The 2 match series starts on 26th November in Chattogram with the second Test scheduled for Dhaka on 4th December.

What do you think will be the outcome of this series?

Bangladesh is very ordinary side in test cricket..
They can't even win on those doctored pitches..
That too against likes of Pakistan is next to impossible for them.

2-0 to Pakistan.

I expect big wins.

BD Test team are even worse than their T20 team.

I expect Pakistan to win the series, however, if Pakistan bats second then things could get difficult in the 4th innings. I doubt our batsman can score on rank turners.

Has to be 2-0 to Pakistan surely, unless they prepare very flat decks.

I think Babar can score a big ton even if the pitch is a minefield.

BD Test bowling attack is even worse than their T20 attack.

Babar Azam’s weakness would be playing against spin. I won’t be surprised if he doesn’t score 50+ in both games.

Bastman Joy, pacer Raja new faces in Tigers Test squad, Shakib included

There were first call-ups to the squad for 21-year old batter Mahmudul Hasan Joy and 22-year old pacer Rejaur Rahman Raja

Bangladesh Cricket Board has announced the squad for the opening match of the Alesha Holdings Test series against Pakistan, starting in Chittagong this Friday.

There were first call-ups to the squad for 21-year old Chittagong Division batsman Mahmudul Hasan Joy, who has made a promising start to his first-class career with two hundreds already in the ongoing National Cricket League, and Sylhet pacer Rejaur Rahman Raja.

The 22-year-old Raja, who has represented the BCB High Performance Unit and Emerging Team, has returned 33 wickets in 10 first-class matches for Sylhet and Islami Bank East Zone.

All-rounder Shakib al Hasan is also included in the squad but will have his fitness assessed before being considered for the first Test.

The second Test will be held in Dhaka from December 4-8.

“It is still early days for him but Mahmudul has showed good temperament for the longer version. He is also an in-form batsman. With injury concerns to Taskin (Ahmed) and Shariful (Islam), we needed to keep our pace bowling options open and Raja got the nod. We have been monitoring his performances in first class competitions. He is strong and energetic and has a knack for taking wickets,” said chief selector Minhajul Abedin to media.

“There is a fair bit of experience if you consider that Mominul (Haque), Mushfiqur (Rahim), Shakib, Taijul (Islam) and Miraz (Mehedi Hasan) are all part of the squad. We will obviously have to wait to see if Shakib makes it for the first Test but these players have been the most consistent performers for us in Tests and their presence can make a difference.

“We have options in the spin department as well as in pace. The team for the first Test is made up of cricketers who have been playing together regularly and they know the demands of Test matches. Pakistan are a formidable team but we are confident that Bangladesh will be competitive if we are disciplined and patient.”

Bangladesh squad for first Test

Mominul Haque (Captain), Shadman Islam, Saif Hasan, Nazmul Hossain Shanto, Mushfiqur Rahim, Liton Das, Nurul Hasan, Mehedi Hasan Miraz, Nayeem Hasan, Taijul Islam, Ebadat Hossain, Abu Jayed Rahi, Yasir Ali Rabbi, Mahmudul Hasan Joy, Rejaur Rahman Raja, Shakib al Hasan (subject to being declared fit to play)

Our side is very good in these conditions. With Babar, Rizwan, Fawad, Faheem carrying the batting coupled with the likes of Nauman and Hassan who are great in these conditions, plus Shaheen who is brilliant everywhere.

Has to be 2-0 Pakistan.

Shakib missing also - Looks like a 2-0 for Pakistan.

Bangladesh are not going to rollover so easy - beginning to think 1-0 to Pakistan!

Pakistan will dominate surely will 2-0 , The pace attack and batting combination of team Pak is quite awesome .

Need 90 overs to get a chance of a result tomorrow.

Can we skip the lunch and tea breaks please, and replace by 10 min drinks break or something?
