[PICTURES/VIDEOS] Is Imran Khan Stadium (Formerly known as Arbab Niaz Stadium) ready to host PSL matches?

I don't believe these reports are true. A construction of stadium is build with a team of experts. They assess and know these things before they build.
Sir this is pakistan. There are no experts here. There is cheap labor that evryone opts for to save cost.

If experts were designing or making this stadium, you really think they would had added pillars to a sports stadium? Look at the roofing and the stands. There is no symmetry.

Just by one look you can tell there were no experts, this stadium was made by some desi thekaydar.

This is just an example of incompetent governance in KPK. They cannot do anything right.

I have noticed that alot of the cricket fans here try to ignore the design of this stadium.

It has to be the most ugly stadium ever. Like they tried to copy dubai stadium and made this.

This is just next level height of incompetence, the design is shockingly bad. Probably is the second worst looking cricket stadium, straight up after the Delhi Arun Jaitley stadium

You're seriously saying there is no architect engineer in Pakistan?

Now you know more than an engineer in Pakistan?

Well credit for this stadium goes to pti govt i would say.

They were trying to copy the dubai stadium and ended up making this. It does represent the pti govt lol...

I still cant stop laughing at the pillars. And they are marketing this stadium as Pakistans only 2 tier stadium lol
Need to be honest with criticism. If it is PTI govt responsible for this mess then they should be criticised. However there are also professional designers, architects and engineers involved.

I actually full believe it after looking at the state of the stadium. It looks pathetic.
Looks doesn't indicate what it's structural integrity is. If PCB genuinely had issues with the structure they would force the closure of the stadium not allow matches to be played..if journalists had reports from the PCB doubting the stadium then those PCB officials and Journalist would get convicted of a crime.

There are, but the question is were they hired.

Like i said, our construction industry is such that even a lowkey contractor can win the tender if he gives a good bribe.

The fact that there are pillars in a sporting stadium is a give away professionals were not hired.

It doesnt take a rocket scientist to know that a sporting stadium shouldnt be having pillars blocking the view from front

PTI govt is probably the most corrupt govt on par with PPP. Both are incompetent and extremely corrupt. If you look at the BRT disaster in Peshawar, you would know that these guys are simply incapable of executing anything properly. Under pti govt even federal projects or punjab projects like rawalpindi ring road or islamabad expressway extension from DHA to Gulberg Greens was mired with corruption with contracts awarded to formerly black listed company (MACSONS).

PTI has a well recorded history of awarding contracts to black listed companies during their federal govt so what you have said is very plausible. Im actually going to research on this horrible stadium and see who they gave tender to.

You know nothing about construction. Better stick to cricket

The Stadium was 90% full with fans in the upper second story stands. No issues, I think we can conclude that the stadium is ready to host cricket.

Knowing the PCB, they will politize hosting cricket in the stadium making other excuses that the stadium infrastructure is not up to standards to accommodate foreign broadcasting technology. The same excuse was used to deny international cricket in Faislabad

No hosting in peshawar for the next 10 years. Its still a security issue, plus the location of this stadiums gates being next to the road will make it a hazard

It can be criticized by everyone. But you need to have a certain level of knowledge about the subject because you can do so.

You mentioned PTI here. Why? I didn't mentioned PTI
So i need a certain level of knowledge to mention that you dont add a pillars infront of the view of the spectators?

This is a stadium we are talking about, not a shopping plaza.

I get it, pti govt made this, so its a holier stadium, and critsizing it means we need to pass a criteria lol.

Cultism ider bhi
