[PICTURES/VIDEOS] What now for Babar Azam?

Once Saim and Fakhar are back, Babar will be okay.
He is a good support batsman and cannot win a game on his own. There is no need to remove him from the Odi team.
Rizwan is also better than any other options and has actually performed better than Babar

Babar Azam speaking during the official press conference before the start of the PSL 10:

“I speak up where it's necessary, but I’m not the kind of person who will sit here, like others, and talk in front of the media about what should be done. When there’s something that needs to be said, I say it directly to the concerned people behind closed doors. For me, that’s the right way to handle things. If you’re referring to matters related to PCB, management, or anything else, I won’t come here and make a public spectacle or create a fuss on social media about what should be done. It’s not my job."

If true I will lose respect for Babar. He needs to do what the team demands.
Bro I even made a thread here to sincerely support Babar at number 3. I know it’s his best position and I know it will make him useful in T20s.

Umar Akmal speaking during a TV show:

“He was the captain of the Pakistan team for five years. Now that he's facing a tough time, as Pakistanis, we should support him. It’s not like we should just strip him of the captaincy or remove him from the team. This is the right time to support him.”

“As a player, there’s no doubt that he is currently one of Pakistan’s best players. His batting average is over 50, and he has maintained a top ranking. Whether it's ODIs, T20s, or Test matches, he has proven his ability. He should think about his situation and realize that if people want to take away his captaincy, that is up to the franchise—it’s neither his nor my decision.”

“He has captained for five years, and if he hasn’t won titles, then why did the PCB appoint him? Every two years, the T20 World Cup happens; every four years, the 50-over World Cup takes place. After two years, it should be clear whether someone is fit to be captain or not. If he wasn’t suitable, then PCB should have replaced him earlier—so why did they let him stay for five years?”

“Even now, in the PSL, this is his fourth time as captain. If the franchise didn’t believe in his leadership, they wouldn’t have kept him. Normally, it doesn’t take more than a year to recognize if someone can lead a team. So, the franchise must have faith in him, otherwise, they wouldn’t have kept him for so long.”

“First-class cricket is the toughest environment for captaincy. If a player has led a first-class team, they are likely to become a good captain. Babar led the U-19 team, but he didn’t captain in first-class cricket until after he started playing for Pakistan. Ideally, PCB should have asked him to play first-class cricket and be the captain there first. That way, both he and Pakistan cricket could have benefited. But that didn’t happen.”

“Some people are saying he should be dropped from the team completely. Everyone has their own views, and they are entitled to like or dislike a player. However, using harsh words and saying "drop him from the team" isn’t fair. He has been Pakistan’s number one player for four to five years, raising the country’s name on the global stage. So, how can you just decide to remove him from the franchise and PSL?”

“PSL is a brand, and right now, he is one of the key figures keeping the league relevant. There are three or four major players who define PSL's reputation. If you remove him, where would PSL stand? PSL is already facing financial losses.”

Former Pakistan legend Zaheer Abbas has a big piece of advice for Babar Azam, shared in a recent media interaction:

“I get the sense that he either has an ego problem or is too shy to ask his senior players for advice to help him through his current slump. I clearly remember how former Indian batter Azharuddin came to me for guidance during India’s tour to Pakistan in 1989-90. He was struggling to score runs, and I suggested he adjust his batting grip. The change helped him regain his form,”

“I’ve observed that Babar’s dismissals have been a result of him rushing into his shots, which clearly indicates he’s struggling to find the time to settle in the middle.”

why do people say that. he does not look terrible. Tom Cadmore looks in worse shape.

Go to the match thread and you'll find the following comment:

Bobby looks 3 months pregnant :ba

Just because he doesn't look as bad as Azam Khan, that does not excuse him for looking so badly out of shape.

is he now going to come at number 3 and take Haris spot to hide from the new ball

Won't be long before Javed Afridi kicks Babar out realizing he isn't worth the investment

In an interview, Amir also had words of support and advice for Babar Azam, calling him "Pakistan’s best cricketer without a doubt," while acknowledging the star batter's current struggles. He said:

"Babar Azam is Pakistan’s best cricketer, no doubt about that. Right now, he is going through a bad patch, and it has been a bit too long. Every player faces a rough phase at some point. Once Babar gets through this, I am sure he will start scoring big runs again,"

I have noticed that Babar is arriving a little late to the ball. Because of that, he is struggling with his shot selection. He needs to work on his footwork to get back to his best."

Big big game tomorrow for PZ and Babar in particular, it's becoming desperate and his reputation is at stake now. He must stand up now against a jaded LQ

Whatever maybe the outcome in PSL and internationals, I sincerely pray to the celestial powers that Babar stays away from the dross and cesspit that is BPL

Lol and this was suppossed to be a vital PSL for Babar and Rizwan to convince the PCB to keep them in the T-20 team. So much for that
