Probably the biggest blunder of Khan’s life was to let go of Punjab and KPK. He had 80% of power within the country. He should have waited for elections because the PDM goons were on the way of self-destruction. A massive mistake!

Punjab Caretaker Information Minister Amir Mir on Wednesday said around “30 to 40 terrorists” who allegedly attacked military installations in the wake of PTI chief Imran Khan’s arrest last week were being sheltered inside Zaman Park and the party leadership has 24 hours to hand them over.
“We have intelligence that some 30 to 40 terrorists who were involved in attacking our army’s buildings and installations are hiding at Zaman Park,” said Mir, referring to the Lahore neighbourhood where Imran lives.
Imran was whisked away from the IHC premises by paramilitary forces on May 9, leading to violent protests across the country. Some protesters breached the General Headquarters in Rawalpindi, while others ransacked and eventually set on fire the corps commander’s residence in Lahore. The military has described the events as a “black chapter”.
In his presser today, Mir alleged that the people involved in the corps commander’s residence were in contact with the PTI leadership.
He said the party leadership had 24 hours to surrender the suspects, and that “the law would come into action” if they did not comply.
Imran Khan’s residence was the scene of pitched battles in March when PTI supporters clashed with police when they attempted to arrest him in the Toshakhana case.
“The handlers of these attacks who were there were in contact with them (PTI leaders),” Mir said. A joint investigation team (JIT) has also been formed to investigate the events of May 9, he said.
Arrests
Mir said the total number of arrests so far had exceeded 3,400 with a total of 254 registered cases, out of which 78 were handed to investigators on physical remand and 609 on judicial remand.
“The arrests are ongoing and the identification of these people will continue until the last person is in custody,” Mir said.
He added that the suspect would then be presented in military and anti-terrorism courts as previously decided by the civil and military leadership on Tuesday.
‘Police had instructions to not use guns during protest’
Mir also stated that the Caretaker Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi had issued directives to the police to not use weapons against the protesters.
“The fundamental reason for this was that he did not want anyone to die,” he added.
With regard to the investigations, Mir said the chief minister had given clear instructions to ensure that no innocent person is wrongly accused of these crimes.
“Complete scrutiny is being done on the detainees and their cases are only forwarded after 100 per cent confirmation,” he added.
‘Preplanned’
Mir alleged that the “attacks” on May 9 were “pre-planned” by the PTI leadership as a consequence of Khan’s arrest.
“It is safe to say, like the TTP (Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan), the PTI is also taking up the role of a non-state actor,” he added.

Tbh the manner in which the PDM government and establishment have violated instructions from the Supreme Court, i don't think Khan remaining in the Punjab govt and KPK govt would have made much of a difference, they would have calmly done whatever political engineering they needed to do. Remember IK couldn't even register his FIR in Punjab inspite of PTI being in government.
By dissolving his assemblies, he had forced the PDM and the establishment to find a way to facilitate Nawaz Sharif way ahead of schedule and in a manner in which it became blatantly obvious to the entire world that they were in Cahoots.

Former prime minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Wednesday invited all stakeholders to sit and talk while there was still time as he fears another arrest during a raid at his residence in Lahore's Zaman Park.
"Probably my last tweet before my next arrest. Police has surrounded my house," he wrote on his official Twitter handle while sharing live link to his address to party supporters on YouTube.
Meanwhile, the police have blocked traffic coming from Mall Road to Zaman Park. Heavy police force is deployed near Zaman Park, Dharmpura Bridge, Allama Iqbal Road, Mall Road, and Garhi Shahu Canal Road areas of the city.
Policemen wearing bulletproof jackets armed with batons are present with their mobile vans. An unusual rush of traffic on Dharmapura Bridge is witnessed as policemen are standing alert on the roadside.
The police are searching big vehicles coming from Canal Road to Mall Road and Zaman Park.
According to sources, vehicles displaying PTI flags are being stopped and party workers present inside are being detained. A few vehicles were not allowed to go towards Zaman Park due to party flags.
"There is still time. Talk and be wise. The only solution to this crisis is elections. Those who can make elections happen, I appeal to them save the country by holding elections," Imran said while addressing party supporters shortly after his tweet.
On reports of PTI leaders leaving party, he said: "If someone is thinking this strategy will work, look at this," said Imran as he points towards a sheet in which it was depicted that 70 per cent of people supported PTI.
"The party which has 70% popularity you cannot finish it. PDM only wants to pit army against PTI. Everyone should realise what is happening and have some sense," he added.
"This (confrontation between PTI and military) will cause a huge backlash which would be damaging to the country," he added.
Imran said that his party workers tried to stop people from burning down the fighter jet model erracted at Jahaz Chowk in Mianwali but the miscreants did not stop.
"We're going to the high court soon to form a judicial commission as we have evidence now. We saw people everywhere who did not belong to our party and had pistols. They were instigating people to attack the Corp Commander's house," he claimed.
He also claimed that 25 people belonging to his party have been killed so far in the protests whereas 700 others with bullet wounds are hospitalised and 7,500 were in prison including women.
"I have heard 40 terrorists are in my house and we have given them refuge. If there are 40 terrorists here then my life is in danger as well. Please do come here but in a civilised manner not like you're attacking. It might be good for me too. Don't make it an excuse to attack," he added.
The former prime minister said that whatever happened on May 9 was part of a plan. "IG Punjab should be called for what happened at Jinnah House. From Liberty Chowk [in Lahore] people were moving to Jinnah House but no one stopped them. In a fair investigation, all will be revealed."
He said that they wanted to attack Jinnah House as an excuse to ban PTI and put leaders behind bars.
"How did Radio Pakistan get burned? The protest was happening someplace else but Radio Pakistan gets burned down. It is easy to identify faces these days with facial recognition. You can use NADRA's data and identify people but that can only happen through an independent investigation.
Imran claimed to have defended the army worldwide, emphasising that criticising the army is akin to criticising his own children.
He said that Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) was over the moon due to the current situation as they think it will cause delay in elections. "PDM is doing what was done in East Pakistan," he claimed.
"They reached my residence on March 14. They attacked my house for 24 hours. Did I say attack?" Khan stated. "APC [armoured personnel carrier] smashed gate of my house where my wife was alone. Did I say anything?" he continued, highlighting the dangers his family faced during the raid.
Refuting any claims of instigating violence, Khan stated, "When they tried to assassinate me, did I order anyone to attack them? They arrested me as if I was a terrorist."
The former prime minister expressed deep disappointment and frustration over what he termed unjust treatment he faced, asserting his innocence in the face of the accusations.
On Tuesday last week, dozens of troops of paramilitary Rangers broke into an office of the IHC and whisked Imran away in an armoured vehicle in a whirlwind raid while executing the arrest warrant issued against the former premier by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) in the Al-Qadir Trust case.
Later, the Supreme Court termed his arrest as “invalid and unlawful” and referred the matter back to the IHC which had earlier accepted the arrest as "legal".
In an unprecedented show of vandalism, PTI supporters attacked and caused damage to the historic Corps' Commander’s House — originally known as Jinnah House and which once served as the residence of the founding father of the nation, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah — hours after the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) arrested PTI chief Imran Khan.
Pictures and videos from the historic building showed that all the rooms, halls, drawing rooms, living rooms, walls, curtains, doors, wooden ceilings, and even the floor had been burnt by the protesters.
The 130-year-old building of the Military Engineering Services, a few furlongs away from Corps' Commander House, was also set on fire, where valuable records, furniture, and vehicles were set ablaze.
In the aftermath of widespread rioting and protests following Imran’s arrest, several party leaders including Fawad Chaudhry, Asad Umar, Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Dr Yasmeen Rashid, Shireen Mazari, Maleeka Bukhari and Fayyazul Hassan Chauhan, among others, were taken into custody.

I don’t get this man
When he was detained for 3 hours in the court after his bail, he threatened the police chief about letting his followers know that he is being illegally detained…he was gloating about being able to pressurise the chief into letting him go eventually. He clearly knows about the street power he can use for his advantage. So why is he now making it seem as if his followers were not the ones who did the damage?

This time, I am afraid they will have their way and will end up killing IK. The narrative coming out is he is hiding 3-40 afghan terrorists at his house. the whole area is blocked off.. there are no supporters in the area. 1500-2000 police around and the orders are coming straight from the military. they will force their way in, claim they met resistance and had to shoot everyone.

If its Gods will to reward Imran with martyrdom and a personal meeting with his Lord, it means this brave human being has done all in his power to save Pakistanis.
It will be upto the people living there as most of us abroad will break links with the nation to some extent. I personally will never set foot in such a cursed nation, cursed by God. There are supporters of the crooks who are broke, suffering from mental health issues but continue to support in jest.
For the moment, lets pray God protects him and gives more time for Pakistan to finally be Islamic. At the moment we have a General who is disrespecting the Quran itself. You claim you have memorised the word of God yet have no understanding of it. One thing we know with Imran. The opponent will have to play till the last ball. He has Pakistan is his clutches. To squeeze it out of him or him out of it will cause irreparable damage.

The Pakistan army is a puppet army of the US. The Generals are taking orders from Washington, Imran is too much of a threat in this changing world where US is on the brink of losing its dominance.
The only hope in the army is for the few God fearing Muslims in powerful Army positions to make a change, a inside coup. But looking unlikely at this point as those where pin pointed, their families abused and harmed.
I have already posted here about the Saudi unofficial stance which is that the MBS establishment and that includes the average Saudi citizen hates Imran Khan for his outspoken nature. They are ok with the Sharifs though they dont love them and they are somewhat suspicious of AZ and kept him at arms length during his reign
But Imran Khan is someone hated by Saudis and for that matter UAE people as well.
China is the only power with the power to ask PA to calm down a bit over Imran Khan

Not true at all. Ive been to Saudi, UAE a number of times. The ordinary Arab respects Imran more than they respect Nawaz or Zardari, they are not stupid people. They know who is a crook and who is not.
The Arab leadership dont care either way, its irrelevent what is happening in Pak or who is in charge as long as they are happy.

No offence but this blaming US excuse has to stop. This has nothing to do with the US. This all boils down to generals who fear losing status quo.
It's a problem, this instant gratification of finding global scapegoats for the issues within. It's always someone outside.
What threat is Imran to the US? IK can do faff all to the US with pile high debt, food shortage, inflation and an employment crisis. IK never looked to pick a fight with anyone apart from the elite cabal inside the country.
It's like saying Philippines or Malaysia threatening the US, considering they're much bigger economies, it still sounds like a joke. US economy is like 100 times bigger and tens if thousands of kilometres away, what threat?
The country has benefitted from lapping up fat cheques from multiple US administrations. It's Pakistan's largest export destination, heck there's a trade surplus with the US. China imports a third less from Pakistan despite having three times the population. Who's the real partner here? Till recently US supplied arms to Pakistan on favourable terms and denied this to the neighbours to keep them in check. It was an American AMRAAM that brought down a mig and humiliated the Indians.

umm no its not. It does not work that way where I LIVE.
No loony in the army can be made COAS. To be COAS, a post of Corp commander needs to be given, after getting that post only than can you become a COAS.
The Corp Commander list gets approved by the current COAS, he picks his 5-6 guys, not the USA. The guys are picked as such that the current COAS needs to make sure that the 5-6 Corp commanders would be loyal to COAS. Meaning that if tommarow the COAS retires, because anyone of these 5-6 corp commanders can become new COAS, the current COAS needs to make sure after retirement the new COAS doesnt make a case against him or comes after him.
This is why Musharaffe was protected by Raheel Sharif.
When Bajwa retired, he knew he messed up, so to protect his futre he made 3 extra Corp Commanders, thus protecting himself for the long run, if by chance anyone else becomes COAS.
Lol USA doesnt have a say in this, this is just a conspiracy that someone with no knowledge of Pakistan would make.

Bro there is only one cult. I dont mind PTI coming to power because Imran is too old and after him the party will finish. We saw the lack of leadership when he got arrested.
2028 elections are gonna be big elections, because in that Zardari, Imran, Nawaz wont be there, and new faces will be fighting. While PPP and PMLN will survive, PTI will be over and if Imran lives long enough, he is gonna retire. In the next 5 years, he will become or sleepy Joe Biden.
Ideally, the two parties and the cult should join together and fight the establishment instead of fighting amongst each other. But we know thats not gonna happen.

No arrests at Zaman Park before 2pm tomorrow: Punjab interim minister
Punjab Caretaker Information Minister Amir Mir has said no arrests will be made at PTI chief Imran Khan’s residence until 2pm tomorrow (Thursday).
He gave this assurance during Geo News show ‘Aaj Shahzeb Khanzada Kay Sath’, saying he had given a 24-hour deadline to the PTI leadership this afternoon to hand over those“30 to 40 terrorists“ who allegedly attacked military installations and were being sheltered inside the Zaman Park residence.
The interim minister said no action would be taken before the deadline lapsed.
He also refuted “Imran Khan’s claim that a decision has been taken to arrest him”.

Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah has warned that the relief PTI Chairman Imran Khan has gotten from the court “will not last for long”, saying that the former prime minister could be arrested after midnight — once his protective bail expired.
In an interview with journalist Asma Shirazi on Aaj News, he called the PTI chief a “bluff master”.
Sanaullah also said that Imran shouldn’t be afraid of jail, recalling the “political victimisation” his party suffered at the hands of the PTI government.

Nawaz's brutal crackdown via the Punjab Police with the full support of the Pakistani army has definately succeeded. It is very clear that senior PTI leadership are now going to abandon IK and the people have been scared to the point that they are no longer going to come out in large numbers or protest on social media that freely anymore.

There are a lot of brave Pakistanis no doubt. The Iranian revolution took years too. The Coup took place in 1953 ,the revolution freed the nation in 1979. IK was only ousted in a similar coup but in a different way less than 18 months ago. It takes years to build up resistance.
But I agree the fear these animals parading in uniforms have placed on the population is horrific. Women, young and elderly detained, sexually molested and perhaps more. People freed by courts, arrested again and again. Even the Evil Shah of Iran didnt do this so much openly as these criminals are now.
