He can still bash in PP, in our last odi series vs SriLanka he was the only one who scored runs and in fact was the highest run scorer from either side.

Rohit scored 157 runs at an average of 53 and str rate of 141 hitting 18 fours and 8 sixes in those 3 low scoring ODIs.

The second highest str rate in that series was 104 by wellalage.

Rohit is better than Kohli atm in ODIs.

They would perform mostly in group stages, they hardly do good in Knock outs so good for other teams. Missing out on Raturaj Gaikwand would be a mess for India
 
Lol no one is taking about nitish Reddy. He is going to include and india have luxury to play 4 allrounders (Hardik, Nitish Reddy, Axar Patel and Ravindra Jadeja)

Kl,arshdeep, jadeja are not required. Arshdeep too inconsistent in longer formats. KL is done .we need axea instead of oldie jadeja.Nitish should come in at 7 position to fix the batting failures of kohli and rohit.both are not required but will try to leech one last time.in short 2007 wc in making

It will tell whether gambhir have any guts to do it or not.most probably nothing will happen .but be cause of nz series and bgt, they will leave after ct25 for sure.otherwise pr teams were adamant to let them play till 27wc.

Sorry but no. No way should rohit kohli klrahul be in the team. They are way past their prime. There is so much exciting new batting talent in Ind - jaiswal, abhishek Sharma, tilak , parag, nitish reddy etc...

All 3 of Rohit, Kohli and Jadeja would probably be liabilities but I don't think that's going to mean much to GG and selectors .

Also, Jaiswal has not even made his ODI debut yet. Not sure they'll take that chance now.

Four Pacers is overkill when we have 2 pace all-rounders .

I like parag but jaiswal has to be selected ad not sure about Sanju Samson in odi cricket .both parag and Sanju are more suited for T20 cricket .

Nitish Reddy is a lower order hitter who bowls some part time seamers. His bowling can't be relied on throughout.

Hardik can't give more than 4-5 overs currently . The extra fast bowler is needed imo.

Parag is a very good List A batsman and he can also bowl a few overs.

Sanju has done very well in ODI cricket over the last 2 years.

Can I know ur playing 11? I dont want to see kl again.as iyer is susceptible against bounce and moreover next wc is in sa , it's better to leave him out .I don't think we will past first round.we can't chase a big score against any opponent as we are too dependent on individual performances and everyone seems to be out of form/inconsistent.

I will prefer jaiswal at 3 .kohli can move to 4 and take out iyer bounce issues. Arshdeep is not consistent in odis .he blows hot and cold .As it's odis , we need as much batting cushion as possible to negate rohit and kohli .we should try to win by bowling or batting other than washed players.I hope gill can score again as its Dubai dead batting tracks..if needed we should have washi in place of Kuldeep for batting. Washi can be decent but not penetrative like Kuldeep.

In UAE pitches will not get much bounce and Iyer is perfect player in the middle overs against spinners .

Virat has regressed against spinners .

Nitish really brought himself in to ct squad with today's epic performance. We need that kind of clutch performance to fix our batting woes.

“Most likely, this time he felt a tightness in the upper back," The Times of India quoted a former India pacer as saying on Wednesday. “The reports have gone to his surgeon, we should have the final results very soon. My hunch is he will be part of the first squad that will be announced for CT. After all, you can have an injury replacement later."

“Bumrah is a treasure and he should be handled with care. A CT is not the end of the world. If there is the slightest doubt, he shouldn’t be in the squad. Five back-to-back Test matches isn’t something he has ever played in his cricketing career," a former India trainer Ramaji Srinivasan said in the report.

Many other key questions are hanging in front of the selectors. There have been reports suggesting that skipper Rohit Sharma’s place as ODI captain could be at risk after the loss in Australia.

There are unresolved issues from the 2023 World Cup like the finisher’s spot in the playing 11, a second pacer in case of Mohammed Shami’s absence due to injury, the composition of the spin attack, and worthy backups who can impact games.

Allreports suggests wc 23 finals squad will be the playing eleven. pant and Jaiswal are back up only.i hope kl,kohli and rohit stinks in eng series. We should loose eng series horribly for setting ct squad correctly.

It will be dumb management if nitish is not selected for uae where heavy dew will be there and 3rd spinner is not required. I think with gambhir's fascination for multiple ars , he will get it.even dube and parag were there in sri lanka odis.

England series is in June.

Yeah am really surprised. I dont think indian team will.never really learn .it's the issue of captain at the start.if we can have rohit and can't play spin kohli as the sure starters, any one can make the team on any count.no rules apply only friendship applies.

Most likely team but i dont think we needs four Pacers just for 4-5 matches .

3 pacers are enough( Plush pandya) so instead the extra pacer they will choose on of the option from a extra spinner/ Sanju Samson / Nitish Reddy

If Bumrah is injured then they should get an extra batter in like Sanju otherwise it is fine..

It would've made sense if India had all their matches in Pakistan. But now in UAE. I think a couple of changes at least needs to be made

Bhai kuldeep too may miss out as per cricinfo. In that case no strike bowler and no batsmen in form
 
Without Bumrah and Kuldeep, we are pretty much hopeless.

I say just fill the team with all rounders upto 9 and try bulldozing the opponents with our batting. That's pretty much the only chance we have.

I gave 15 member squad...not asking Kohli to bat at 4. Only 1 between Gill and Jaiswal will play.

Then I will be tempted to have Leg spinner Chahal. But knowing TM, they probably want to have Jadeja.

Akash is also out of action for 1 month 🙃.should get nitish there at 7

Chahal is dropped by his state team .so let him deal with his personal issues .
It will be axar, washi and Jadeja .Selectors may be interested about varun but he don't have much chances as per cricinfo.
