Why is Kevin O'Brien in England team? He is Irish.

This feels like going back in time. I want to watch this tournament for nostalgia alone.

It would have been more nostalgic if India had Sachin, David, Sourav. Only ones I will be nostalgic to see are yuvi and kevin

Steyn, Afridi, Gayle, Sammy, Kevin Pietersen, Gibbs, Brett Lee, Ian Bell etc.

My favorite players are all there.

Since you quoted India England team so I named those players. In eng and Ind team the players that are I interested in seeing are only yuvi and kevin.

Other names you mentioned are great. But why Ian bell lol. Watching paint dry was more interesting than Bell's batting

Ian Bell was a good batter.

He is not suited to T20 but was a gun Test batter. I hope I will get to see him bat.

Looks like game is done. Indians won by 3 wickets.

Bell top-scored. 59* from 44 balls. Not bad for a retired player.

Pakistan champions stole our mascot 😭. BCB use this as an excuse and change it to our national bird magpie or the national fish hilsha now, will save a lot of insult for the magnificent beast tigers!!

Bell was so boring to me. Guy used to score 100s against us and I got ever more bored watching him tuk tuk and tuk tuk our then bowlers

India Champions won by 3 wkts

Not gonna lie,

This Australian Chachu’s side is probably a team as strong as the current Pakistan XI

Man of the Match for his 63(41), Pakistan Champions captain Younis Khan after his side's 5-wicket in over Australia Champions in game 2 of the World Championship of Legends:

"We haven't done much practice seriously speaking, as we had been busy doing TV work for the World Cup, and we just finished and travelled here, but our spirits are very high because after what happened in the World Cup, we felt that we had to win this game for our country"

Finch alone solos our current unit. It'll be Like the NZ c side vs Pakistan, where pakistan better hope Chapman doesn't kick off or it's game over

A few things this game proved.

A) Malik is still a better allrounder then chacha and Shadab.

B) YK was and still is the greatest captain post 2000 era. I watched how YK captained, he's leagues and leagues > Babar as a captain. Never panicked even when Finch was going to town. Used his bowlers to perfection, even a burnt out ajmal was well utilised. He fumbled by bowling afridi at the end though.

C) Misbah for all his faults does provide stability in the Middle order. Thank God misbah isn't captaining this team but as a player MO stability is missing from current Pakistan team.

D) Sharjeel, Maqsood, Kamran akmal deapite departing early ensured 70 runs were made in the PP and run rate didn't fall, Whereas current Pakistan team is the opposite, Where 2 wickets fall after 10 overs but the scorecard reads 65.

E) The value of quality spinners that Pakistan use to have would make the game as ajmal, Afridi and malik wickets is what sealed the deal while the current lot has no quality spinners besides abrar who isn't being played to protect Sheddy

The result surprised me. I thought it would be the other way.

Wish they had guldozer and Imran nazir instead of Sharjeel. I thought he hasn't retired has he.

Where is this being shown? USA guys- where do you watch this? Also was surprised cricinfo is not covering this. Any reason for that?

I expect Pakistan Champs to be in the final.

Wouldn't be surprised if it is Pakistan vs India in the final.

These tournaments usually have fun squads. A mixture of active players, long retired players, fit and unfit. A very good mix

This tournament has taken it next level and put O brien in with England and made Amir Yamin a legend.

Bangladesh should have been represented. Maybe a Bangladesh and Sri Lanka combined side. There are a lot of Bangladeshis in the UK who may have went to the matches.

This is a tournament for retired established names. Before Shakib's batch, there wasn't any big legend in Bangladesh.

Maybe after Shakib, Mahmudullah, Mushfiq etc. retire, they can participate in these legends leagues.

After 10 overs West Indies Champion are at 77/2 while chasing 194 against Pakistan Champions.

I remember Akram Khan used to play in those days. He was the most recognizable BD cricketer before Tamim, Shakib came along

Akram Khan did a lot for BD during the initial days. Him and Aminul Islam Bulbul were the initial superstars.

But, they are nowhere near the same league as Shakib, Tamim, Mahmudullah, Mushfiq etc. Shakib's 2006-2007 batch was the first proper BD batch.

You know this is a LEGENDS league?
Look at some of the names in the India team and other teams who have barely played international cricket.

Javed Iqbal
tamim
Ashraful ( if allowed)
Mashrafe
Abdul Razak

Could all play with a combination of Lanka players to make an Asian XI.

Pakistan Champions defeat West Indies Champions by 29 runs to claim their second win in the World Championship of Legends 2024

PAKISTAN win, nice 2 for 2 now. I am carious to know, and I dont know how this tourney works, but I was under the impression its retired players, however from Pakistan team, their is 4 active players (not retired) Maqsood, Aamer Yamin, Sharjeel, and Shoaib Malik, all who are not retired if I am not mistaken. So are active players are allowed, like is their a minimum or max allowed, just carious to know.

There are no rules on min max. It's the very definition of fun cricket.

I'm enjoying watching pak Champions more then our current team.

Every single member of the team is gelled together, and no one is their to make anyone look good.

Even if the tournament is just a halwa fun tournament you can tell this is a gelled team that wants to win while having fun and YK is proving himself to be the best captain.

Like yesterday he noticed the spinners were getting bashed when bowling full, so he went to afridi and malik to bowl shorter and slower and it did wonders. Whereas babar would have been cluelessly saying shabash shabash.

I hope the chairman isn't watching this. He may try to make domestic boundaries the same size as these.
