[PICTURES/VIDEOS] Sajid Khan - International performance watch

I fear sajid won't be as effective in this 2nd inning. The reason being he bowled out side off in the rough and got wickets mostly with batsmen playing through the offside against the turn. Now to counter that England are sweeping and reverse sweeping. Can sajid bowl around the wicket and bring LBW into play? @Saj @Mamoon @Rana

Root and Pope were countering him in the first innings too with conventional sweeps. They both mistimed shots they nailed earlier against him.

He doesn’t have to panic. Just stick to your plan. The pitch will always have one with your name on it.
 
I wasnt a fan, infact i thought he was rubbish and although I have only seen the highlights, he seemed to be spinning the ball a little more( no doubt a 7th day pitch helped).I felt before he was under cutting the ball but I saw some side spinning. Let's hope he can really challenge in the coming years because the cupboard is bare.
 
If anyone saw the interview by Ben yesterday then you would know this was excellent thinking on the part of Sajid

Ben said this about Sajid yesterday "He was bowling straighter to me, but then changed his line to being more wider and that made it more difficult for me"

Today, he got Ben for a duck and if you see the ball was pitched around the 5th or 6th stump

The guy is a tactician and probably a future captain, if he continues to perform
 
What is his real age?

He looks older than 31.

But what a bowler, he should be in the ODI team.

Sajid has a better strike rate than Ajmal but he needs to work on his average.

He might fail on flat tracks.
 
Bowled with control, most of all bowled one side of wicket. That causes pressure and wickets

Definitely an improvement from a couple of years ago, which was mostly under cutters and balls rolled out. Lots more side spin and has shown real improvement. His tests will come when he plays on flat wickets but ATM he is doing a good job.

Really loved his improvement. Inspired life into a dead team.
 
Fantastic improvement. Love to see someone go back and work on their game. Looked clueless on the Australia tour but is easily our MVP here. Hopefully this now gives him the confidence to do well even on non helpful pitches
 
Very positive and aggressive player.

Sajid's presence seems to have lifted Pakistan up.

Didn't impress much initially in international cricket (not helped by awful pitches), but thought he bowled well in the Sydney Test, and was unlucky not to get a look-in for Bangladesh.

Using the conditions well and seems a thinking bowler too.

Yeah Sajid and Noman were undone by the deadly duo of Rambo-Bobzy

Rambo provided those awful pitches and then bobzy would make them bowl those awful negative lines to keep the runs down it’s good that one can finally see what they are capable off if pitches suit them

You’ve gotta love this guy. Just simply the complete bowler. No doosra no gimmicks no kink in the arm just straight forward off spin beating batsmen in the air with an old ball and new ball. On a used pitch and a new pitch. Him and Nauman are essential for Pak bowling attack where ever we play.
 
Sajid got his third wicket of the inning and achieved the milestone of 50 wickets in Test cricket. He reached this feat in his 11th Test match.

Boy is having a dream run at home.

31 years old, I’d play him at home for another 10-15 years.

No he shouldn't. He won't get these pitches. He was getting slapped around in the QEA Final where there wasn't too much assistance for spinners.
 
He has improved( how much is difficult to tell) and has shown real character but bigger tests await on flatter wickets. He is truly a horses for courses man
 
Sajid Khan started strongly in the 2nd test against windies... Gets his first wicket of the match... What a time he is having at home..
 
Because in the absence of any meaningful test cricket in the foreseeable future Sajid has a choice between playing low quality matches at home or low quality matches in unfamiliar territory. The latter is obviously preferable to doing nothing for 6 months.
