So me and my fellow brothers @Suleiman @sweep_shot @LordJames @Justcrazy had envisioned starting educational threads about the greatest Prophets AS sent to this world by Allah for fellow Muslims and non Muslim on PP.
Here is the one that is about the first to come (chronically) among the mightiest of the Prophets (May peace be upon them).
He is also known as the second father of humanity because the world sort of got a reset after the massive flood that eclipsed the world back then. Prophet Nuh AS is a revered figure not just in Islam but other Abrahamic faiths as well (Judaism and Christianity)

Allah has sent down various prophets and messengers to humanity over long periods of time. In fact, the number may be a lot larger than we can imagine. Yet, Allah has only mentioned around 25 prophets in the Quran, and Muhammad (PBUH) is the last one of them. Among the numerous prophets who Allah discusses in the Quran is Prophet Nuh (AS), one of the earlier Prophets Mentioned in the Quran that Allah sent to humans. In the Quran, he is the next prophet after Adam (AS). Allah sent him to the people since they had begun to engage in idol worship.

Among the people who descended from Adam (AS), some were righteous. However, many of them strayed from the straight path and let Satan influence them. They contradicted the very purpose of their creation as they began to worship other beings besides Allah. Nuh (AS) went to these people and preached to them for a long period. Allah even states in the Quran that the prophet preached to his people for 950 years! However, his people were stubborn in their disbelief and hence, Allah’s punishment followed for them, a drastic predicament indeed.

Prophet Nuh’s Warnings

Nuh (AS) repeatedly tried to convince his people to give up idol worship. He reminded them of their Lord and their duty to worship Allah. Then, he warned them of a painful torment if they didn’t stop with their evil habits. They wouldn’t take him seriously, laughing off his suggestions. They barely acknowledged his efforts, with only some of the poor and weak people of the community accepting the call to worship Allah. When he called them out in public then they rebelled even further. They would even stick their fingers in their ears.

Story of Ark

Allah’s command

After hundreds of years of patience and trying to reason with the evil people, Nuh (AS) finally realized the futility of his efforts. He understood that the people were inclined toward evil and would spread corruption in the land. Hence, he prayed to Allah to wipe out the disbelievers from the land to purify it. Allah heard his dua and commanded him to build an ark. Their Lord had decided their fate, and now it was only a matter of time before He carried it out. The people watched in surprise, mocking him as he went about constructing an ark.

Allah’s Command

The Ark and the Flood

Finally, when the ark was ready, Allah told Nuh (AS) to board it with his family and the believers alongside a male and female pair of each animal. The disbelievers couldn’t understand what was happening. The prophet’s eldest son and one of his wives, however, were among the disbelievers and they stayed with the disbelievers. They claimed that they could find refuge if they needed it.

After the people went onto the ark, Allah opened the floodgates and it rained as it had never rained previously. The waves were even taller than the mountains, and all the disbelievers drowned. Allah narrates in the Quran that Nuh (AS) pleaded with Him for his son but Allah reprimanded him; Nuh (AS) then asked for His forgiveness for questioning His decree, and Allah forgave him. The ark came to rest and the believers disembarked alongside the animals.

Story of Prophet Noah (Nuh) In Islam Faith

Conclusion

The Story of Nuh (A.S.) contains many lessons that Muslims can learn about and benefit from. Hence, we should learn about Nuh (A.S.), both in terms of reading the Quran as well as utilizing other resources. The story of Nuh teaches us all about the importance of obeying Allah and His Messenger.

Noah live 950 years

Noah died 350 years after the flood, at the age of 950, the last of the extremely long-lived antediluvian Patriarchs. The maximum human lifespan, as depicted by the Bible, gradually diminishes thereafter, from almost 1,000 years to the 120 years of Moses.

Surah of Quran The flood of Prophet Nuh has been Mentioned

Sūrat Nūḥ (Arabic: سورة نوح‎, “Noah”) is the seventy-first surah of the Quran with 28 ayat. It is about the Islamic prophet Nūḥ and his complaint about his people rejecting all warning Allah gave them through Nuh.

Another bewildering speculation I have read about is, Prophet Nuh AS was sent toward the region of India/Pakistan.
According to well known Islamic scholar Dr Israr, the figure Manu in Hinduism could be a reference or allegory to Maha Nuh (the great Nuh AS). If true, it's such a great thing to know that our ancestors, people of South Asian origin especially sub-continent could initially have been the qom of one of the greatest Prophets AS in Islam.

Manu is a mythical figure. He is part of Indian mythology.

Great thread.

Thanks for sharing.

I have already posted I am a cultural Hindu. 🙄
Dear @Champ_Pal

So you don't have any confidence in your beliefs whatsoever and are unwilling to open up your beliefs to science and logic.

You are my Brother and anytime you have any questions about anything of Islam, please ask and lets have a discussion all I ask is that you open up 1 issue of your belief to the same level of scrutiny.

Anytime Brother and stay blessed.

I don’t believe in the stories of Hinduism that defy logic. A believing Hindu will accept the stories at face value. It’s the same for every religion. Either you believe or you don’t. 🙄

No, I and other Muslims do not believe stories on face value at all.

What evidence you have for the miracles in your religion then? Let’s examine without blind faith. Go ahead….👍
Not unless and until you put your belief forth and give the same invitation. If you don't believe in Hinduism that's fine, tell us what you believe in and we will apply the same standards

And again, you go first after you have given us a commitment and your word.

the great flood story was also a part of sumerian lore, and was mentioned in their epics in very similar detail to the biblical accounts. the bible also places noah between the rivers, which would very like be mesopotamia. there is virtually zero credible evidence that the stories origin would be non mesopotamian.

however given the reliance of early civilisations on rivers, its possible there were numerous stories which detailed how the "world", essentially their world, was flooded.

Agreed.

The primary difference between Christianity & Islam is that bible says that the flood was global

Genesis [7:19-23]

19 They rose greatly on the earth, and all the high mountains under the entire heavens were covered. 20 The waters rose and covered the mountains to a depth of more than fifteen cubits.[a] 21 Every living thing that moved on land perished—birds, livestock, wild animals, all the creatures that swarm over the earth, and all mankind. 22 Everything on dry land that had the breath of life in its nostrils died. 23 Every living thing on the face of the earth was wiped out; people and animals and the creatures that move along the ground and the birds were wiped from the earth. Only Noah was left, and those with him in the ark.

Quran makes no such claim at all.

[29:14] Indeed, We sent Noah to his people, and he remained among them for a thousand years, less fifty. Then the Flood overtook them, while they persisted in wrongdoing.

It was his opinion , do not think there is any authentic proof .

I have heard some people claiming Raam and krishna to be prophets as well. Yes it can be possible , because Hindusim does not have the concept of prophets , and they may have concluded miracles of prophets as being divine . But , we muct understand that even if it was true , it is not relevant now . We need to focus on what is relevant to us , which is the final revelation The Quran.
