[PICTURES/VIDEOS] Pakistan cricket cake celebrations thread

Local bakery will go bust tonight… I suppose they can cut a little muffin they did take 3 wckts & balled a few dot balls.
Looks like there won’t be a cake party tonight after the brutal loss against the arch rivals. Ahmedabad Bakery will be freezing the leftovers for tomorrow.

By the way, Babar’s birthday is tomorrow. Any cake party tomorrow? I think, yes, but it’s gonna be under a strict no-photo no-video policy.

Mashallah, happy to see the boys in green in good spirits!
Many of those boys in green should actually be in whites playing the QEA Trophy.

Nations that are corrupt and nepotistic do not get glad tidings and blessings.

Cakes and celebrations are all fine. The social media guy who posts this is the problem. Fans are in no mood to see celebrations after the consistent ass whoopings we have been getting.

Cake celebrations continue in Pakistan team as Agha Salman celebrated his 30th birthday today with teammates.

Do they not have any shame?

This in a nutshell is what’s wrong with our team. No professionalism at all.

These cake stuffs are quite feminine.

I think they should celebrate in different manners than cutting cakes.

That’s the problem, Pakistan’s younger generation are too feminine.

Grown men cutting cakes

Posing for the gram

Posting love quotes on SM

Hugging the opposition regardless of the match scenario.

What’s a Halal, masculine celebration?

I didn't say it was haram. I said it was feminine. Cutting cakes is something I would expect from a women's team. Australian women's team celebrate with a song, for example.

I don't think any celebration is necessary. Just some encouraging words should be enough.

Firing guns in the air eating a steak
Man this was genuinely funny lol ! I don't mind cake cutting but I just feel cringey if I had to do it.. don't know I think I was 14 maybe last when I cut a cake for my birthday. Just felt cringey after that .. I let the kids cut it if they want to get one.. but as an adult nope can't do it! No judgements though either way. Whatever rocks the players boats

If Pakistani players have made a tradition of cake then so be it. Let them celebrate with cake cutting.

I recall they were celebrating with cake in Aus when team was losing 0-3. I think it was some one making 50 or 100. Nothing wrong with that, but I will keep those celebrations private. It hardly looks good to see celebration picture when team is getting thrashed left and right. Not sure who is releasing those picture.

It was after Asad Shafiq's match losing hundred. Cake cutting is a remnant of the Misbah era. He brought in this rule where all 5fers and hundreds would be rewarded with cake.

Correct, I don't recall such pictures coming out of Pakistan's camp earlier.

Anyway, I have no issue if team wants cake, but timing of releasing these pictures should be appropriate. Any random person is not taking and releasing them, it has to be team management or insiders. Release them when teams has won and not when team lost.

Happy Birthday!

Imam-ul-Haq turns 28 years old today, celebrates his birthday with the team.

This is Azam Khan's dream come true.

These guys have more cake sessions than net sessions. If they win a test in Australia, we might see them bring out a three-tier cake.

The team and the PCB are obsessed with social media and likes. Who cares if it's Imam's birthday?

I don't know who started this cake trend in PCT. This trend needs to be stopped because even if you are eating one piece of cake, it is wasting your 3-4 hours of workout in the gym.

bro his fans care, and pcb's social media team should show these things. Plus, celebrating birthday is good for team environment.

They should not be posting this on social media and should be kept behind closed doors.

Pakistani cricket players and cake has become related.
PCB making sure that bond gets stronger with time and more people think of Pakistani cricket team when thinking about cake.

Pakistan team is slowly becoming Cakistan team. It's ok to cut cakes, but there is no need to put it on social media every time.

Another cake celebration in Pakistan cricket, this time by the u19 players as they celebrated the birthday of the fast bowler Khubaib Khalil.

We’re at a point where the only way to stop the cake culture is by giving them more cakes.

More cake = more chances of players being sick of eating cake.

Azhar Ali cuts cake with fellow cricketers on achieving another milestone in the First class cricket. The man has just scored his 50th century in the first class cricket format today. A feat that only 7 other Pakistani cricketers have accomplished.

Getting 50 centuries in First-class cricket is no joke. He is the pride of Pakistan. Congratulations Legend for achieving this massive milestone.

Another cake celebration but this time from our U19s lads for their special buddy, Ubaid Shah.

So Ubaid is officially 18 today. Let's see if he can take his team to the final.

Important to remember this is a remnant of the Misbah era.

His loser/small team mentality was always going to destroy the psyche of Pakistan cricket.

Ridiculous man, the games gone.

Every birthday, every milestone, every match award you will get a cake regardless of the match result.

Absolutely HATE the cake culture, take me back to the good old times where we had ruthless cricketers that were built like tanks, battle hardened warriors, not a bunch of softies who put more time and effort into posing for the gram.

The only time these wastemen should cut a cake is when the manage to draw/win a test in Aus/SA

An awkward trend has started and it will go on and on. Please find a big reason for this kind of celebration like winning a test match in Australia or winning the T20 world.

At this point, they surely have to be trolling.

How do you cut cakes after losses? Not once but so many times?

This is one of the worst eras in Pakistani cricket and sadly huge blame goes to Babar for letting this happen as he's the one teammate everyone respects. If he was a fit player and demanded it from the rest, everyone would have fallen into line.

There is no reason for professional athletes to be eating cake.

Let's not brush the issue under the carpet, this isn't a trend that began yesterday. It goes back to Misbah's days as captain who used to reward every 5fer and hundred, regardless of the nature of the performance and the outcome of the match.

We need to come to terms with the fact that the Misbah school of thought has done and is continuing to do more harm than good for Pakistan cricket.

Surely you should investigate this further. Maybe there's a hidden conflict of interest, Misbah might have a bakery or something!

Before Misbah I remember we used to have kheers and halwas for celebrations. Damn these farangi cakes

There are 100 other things to worry about, but our fans are concerned about cricketers cutting a cake....

Its a 2 pound cake that gets divided between 25 people..

See, drinking alcohol is fine, but eating cake is not, according to Indians and Pakistan haters.

To top it off, I wonder what these said haters cut on their birthday? The ambilical cord?

Lets not forget the IPL match winning after parties, booze, food, and cheer leaders, but no, a cake is ruffling feathers.
This!

Its funny how these posters dont have issue with alcahol and beer that is drank, because foreign cricketers do that so its acceptable.

But because foreign cricketers may not eat cake, so the outrage.....

Have you ever seen the difference between the foreign cricketers and our superstars?

The difference that exists is not being caused due to a piece of cake, trust me.

The difference is due to grass root sports.

You could have Australian cricketers eating cake or Biryani and no one would say anything because whatever a foreign cricketer does is acceptable. Hell breaks out if a Pakistani does it.

Like i said, compared to foreign players drinking alcahol, i dont see any issue with the cake

I don't mind pak players doing it as long as they are fit. The issue is that our guys just don't look fit and eat cake.
Warner smokes (or used to), but that doesn't bother me (so much) becuase he was always in top physical shape.

I understand, but the thing is often small celebrations require some offering being distributed.

Now Pakistan cant go around celebrating with alcahol, or distributing mithai. So in our case the cake does the trick. Plus, these cakes are usually given by sponsors.

Along with that, if the team does not show pictures and videos of the team celebrating small achievements, than fakes news is created that there are problems in the dressing room or what not.

Basically, its like how in the corporate sector, good performance is rewarded by pizza party instead of a comission or salary increase, similarly we get cakes haha.

You think anyone believes this? :ROFLMAO:

I watched Pakistan team throughout the 2000s and I never ever witnessed kheers/halwas being distributed after losing matches.

You have to be so desperate to go to such lengths and come up with such a lie.
