England 477.

India 60/0.

Disappointing pitch.

When it turned in early session 1, I was baffled. I mean the pitch looked white (reminded me of Aussie pattas) and by logic it shouldn't turn but it did.

I guess early moisture or something.

Soon enough it flattened out and was super easy to bat.

Anyways....India have a big task ahead with England piling up 477.

What's your take on this game? What will be the result?

I think this is gonna be a hard game to get a result either ways. Even if India gets all out in 1st innings, its not easy to bowl them out the 2nd time.

Even if India pile on the runs, its not easy to bowl Eng out in 2nd innings with the way the pitch is looking.

Advantage England for now. It can quickly change if India have a great day tomorrow. But then question is....will all those advantages be of any use?

England win or draw. India is not winning this barring a miracle.

Draw 70 percent

England win 29 percent

India win 1 percent

England win or draw.

Without that noob Jayant, our batting has weakened. In case these is a collapse tomorrow, there is no Jayant to add crucial 100 run partnership with Ashwin or Jaddu.

If Kohli and Pujara fail, England will win. Vijay may not bat.

Draw - 50%

India win - 45%

England win - 5%

I just hope Kohli scores 1000 runs in this series, though looks very unlikely. He is about 350 runs short as of now. 250 in this innings and a match winning hundred in 4th innings would set that up nicely.

True....it doesn't look too good.

Unbelievable that we haven't prepared even 1 good turner in this series. The one turner we prepared was the highest scoring match.

Let curators prepare tough tracks all they want but to not have even 1 typical Indian pitch is a true disgrace.

But then, pitches in this series have been "fair and sporting" that promotes a game of good cricket. :))

Pitch looks way too flat for a result. It will likely be a draw.

Thank you India, for making a mockery of HOME ADVANTAGE throughout the HOME series

The only way for us to win is to bat England out of the match and then go for a win on the last day. But given how we are dependant on a couple of players, thats not happening.

A repeat of Rajkot is most likely. We will have to bat 2.5 sessions to save the game.

India win is out of the equation because even if we bat big, we wont do it fast enough to give us enough time to bowl out England in 2nd innings. Unless someone goes nuts and scores a quick 150 which Sehwag used to do now and then :(

However if we falter tomorrow and get bowled out cheaply. There's every chance England will set us a chaseable target around 320-340 and we might end up losing.

Draw, don't see India doing enough to win and I can't see England taking 20 wickets.

Draw looks likely here on this pitch. Both teams will find it hard to get 20 wickets in time.

India should win this one, if England is able to win a test match in India, it should b failure on part of Indian team.

England win or draw. India is not winning this barring a miracle.

After the pounding they have received in the last 3 games, an English win would be super-duper unbelievably miraculous out of this world miracle.

Given the batting lineup we have, it would be extreme stupidity for England to declare when they are only 320-340 ahead.

Well batting last chasing over 300 isn't an easy task. We don't have Rahane, not sure whats the update on Vijay.

And England can afford to be stupid, 3-0 or 4-0 hardly makes a difference. However a win to end this tour does sound a rather better prospect. If they get an opportunity, will Cook take the chance, is the question?

draw. this match is being used as a practice match for youngsters :ravi

If India can bat till tea tomorrow and declare with a 100 lead, they could put England under pressure.

Lunch is minimum to ensure a draw. The more we bat after that, the greater would be our chance to push for a victory.

Our current run rate is 3.53 after 89 overs compared to 3.03 for the whole of England's first innings. So I would say that India is still playing positive cricket and hasn't given up thoughts of a win.

Terrible pitch.

Draw most likely now.

India will score 500 and England will be 200/4 in their 3rd innings and it will be a draw.

Hopefully England collapse in their 3rd innings.

5th day pitch it is. We should most likely win unless England batsman show their grit

Eng should be able to bat out 90 overs. Yah, Indians will bowl more overs, but pitch is a flat one. But I am not sure about Eng mental status after seeing some new kid scoring 300+. That's demoralizing to be honest.

Hopefully.

Not too sure though. Banking a bit on favours from England on the last day of a long test tour.

It is not about the pitch anymore. Having lost 3 tests consecutively, and seeing a rookie scoring 300 against you, tired players, and a captain who already hinted to quit, will all come into play.

A draw is on the cards, India really should have won the series 2-1 were it not for Cook's god awful captaincy, I pray he hands in his resignation.

England have been annihilated and only have a small chance to save the game. The medium pacers have badly shown up and the spinners are poor.

Test match cricket has the last laugh (and NOT India BTW) .... what a great sport it is !
Who would have thought that would happen after 3rd day scoreline. Last time i got similar shock was in against Australia when Laxman , Dravid batted whole day , Harbhajan spun then out.
