Ajinkya Rahane - though it's based on recent form and not any long-term stats based analysis.

Both kohli and imran. To average 50 with bat is remarkable,to average 20 with ball is renarkable but to do both while leading a side is amazing. Kohli as well has been the bradman of odis in the last 4 to 5 years.

In this series so far batting average as a captain = 55
Overall captaincy batting average = 51.80

As a corollary to this, you can also say that he seems suppressed under the bombastic Kohli.

Steve Smith as a captain:
Test batting average = 70.37
ODI batting average = 45

Kohli’s 74 ODI batting average as captain is nuts.

Imran’s 52 Test batting average plus 20 bowling average as captain is absolutely stupid.

Great deduction. Enough statistical evidence to show that he was suppressed under dhoni and kohli. The best way to get the best out of him is to make him captain.

If you do that, you’ll have to make someone like KL Rahul or Gill Test captain in 3 years or so.

Kohli averaged 40 under Dhoni, and 69 under Sehwag. Safe to conclude that he was suppressed under Dhoni and his best can be achieved by making Sehwag the captain.

I wonder how Imran's career and legacy would have turned out if he never captained Pakistan
