Eagerly waiting for the series- should have made it 7 game series reducing couple of royal games later, considering this is the last audition before WC. I don’t think there is enough time left to bring changes after Australia series, therefore this is like career defining (in terms of 2019 WC probables) series for several PAK players - Imam/Shan, Hafeez, Malik, Sarfraz, Imad, Shinwari.... 5 games are too little.

Last year, Indian spinners completely out fixed SAF in middle overs which resulted in 1-5, but PAK is short by at least one spinner and middle order isn’t that strong. Tough to call, probably safer is to say 4-1 SAF.

Anyone know what type of pitches to expect? On flat pitches SA should score enough. On bowling friendly pitches it could be a close series.

3-2 South Africa is my prediction but if we lost 4-1 it wouldn't surprise me.

I feel this will be closer than it seems but Pakistan's ODI batting is not that flash and the bowling has not been too great either over the last year or so. It will be 3-2 or 4-1 to SA. The games might get closer due to the fact that the SA batting is also vulnerable.

Except for the place where it's impossible to bat under light ( Cape town I think-tank that's just bad for morale to get bowled out for 135)

Want to see Fakhar Zamam play some aggressive innings, and Hasan Ali bowl well. 2 players I believe have a lot of potential. Not so sure about Fakhar in Tests, but he has all the ability in the world to do well in ODI cricket.

Pak played well.

Actually, they over-performed in my opinion.

Are you really that happy with Pakistan's performance in this series? Instead of winning 1 game, they have won 2. Whoop dedamdoo. 1st ODI that pak won, the SA team paid the price for assuming that 260 was enough for Pak batting to wilt. And even that game went to the last over, 10-15 more runs and Pak would have found a way to lose.

Not to take any credit away from Pak team, they have fought hard, and the batting has stood up - put up some quality performances in the series. But still.
