Sharma might be a great LOI batsman but man isn’t he a bad influence on Pant, Shaw for fitness.. those two should had not been eating outside... and are those meals even healthy??

Maybe this is why we need a Kohli like
dictator to control these players wrt fitness

Yet they still perform good. Just imagine if they actually focused on diet and nutrition seriously. Would be unstoppable.

Lol. Stir fried beef ain't too bad though. Home made is healthy. I don't know about the thai food they ate though.

Dumpling sounds oily. So...no
Sausage lol. Wow unbelievable. Professional players.

Desi players are real good if they can still perform so well on this terrible diet.

BCCI better have a good explanation for this.

And Patheticc , also the bill had beef? Man they are going to be grilled when they get back lol.

I thought beef was sacred to Hindus?

Just because they are in Australia does it mean that it's ok to eat it.

What if they are not that religious? And there are millions of Hindus who eat beef in India just like many Muslims who drink and eat pork.

Not to all Hindus. Many Hindus eat beef, not an issue unless there are elections around. This day and age, more than religion, it's the nutritional value that matters.

Single pasli bhakhts are quick to beat innocent muslims who carry or eat beef in India. Let's see how will they react now when they come to know about this. :inti

Lot of Hindus eat beef.. Kerala beef roast is specialty, even in Punjab, TN its available as buffalo..

I thought BCCI is one of best professional board lol.this is pathetic from players & Board .where was security officer of team when they were planning for dinner ??

What if they are not that religious? And there are millions of Hindus who eat beef in India just like many Muslims who drink and eat pork.

But then why attack Muslims in India for eating beef if that is the case?

I feel like you are trolling Saj.. the strong prey on the weak due to right wing politics..

I am asking a serious question.

You said lots of Hindus eat beef (as these cricketers have shown whilst in Australia), I am asking why attack Muslims for eating beef then.

The right wing attacks Hindus for eating beef too.. Dalits are Hindus as well..

Thousands if not millions of muslims have been attacked in india for eating beef, i think Saj is asking for consistency, nothing wrong with the question.

Hmmm now this is a big issue. Hope BCCI finds out who is the culprit and ban him immidiately. Eating beef is a big no no in sanatan dharma. I refuse to support Indian in next test until we find the culprit

It's their choice whether they want to eat beef or pork. Why should BCCI be concerned about that?

Maybe the Muslim players consumed Beef and not the Hindu players. All went to eat together , right ?

Because truth be told there are unchained bigots in out country and government has not done enough to reprimand them, as such the infectious attitude have caught up with other individuals who can be easily influenced to believe that eating beef is an immoral issue and create that mob mentality against innocent common Muslims for eating beef. There is no justification to be honest.

Which of these is Muslim?

Rohit Sharma, Rishabh Pant, Shubman Gill, Navdeep Saini and Prithvi Shaw.

But then why attack Muslims in India for eating beef if that is the case?

Cattle slaughter is banned in some states in India as per law. People can still go to restaurants and eat beef in those states. But openly cutting up a cow is not permitted. So when the goons find someone is stealing cattle, they beat them up thinking they are smuggling it to eat it up. Govt or law do not subscribe to these goons neither permit them to attack someone for eating cow meat.

I was just joking man forseeing the direction this conversation would go. Why would I object to what they eat? Lol. As long as they win me the Sydney test they can go for beef diet for a week for all I care.

Well the beef issue has really flared up in India by the looks of social media. Players under discussion facing some heat.

Being a loyal bhakht and rakshak of hindu sanskriti you should object and beat them with your other vaanar sena members. This is what your BJP leaders have taught for all these years. Don't be a hypocrite now. :inti

Hindu sanksriti is never about beating someone or chopping someone's head off just because they it hurt their religious sentiments. Our sanatana dharma is all about karma, dharma and moksha. Being an Indian...I thought you would know this. Anyway, pretty sure religion based discussion will be deleted in cricket section. Open a thread about hindusim in Time Pass and would happy to indulge.

Good job they weren't in New Zealand, the Ministry of Health would have strung them up and thrown them in jail by now.

Media indirectly saying Rohit thrown a party after became a vc.
Social media blaming him for misguiding youngsters.
Lol.

Some precedence:

https://www.indiatvnews.com/sports/...sanctioned-ca-covid-19-protocol-breach-671506

Brisbane Heat duo Chris Lynn and Dan Lawrence have been sanctioned by Cricket Australia for breaching Covid-19 protocols put in place for the ongoing Big Bash League (BBL).

Heat captain Lynn apologised for his and English import Lawrence's transgressions on Saturday that sparked a CA investigation and forced them to physically distance from teammates during Monday's BBL game against the Sydney Thunder -- a match which Heat lost by four wickets at Canberra's Manuka Oval, according to cricket.com.au.

It is believed that both players and members of the public came in close contact and a selfie of the incident later emerged on social media which prompted CA's investigation.

Brisbane Heat has been fined $50,000, with $20,000 suspended for the remainder of the BBL season for a breach of sections 1, 3, 4 and 9 of the Covid-19 Directive for State Associations and W/BBL Teams, CA said in a statement on Tuesday.

Both Lynn and Lawrence were charged for four breaches of CA's code of conduct. The players have accepted a $10,000 fine, with $4,000 suspended for the remainder of the BBL 10 season.

CA's head of security Sean Carroll said that although the Heat pair's actions were "medically … lower risk", they could still have compromised the BBL bubble designed to avoid Covid-19 infections.

"While Australia's current Covid-19 infection rate remains low, we must ensure that appropriate measures are taken to reduce the possibility of any player, staff member or official being connected to a declared hot spot. State/territory governments enforced isolation and restrictions for crossing borders for declared hot spots may impact the individuals involved, the team and potentially jeopardise the BBL season.

"Medically, this particular breach was lower risk, but actions of this kind have the potential to compromise the integrity of and confidence in our bio-security protocols. We'd like to thank Queensland Cricket, the Brisbane Heat, the ACA and both players for their cooperation throughout this investigation," he added.

LOL - A double whammy. Not only are they being hounded for allegedly breaking social distancing rules, but now they’re being abused on SM for eating beef.

Lol. Rohit Sharma and Pant have a Biryani paunch. Shaw is already in 'good book' of Kohli for his fitness or rather lack of it.

Yeah I was wondering if it was only Pakistanis who are so unintelligent when it comes to dietary plans. But it seems like the IPL millionaires who can only be elite sportsmen know what to take in and what not

Rohit Sharma, Rishabh Pant, Shubman Gill, Navdeep Saini and Prithvi Shaw, luckily none where Muslims so expecting this issue to die down quickly since no political angle can be introduced here since no Muslims were involved in that dinner containing beef on the bill

Had there been a Muslim I am quite sure BCCI would have been forced to take action due to current Political party in power in India whose major politics revolve around religion

A part of me thinks that the fan knew what he was upto.

Of course he knew. He was trying to milk this to garner some followers on IG and Twitter. Firstly, he filmed others without their consent(breach of privacy) and then he paid their bill(which restaurant should never allowed third person to access bill without prior consent) and then he posted everything on social media. Now, he is realizing that he went against his own country (with all the hate he is getting on SM) by his idiotic behaviour. In the end, he kinda screwed everything

All the 5 players - Rohit, Shaw, Gill, Saini and Pant being send in isolation.

I don't know the details but it looks bad on Rohit now, he is the senior most in that group and he should have known better than stepping out of the hotel.

They were already in isolation? They could only train with each other. So basically Saini has to provide the other 4 batsmen with batting practice.

I don't care about others except Gill.
Hope everything will be fine.

It is a wrong thing to do - beating/hurting/penalising people for what they eat. Period. There is no justification for that. Any country (not just India) that allows this is in wrong.

Unfortunately, our present government has legitimised this violence. They do it for politics. They want to get a stronghold of a constituency (Hindus) and the most effective motivator is always fear (fear of the other, which means Muslims). It is a losing game for the Indians as the other side of the political spectrum (the opposition) is deeply corrupt and equally malicious. We are stuck between rock and hard place and the common people who take sides are falling for the machinations of these politicians.

I always felt that if you can eat chicken, why can't you eat any other animal? Chicken, mutton, lamb, beef, pork, duck, anything should be ok (as long as they are not endangered species, maybe). Anyway, people should be able to eat whatever they want and I hope the future political leaders understand this choice.

What if they are not that religious? And there are millions of Hindus who eat beef in India just like many Muslims who drink and eat pork.

Then why don't they speak up when people from other religions are lynched to death because of carrying or eating beef ?

The investigation by the BCCI will conclude that the players should've gone to McDonalds instead! :)))

This may be even worse than Pakistani players mingling with each other. I expected more from Indian players but I suppose paindos will always remain paindos.

Idiots all around, especially the fan (why would anyone pay for the meal of millionaires).

Eating beef isn't forbidden by law, but slaughtering of cows is forbidden by law in most Indian states.

Many Muslims eat pork or drink alcohol, but most Muslim countries dont allow its sale.

As cow slaughtering is banned in most states, what happens is that cows are illegally smuggled and slaughtered. Many of them stolen from their owners.Cow smuggling is a big racket in India.

Hindus even who eat beef wont do it openly, it would probably invite social boycott.

So it seems your cricketers could be in trouble over this, both for flouting covid rules and/or for eating beef 'openly'

Shocking management and captaincy
Expected better from Rohit sharma who is meant to be the poster boy now virat has flown home

A bit more on the issue:

“It is being ascertained in Australia whether the players had obtained permission, so let’s wait for a day till the primary investigation is over. Every member of both the squads is required to clear two more COVID-19 tests before the next Test anyway, so it would be premature to say right now that these cricketers are in danger of missing out on the Test,” the source said.

If there is no doubt that the players obtained permission, then why is there an investigation going on?

Also, it is reported that the players also took a picture with this fan. So that might be a clear break of covid Protocol

Good point that also what is the exact restriction on Indian players?

“Many Muslims eat pork”🤨 I’m a Muslim and I’ve probably been around more Muslims than you and I’ve yet to see one eat pork🤨 drinking sure but pork?

You'll find that the BCCi will try to play this issue down, say the players had permission, did nothing wrong etc etc.

Whereas Cricket Australia want a thorough investigation.

I have seen Pakistani cricketers eating hamburgers in front of my own eyes.

The ground was Chester-le-Street - it was a Pakistan tour match against Durham. 2 players, one a pace bowler and the other who is now a coach at domestic level.

Hamburgers are made from beef. They're called Hamburgers, as the burgers originated from Hamburg, Germany.

Lol at the beef thing. Its catching up on twitter. What a joke..
Meanwhile Pant and Shaw just cant seem to catch a break. Mayhem follows these two.

The Aussies have basically turned up the heat by tweeting this. They want these 5 players (4 likely starters) out.

Unfortunately for them, Bumrah and Ashwin did not go out with Sharma

It seems that certain posters, who are Indian supporters residing in Australia, don’t understand that the players are subject to ADDITIONAL rules as we well as those applying to everyone else in Australia.

1. Each person in Australia is subject to local STATE rules regarding Covid, e.g. capacity rules for indoor dining, social distancing, mask mandates etc. These rules change constantly according to where the current outbreaks are.

2. Many state borders are closed to the general public. The public cannot for example travel from Sydney to Brisbane - as both teams have to for the final Test - or from Sydney to Melbourne.

3. Cricket Australia (which generally is intimidated by the BCCI’s economic power) has had to make several commitments to the state governments (which are neither interested in nor impressed by the BCCI’s power) in order to get the schedule to happen. The key issue here is adherence to a Biosecure Bubble in order to get an exemption to travel from Sydney to Brisbane for the Fourth Test.

All these rules are constantly changing, because whereas NZ has a policy of Covid Elimination (which is supported by the Labor governments of Queensland, Victoria and WA), the right-wing governments of Australia and NSW refuse to sign up to anything more than a Covid Suppression policy.

Suppression involves constant outbreaks requiring constantly changing mini-lockdowns and internal border closures, and that is why the rules are constantly changing and why the schedule is so hard to confirm.
