ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) nominated on Thursday party leader Rana Tanveer as the new head of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC), a position previously held by party president Shahbaz Sharif.

The decision was made following consultations between the Sharif brothers.

Meanwhile, the party has also nominated former foreign minister Khawaja Asif as its new parliamentary leader.
Shehbaz was elected as PAC chairman in December, after a four-month-long tussle between the treasury and opposition benches over the committee chairmanship.

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf had conceded to the opposition’s demand but on the condition that special panels probing the PML-N government’s expenditure would be headed by a member from the treasury bench.

Prime Minister Imran Khan did not want Shehbaz head the PAC – the most powerful body of the parliament that makes decisions on the audit reports finalised by the department of the Auditor General of Pakistan.

So what's going on inside PMLN and Sharif family? It looks like IK got what he wanted in the end Shahbaz is no more PAC Chairman. Removed within 4 months by hsi own party so i guess he wasn't a competent PAC chairman right? or these comments only appear when someone from PTI is replaced or resigned Bewal Express

If there is a deal going on i am ok with it but only if they give the money back otherwise we will see a repeat of Musharraf blunder.

Lol since the news is not related to PTI it seems like no 1 is intrested in discussing about it hence since morning only 2 replies.

Anyway noonies are also missing today

I am really confused as to the Noora tactics- they tell us that they don't want to run but at the same time they are running one by one. Most of the family are in London and NS is hoping to join them, so the 2 questions are arising why are they running and what will happen to the losers that don't have the power to bribe the LHC and get off ECL.

Lol so it looks like Shahbaz Sharif is not coming back to Pakistan? Thanks to the corrupt judges in Lahore High Court, this thief has been allowed to escape.

I found it very strange and wierd but Shahbaz Sharif never openly supported Nawaz Sharif when it came to receiving him, meeting him in jail, giving speeches in his favor. It appeared as if the moment NS was declared inelligible to hold public office for life by the SC in 2017, Shabhaz wanted nothing more to do with his elder brother. Shameful how fluid family relationships can be in front of money, power, politics.

Lol, he does realize that by running away from Pakistan, he has now ended up screwing his elder brother NS's chances of getting medical treatment abroad

It's always the same when the Nooras never come on any to discuss that pains them.

I am not convinced that he isn't come back, this could be a tactic to convince the courts to let NS to go abroad by suggesting that the Sharif's are trustworthy( if SS comes back). But he should never have been allowed to go abroad by the courts.

It looks like the top tier leadership of noonies is so upset right now they are thinking their leadership is escaping again signing a deal just look at Khawaja Saad comments.

I feel that there should be a constitutional amendment that MNA/MPA/Senators cannot remain outside the country for more than 4 weeks out of 1 calendar year. Otherwise, The seat is declared vacant and by-election held.

A week is a long time in Pakistani politics. Shehbaz has never shown any interest other than being CM and his sibling is trying to fake his away to treatment abroad.
And the PML is left to applaud the high pitches squealing of Zardari’s failson

So what actually happened to "Inqilaab" and "Vote ko izat do?"

He will comeback because not only his but his side of the families politics is totalling finished. But Saad knows that if they get out he will be left to face the music on his own for his corruption. It’s great to see the crooks falling out

So entire opposition literally blocked the parliament and refused to let parliament function until Shahbaz Sharif was made PAC chairman. He was facing multiple corruption scandals and had to be brought in by NAB especially for parliament proceedings. Hundreds of talkshows were held on this topic and everyone was sick of hearing how much Shahbaz's appointment was important for democracy.

4 months later he runs away from country refusing to come back.....SHAME ON ENTIRE OPPOSITION OF USELESS IDIOTS.

And moment of silence for INQILAAB brigade.

Maryam Nawaz uncle ke bhagore hone ke baad kaarkunaan ko jhuti tassalyan dete hue...

You know what's more funny? Saad and Hashmi were actually left out to face all the music and danda from Musharraf when last time Sharifs escaped and they kept these derbaris in dark by always saying humne koi deal nae ki until the Saudi with deal paper appeared on TV.

Nawaz Sharif's appeal for "Permanent bail" has been rejected. Big brother won't be joining younger brother Shahbaz now.
