So we hear that the ball will spin from Day 1- does that put India on a huge advantage or will England also be able to take advantage of this?

England Men have named a 12-strong squad for the second Test against India starting in Chennai on Saturday.

Captain Joe Root will confirm the side at the toss, with the Three Lions 1-0 up in the four-match series following victory by 227 runs in the first Test.

England squad for second Test: Joe Root (c), Moeen Ali, Stuart Broad, Rory Burns, Ben Foakes (w), Dan Lawrence, Jack Leach, Ollie Pope, Dom Sibley, Ben Stokes, Olly Stone, Chris Woakes.

If India lose, they are eliminated from the World Test Championship.

Toss is crucial, what I Would say is because of Roots mastery of playing spin I feel he could counter Indian spinners no matter what and England will get a competitive score either way by batting first or second as long as he gets good support, therefore lm backing England to win a close encounter.

Looks like a win toss, win match, type of pitch.

Indian fans will start making excuses again if they lose the toss and a game again.

Not sure how effective broad and woakes will be in these conditions. I can see moeen Ali getting wickets if he plays.

Expecting India to win this if not then easily this will be actually a very humiliating defeat for India as they will not be able to qualify for the WTC Final and also they cannot win the series if they fail to win 2nd test

So a very important match from Indian point of view as lots at stakes
