Skill wise I rate Noman Ali the highest. Sajid Khan also brings that additional energy and can really turn the ball. Abrar is young, up and coming.

If I'm looking for control from a spinner as well. I am playing Noman cause I know even if conditions don't assist him. He can at least hold one end and be economical.

But it's really a tough one. I guess I will choose one of Sajid and Noman given they both can bat a bit as well. Abrar is definitely for the future but on current form and requirement. Sajid and Noman edge him.

So Noman on these designer tracks gets compared with Jadeja on Australian pitches which was deliberately prepared to be pace friendly. lol I am talking about similar conditions. India has probably the best left arm spin factory in the world. Out of top 10 wicket takers in Ranji trophy about 7 or 8 are left arm spinners. All highly potent.

They are GOATs. you don't ahve to certify them. India never needed spinner as India gets pacy pitches. Still Ashwin was one of the reason why India won MCG test, India takes 20 wickets with pace bowling. That is all that matters. How they distribute the wickets is not the issue here. What did Noman Ali do in Bangladesh?

Jadeja is a much better bowler than Noman . Yes, Jadeja has not ran through any batting side in SENA but has been decent and I'm sure Noman would have performed worst. Noman was even considered to be in playing 11 in SENA. Its just these kind of low class rank turned we are preparing which made Noman look a " great" bowler . Where was he and what was his performance even in Pakistan until he turned 35-36 ?

On this pitch Varun Chakrvarthy will be deadly. lol Imagine the guys like Sai Kishore, Ajith Ram, Dharmendra jadeja, Karthikeya, Sams Mulani, Saurabh, Jalas Saxena. One of the reason Axar is not rated very much because on good batting tracks he didn't do well. His bowling average is still 19.34 in 14 tests. He is probably 10th best left arm spinner in India. Ashwin/Jadeja are special.Age caught up with them as they played different formats unlike Noman uncle who plays only one format.

Blah blah. Glen Phillips has the same amount of 5fers as those so called GOATS. You can come up with any excuse under the sun but it will never justify 1 5fers between them.

Waqar younis has 0 fifer in Australia. Agarkar has one. What sort of nonsense is this. We don't depend on spinners to run through sides. So basically Bumrah, Shami, Ishant have to refrain from taking wickets so that Ashwin, Jadeja can take wickets. Sorry dude. They are not wqar younis to give that opportunity to Musthsq.
 
The only way papa can shut the mouth of haters is by taking wickets overseas. Such a shame that he wasnt picked against SA.

No. We are comparing Uncle Naumi with Jadeja on the dust bowls in India. On normal wickets neither is any better than average

Nobody rates him because of that. We know where he took wickets. Anyone that toured actually India can tell not all the pitches are dust bowls. This is not even dust bowl. These are all designer tracks created using power appliances.

I am sure West Indian bowlers won't hype Warrican. Because they know these wickets are not hypeworthy.

29 tests 80 wickets at 33. More than enough to complement for 4 pronged pacer. He was ahead of Ashwin and Kuldeep mainly because he was a better batsman. India rarely use spinner outside. So it didn't matter. India just wanted his batting.

7 tests 24 wickets 37.54 avge. 74.6 strike rate What would you call that? Bang bang average?

He too is bang average on flat wickets but our flat wickets are flatter than other countries flat wickets. Both Jadeja and Ashwin are solid spinners( Ashwin was a little better) but on flat wickets they were bang average.
 
He is definitely well over 40. No way he is 38. At this age suddenly he has become derek underwood in the last 3 tests against 2 of the weakest side against spin. People suddenly compare him with those who achieved a lot already

Not really lol Every bowler from England, Bangladesh outbowled your bowling even on those tracks. What pakistan does is bringing down the pitch quality so much that the difference in bowling quality is eliminated. Good bowler won't have such a stark difference. He struggled in Bangladesh as well. What is his record in other countries other than SENA? Did he achieve anything in West indies? or any other place? I don't see nothing great.

I don't say it just for the sake. Yasir shah is probably the last quality spinner pakistan produced.

They did but their pacers got wickets. Our pacers have fallen off the radar, so the opposition batters were in when the spinners came on. As I said if Uncle bowled on the Ind dust bowls his record would be similar to Jadeja

No we don't use industrial fans. we don't use heaters, greenhouse. Last time West Indies toured India, highest wicket taker was Umesh Yadav. We don't start with spinner and give 7 overs to pacers in 6 innings. It has never happened.

Since 2020s spinners in Pakistan. Other spinners have better record in Pakistan than Pakistan spinners. So in order for Pak spinners to reach the level of other spinners they had to create these designer tracks. A famous tactic used by Bangladesh at mirpur. That is how they beat Australia and England there. I don't question the reason why you create these pitches. You have the right to enjoy home advantage. Perfectly legit. But that is not what we are talking about here. This is about how you rate these performances. Given how Warrican and Motie looked unplayable despite warrican bowling rubbish one has to take these performances with a pinch of salt. It helps you win. Fair enough. But it is debatable to make extraordinary claim like this guy would have touched Muralitharan tally had he played in X, Y grounds. You could make the same argument fo rWarrican as well then.

As I said its due to our pacers not creating any pressure. You can tell me anything you want but Jadeja is bang average and Uncle Naumi would have been just as successful as him or Glenn Phillips and Mitch Santner.

You are once extrapolating like Jadeja all his life played on those tracks. That was not the case. Rohit got desperate after the green track backfired at Bengaluru. Pretty much everyone talked about it. These kind of pitches bring average spinners into equation which was true. The pitches against NZ we played are not the norm. And also you have to consider how India has 3 walking wickets in current form. That is why guys like Philips got among wickets. A normal inform Indian side would have butchered him.

Can't believe are comparing an average spinner ( Noman ) , with 72 international wickets , who got some success at later stage of his career on some very poor wickets and has been useless through out his almost 20 years of FC career and still not good enough to be considered for any overseas test , with a bowler ( Jadeja ) with more than 700 international wickets .

Hype machine on this forum is hyperactive.
 
Noman Ali will only be good on these kind of rank turners and will find it difficult in SENA. Same is the case with almost all Pakistani bowlers.

Best spinner in the world. Had he played on those indian dustbowls he would have picked up more than 300 wickets.

I m glad Pakistan is copying india in making these pitches he has already picked up 36 wickets in 8 innings.

He is better than darter jadeja who doesn't even turn the ball he let those terrible pitches do the work.

na, jadeja is a good bowler. Guy was the reason why India won Champions trophy 2013.

We also saw Lyon in the same series looking as awful as anyone. The pitches play a big part, Jadeja has a good overall bowling record in Aus and Sa.

Noman Ali (Pakistan) has been nominated for the ICC Men’s Player of the Month, with the nominees for January 2025 announced

Noman Ali continued his outstanding form for Pakistan, serving as their main strike bowler against the West Indies.

In the first Test, he claimed six wickets, conceding 81 runs. However, it was in the second Test that he truly showcased his skill.

Noman took six wickets in the first innings of the second Test, which included a historic hat-trick, making him the first Pakistani spinner to achieve a Test hat-trick.

He followed it up with another impressive performance, taking four wickets in the second innings to finish with match figures of 10/121.

In total, Noman took 16 wickets at an average of 12.62 and scored 15 runs in January.
