Eid prayers held in mosques not roads, says UP CM Yogi Adityanath

Asserting that there are no law and order issues in the state, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday said Eid-ul-Fitr prayers are being held in mosques and not on the roads. The chief minister said there are many religions in the state but there is so much peace and no riots.

"Today on Eid, prayers are being read in mosques and not on the streets. There are no traffic snarls as everyone knows that the rule of law is the same for all. There is no discrimination in UP," Yogi Adityanath said.

Earlier in the day, Yogi Adityanath also extended wishes to the people on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.He said the festival of Eid-ul-Fitr brings the message of happiness and strengthens social unity as well as enhances the feeling of mutual brotherhood.

Addressing a public gathering, Yogi Adityanath said, "Two regions in the state, eastern Uttar Pradesh and Bundelkhand, were considered economically backward. But, today both areas are connected by Express Highway. People were scared by hearing the name of Azamgarh, but today it is connected to the Express Highway. We have also built an airport and a university for the people."

"There is no fear in Azamgarh today. Deepotsav is being organised in Ayodhya and Dev-Deepawali is happening in Kashi. Prayagraj is known for Kumbh and Magh Mela. Vrindavan is known for Rangotsav. Every event has now turned into a festival in Uttar Pradesh," the chief minister said.

"No mafia can threaten anyone in the state. In 2017, the law and order situation in Uttar Pradesh was bad and it was infamous for riots. Earlier, the state's identity was in danger, but now the state is becoming a danger to the mafias," Yogi Adityanath said.

"There were more than 700 riots from 2012 to 2017 but not a single riot took place from 2017 to 2023. Curfew was not imposed even once. Now, no mafia can threaten any entrepreneur or businessman. Uttar Pradesh of today guarantees the best security," he added.

Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath's Big Statement On Pakistan Occupied Kashmir

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday claimed people from Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) are demanding to be part of India and nobody wants to stand with "penniless" Pakistan. "Did anybody think nine years ago that Article 370 would be abrogated. Nobody had thought about it... And you saw that on August 5, 2019, Article 370 was thrown in the garbage of history," Adityanath said.

"...Kashmir is functioning as per laws of India, and moving forward with a new stream of development and peace," he said. The chief minister made the remarks while addressing a function here to inaugurate and lay the foundation of various development projects worth Rs 1,212 crore in the presence of Union minister Narendra Singh Tomar.

"Today, there is no violence in Kashmir. Now, there is a demand from Pakistan-occupied Kashmir that they want to be a part of India. Nobody wants to stand with 'daridra' (penniless) Pakistan," Adityanath said. "In 1952, Syama Prasad Mookerjee had said that two 'pradhaans' (heads), two 'nishaans' (emblems) and two 'vidhaans' (laws) cannot be there, and for this he also sacrificed his life. ...People used to say that this is a dream, and we used to say that it will translate into reality. Let a true son of 'Bharatmata' like Narendra Modi become the Prime Minister, and he will fulfil the dream of Syama Prasad Mookerjee," Adityanath said.

The chief minister also said that the world now looks to India in times of crisis, and the Prime Minister (Narendra Modi) now serves as a "sankatmochan" (troubleshooter). "Whether it is the development of India's infrastructure, internal and external security, or the work of taking welfare schemes to the general public, everything has been done with great sincerity. India has changed, as has the world's perception of it," he said.

Taking a jibe at Pakistan, the chief minister said that India under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership is providing free ration to over 80 crore people, while the people in the neighbouring country are struggling to get two meals a day. "Pakistan is getting punished for its sins. India is embarking on a new journey, while Pakistan is starving," Adityanath said.

The CM said nine years ago, infiltration occurred in border regions but it does not happen anymore. Even if someone dares to do so, India today has the courage to carry out airstrikes and surgical strikes inside the enemy's own stronghold, he said. "Nine years ago, there was terrorism and Naxalism in this country, which was spread out over more than 115 districts...Today, it has been reduced to three-four districts. By eradicating Naxalism from Indian soil, the foundation for Ram Rajya has been laid, and its vision will soon be realised," he said.

Adityanath also highlighted that India has surpassed Britain to become the fifth-largest economy in the world and is also leading the G20 members today. He also said that Kashi Vishwanath Dham has evolved into a grand Dham in recent years, and that a magnificent Ram temple is currently being constructed in Ayodhya. "Keep in mind that as Ayodhya develops, Ambedkar Nagar will directly benefit from it," he said.

He must think of most of India's population as subhuman race if that's his criteria. Unless India suddenly became a developed nation overnight.

We are in 2023 but this chapri minister is still talking about Aurangzeb? :inti
bisht can't help it. His gullible bhakts think that the likes of Aurangzeb, Tipu Sultan still have relevance.

No Reason Why India Cannot Take Back Sindh From Pakistan: Yogi Adityanath

The Chief Minister said the Sindhi community needs to tell its present generation about its history, pointing out that the community suffered the most after Partition.

Lucknow:
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday said if Shri Ram Janmabhoomi can be taken back after 500 years, there is no reason why India cannot take back "Sindhu" - the Sindh province, now in Pakistan.

According to a press statement issued by the state government, the Chief Minister, while addressing the two-day National Sindhi Convention, said, "After 500 years, a grand temple of Lord Ram is being constructed in Ayodhya. Ramlala will be seated again in his temple by the Prime Minister in January."

He went on to add, "If Ram Janmabhoomi can be taken back after 500 years, there is no reason why we cannot take back Sindhu."

As Yogi Adityanath made the remark, the auditorium rang out with thunderous applause, the statement said.

The Chief Minister said the Sindhi community needs to tell its present generation about its history, pointing out that the community suffered the most after Partition.

He also said that the stubbornness of just one person led to the Partition.

"When Partition of the country took place, lakhs of people were massacred. A large area of India became Pakistan. The Sindhi community suffered the most as it had to leave its motherland. Even today, we have to bear the brunt of the tragedy of Partition in the form of terrorism," he said at the event organised by the Sindhi Council of India.

"If we have to move forward on the path of the welfare of humanity, then the evil tendencies of the society will have to end. Our religious scriptures also give us the same inspiration. Be it respected Jhulelal ji or Lord Shri Krishna, everyone has talked about protecting the good and eliminating the evil for human welfare," he said.

"Where there is a country, there is a religion too. And when there is religion, there is a society in which we all exist," he said, adding that under the leadership of PM Modi, terrorism is on its last legs in India.

The Chief Minister appealed to people to take the pledge of "nation first" to prevent the repeat of a Partition-like tragedy.

We should be prepared to give a befitting reply to anyone who plays with the unity and integrity of the nation. The Sindhi community is an integral part of the Sanatana Dharma of India. The community has progressed with its efforts even in tough circumstances. It has set an example of how to reach the top from zero," he said.

Concentrate on making India a more developed country rather than pipe dreaming about capturing further land.

I wonder why Yogi bhai didn't want to reclaim the rest of the land lost from Bharat?

Bangladesh, Kashmir, Punjab are very major areas, why only Sindh was considered a loss?

This guy is supposed to be a hindu firebrand, seems to me he is barely a pussycat if his vision is so puny.

He spouts whatever rubbish his bhakts want to hear. These bigots are only creation of their bigot followers, nothing more nothing less.

He is an absolute bigot but the place he comes from is hotbed of bigotry. I stayed in his constituency gorakhpur for a few months. Man, it was the worst of india. All the terrible stereotypes world and Pakistanis have about india coming out to life.
But sad truth, if bjp stays in power, after modi he will be the next pm and it will hurt our identity.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for inaugurating various projects in Ayodhya and said that the wait of 500 years is about to end.

"Lord Ram is going to be seated in his grand temple on January 22. The wait of 500 years is about to end. Before the arrival of the Lord, there was a plan of PM that Ayodhya would be established as the most beautiful city in the world. The way the people have welcomed PM Modi today gives everyone a glimpse of the new Ayodhya of a new India," CM Yogi said.

He further said that Ayodhya is also connected with excellent 4 lanes, 6 lanes and 8 lanes of road connectivity, which is also going to be inaugurated under the guidance of PM Modi.

"Along with this, the new railway station, Vande Bharat Trains and 2 Amrit Bharat Trains have also been inaugurated. This is Ayodhya, where people hesitate to take its name. Another record has been added to the name of PM Modi. He has become the only PM who has visited Ayodhya the most times. Naming the airport after Maharishi Valmiki is going to make India's tradition proud," he added.

PM Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for multiple development projects worth ₹ 15,700 crore in Uttar Pradesh's Ayodhya today.

Earlier in the day, he inaugurated the redeveloped Ayodhya Railway Station and flagged off new Amrit Bharat trains and Vande Bharat trains. He also dedicated several other railway projects to the nation.

The Prime Minister dedicated numerous development projects worth more than ₹ 15,700 crore to the state, aligning with his vision to create modern, world-class infrastructure while preserving Ayodhya's rich history and heritage. These include projects worth about ₹ 11,100 crore for the development of Ayodhya and its surrounding areas and projects worth about ₹ 4600 crore related to other projects across Uttar Pradesh.

PM Modi also laid the foundation stone for infrastructure projects, including the Lucknow-Ayodhya section of NH-28 (new NH-27), modification of the existing Ayodhya bypass, the establishment of the CIPET centre, and the construction of offices for the Municipal Corporation of Ayodhya and Ayodhya Development Authority.

Additionally, the Prime Minister also initiated the development and beautification of tourist facilities spanning from Naya Ghat to Laxman Ghat, the construction of a visitor gallery for events like Deepotsav and the strengthening and renovation of the pilgrim path from Ram Ki Paidi to Raj Ghat and Raj Ghat to Ram Temple.

According to you what is the worst thing that Yogi has done to Muslims since he became CM about 7 yrs ago?

Start with decisions that resulted in loss of life.

A question for the Indians on here. How likely is it that this guy will be India's next PM?

A question for the Indians on here. How likely is it that this guy will be India's next PM?
The call is about 4 years away but I'd say he has about as good a chance as any of the second line BJP leaders - Amit Shah and himself are probably in the lead. The opposition needs to organise itself and find someone to rally around if they want to deny BJP a fourth term.

I can't imagine the Indian public voting him into power. He looks like an orange gnome, would be a step too far.

That is bigoted comment insulting all saints who wear saffron. You can say anything about the person, but not cool to insult sacred symbols of our religion.

Yogi seems quite malnourished. Does he only consume vegetables?

I think he can bulk up to solidify his "tough guy" image.

That's pretty poorly worded but you'd be wrong to imagine it's impossible. The Indian prime ministership has always flowed through UP. If you can deliver a good chunk of that 80 seat block, you have a huge headstart.

Still too early to worry about it though. He has very little to show it terms of development. He's had 7 years and plenty of central government support and UP's still near the bottom of virtually every social indicator.

Yogi seems quite malnourished. Does he only consume vegetables?

I think he should bulk up to solidify his "tough guy" image.

If anything he's lost weight. I'm sure in photos of him a few years back he looked a lot more beefy. Actually a positive in my book as it shows some self control and and discipline to stick to a healthy vegan diet.

Perhaps this is tactical malnourishment.

What is wrong with you brother? Are you Boris Johnson in disguise? He also said something like 'Letter Box' addressing other people's attire. These kind of behaviour is not acceptable mate

CM Yogi Adityanath's government reactivating anti-Romeo squads in Uttar Pradesh

The Uttar Pradesh government is set to reactivate the anti-Romeo squads, which were initially introduced in 2017 with the stated aim of preventing sexual harassment, Press Trust of India (PTI) reported on Thursday.

The decision, spearheaded by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, was made during a meeting in the Ambedkar Nagar district on Wednesday.

The state government emphasised the need to create an environment free of fear, with Adityanath stressing that the safety of women should be a top priority.

"He ordered the reactivation of the Anti-Romeo Squad team and directed district-level officers to ensure public hearings and communication," the government said, as reported by The Hindu.

The chief minister also highlighted the importance of timely and quality resolution of complaints received through the IGRS and Chief Minister Helpline Portal, prioritizing complainant satisfaction.

The anti-Romeo squads, composed of police personnel, were launched shortly after Adityanath first assumed office in 2017.

These teams primarily targeted boys found outside girls' colleges and those allegedly involved in harassing women.

However, the squads faced significant criticism for overstepping their mandate, with reports of harassment of couples in consensual relationships, extortion, and public shaming.

From March 2017 to December 2020, anti-Romeo squads arrested over 14,454 men and were accused of engaging in extra-legal actions, including forcing sit-ups, head-shavings, and blackening faces as forms of public humiliation.

Despite these controversies, the Uttar Pradesh government is moving forward with the reactivation, aiming to bolster women's safety in the state.

While women get abused and harassed while they go about their daily work on the streets of UP, there is a good chance this romeo squad nonsense will be abused.

Education and women’s rights must be taught at schools.

Eve teasing is a huge issue in ind. In principle, this is a good strategy but the implementation is ripe for abuse.. maybe instead have a dedicated phone hotline with a rapid response team to respond to tthe call in real-time. And maybe allow only women to be heads of these response teams.

The problem is that even the terminology is wrong. Calling it "Teasing" when it is sexual harassment.
Glorified and propagated by bollywood and all other woods.

Totally Agree that a stronger terminology needs to be used. Also don't think it's fair to blame bollywood. It's just movies that are fictional for entertainment and should be left at that. Hollywood makes lots of movies but nobody in the US takes them at face value for real life application. It's the mindset of the people. Playing devils advocate here- bollywood also shows lots of good things-be ideal, fight against crime and corruption, maintain health and fitness, respect everyone, honest cops etc etc but these sadak chaps only want to highlight the Masala stuff..

I also read in a news paper here that an airline in India is testing out seats reserved for females only where they can sit far away from men? Seems like they are working on these issues.

Yes but I've also heard that women have zero chance of being "teased" by Yogi

'Batenge toh katenge': Yogi Adityanath's unity call, cites Bangladesh chaos

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath emphasised the importance of national unity while speaking a Janmashtami event in Agra. Chief Minister Adityanath said that the strength of the nation lay in staying together. Making a reference to the Bangladesh crisis, Adityanath said, "batenge toh katenge (if we are divided, we will be cut)."

Aditayanath was unveiling a statue of Rashtraveer Durgadas Rathore in Agra on Monday on the occasion of Janmashtami when he made these comments.

Calling for unity, Chief Minister said, "Brothers and sisters, nothing can be done without unity; nothing can be achieved. The nation will be strong only if we stay united and virtuous. If we divide, we will be cut off. You see what’s happening in Bangladesh, don’t you? Those mistakes should not be repeated here. If we divide, we will be cut off."

On Yogi's "Batega toh Katega" remark, Samajwadi Party chief and Lok Sabha MP Akhilesh Yadav stated, "Yogi's recent statement on Bangladesh indicates his aspirations for the Prime Minister's position. This isn't the first time he's hinted at it. I trust that the officials in Delhi will make it clear that he shouldn't interfere in their matters."

Yogi Adityanath Issues Festive Guidelines: Crackdown On Illicit Liquor, Illegal Slaughterhouses; No Meat Sale Near Temples

Ahead of the festive season, Uttar Pradesh (UP) Chief Minister (CM) Yogi Adityanath instructed district and police officers to crack down on the open sale of meat and illegal slaughterhouses.

During a review meeting, he emphasised that no meat or liquor shops should be located near religious sites, and liquor outlets should adhere strictly to permitted hours of operation.

The UP CM also directed a sustained campaign against illicit liquor as Navratra is set to start tomorrow (3 October). The guidelines are expected to be enforced from Sharadiya Navratra to Chhath Puja.

In a video conference with district magistrates and police chiefs, Yogi called for heightened intelligence coordination with the Railways to address incidents of gas cylinders and stones being placed on tracks.

This comes after several incidents of attempted sabotage in the state. The CM highlighted the potential for conspiracy to disrupt train services. He urged authorities to improve the village chowkidar system to prevent such acts.

Adityanath also asked officials to remain vigilant during upcoming festivals, ensuring that no untoward incidents occur. He urged district administrations to review past incidents and take precautions.

He instructed Durga Puja committees to work closely with police, avoid obstructing traffic with pandals, and maintain a peaceful and respectful atmosphere, ensuring no high-decibel music or inappropriate behavior.

The UP CM emphasised that officers should be on the ground during festivals, as miscreants may attempt to disrupt public order. He stressed the importance of public safety and convenience.

Major temples of the state like Maa Vindhyavasini Dham and others are likely to attract large crowds during the Navratra. The officers should ensure that the stakeholders behave well with the people, he added.

To accommodate increased travel during festivals, Yogi Adityanath instructed the expansion of bus services in rural areas and the use of electric buses in cities.

Furthermore, Yogi ordered hospitals to remain fully staffed around the clock, ensure sufficient medicine supplies, and launch a campaign against food adulteration.

He emphasised that government-provided rations and nutritional supplements must reach those in need, with no room for ration mafia activity.

The CM also announced the imminent launch of the fifth phase of Mission Shakti, focusing on women's safety, dignity, and empowerment.

He also directed that beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana receive free LPG cylinders before Diwali, Hindustan Times reported.

He called on various departments to execute their respective action plans and stressed the importance of resolving revenue disputes, inheritance issues, and family partition matters promptly.
