So me and my fellow brothers @Suleiman @sweep_shot @LordJames @Justcrazy had envisioned starting educational threads about the greatest Prophets AS sent to this world by Allah for fellow Muslims and non Muslim on PP.
Here is the one that is about the first to come (chronically) among the mightiest of the Prophets (May peace be upon them).
He is also known as the second father of humanity because the world sort of got a reset after the massive flood that eclipsed the world back then. Prophet Nuh AS is a revered figure not just in Islam but other Abrahamic faiths as well (Judaism and Christianity)
Allah has sent down various prophets and messengers to humanity over long periods of time. In fact, the number may be a lot larger than we can imagine. Yet, Allah has only mentioned around 25 prophets in the Quran, and Muhammad (PBUH) is the last one of them. Among the numerous prophets who Allah discusses in the Quran is Prophet Nuh (AS), one of the earlier Prophets Mentioned in the Quran that Allah sent to humans. In the Quran, he is the next prophet after Adam (AS). Allah sent him to the people since they had begun to engage in idol worship.
Among the people who descended from Adam (AS), some were righteous. However, many of them strayed from the straight path and let Satan influence them. They contradicted the very purpose of their creation as they began to worship other beings besides Allah. Nuh (AS) went to these people and preached to them for a long period. Allah even states in the Quran that the prophet preached to his people for 950 years! However, his people were stubborn in their disbelief and hence, Allah’s punishment followed for them, a drastic predicament indeed.
Story of Ark
Allah’s Command
After the people went onto the ark, Allah opened the floodgates and it rained as it had never rained previously. The waves were even taller than the mountains, and all the disbelievers drowned. Allah narrates in the Quran that Nuh (AS) pleaded with Him for his son but Allah reprimanded him; Nuh (AS) then asked for His forgiveness for questioning His decree, and Allah forgave him. The ark came to rest and the believers disembarked alongside the animals.

Prophet Nuh’s Warnings
Nuh (AS) repeatedly tried to convince his people to give up idol worship. He reminded them of their Lord and their duty to worship Allah. Then, he warned them of a painful torment if they didn’t stop with their evil habits. They wouldn’t take him seriously, laughing off his suggestions. They barely acknowledged his efforts, with only some of the poor and weak people of the community accepting the call to worship Allah. When he called them out in public then they rebelled even further. They would even stick their fingers in their ears.Story of Ark
Allah’s command
After hundreds of years of patience and trying to reason with the evil people, Nuh (AS) finally realized the futility of his efforts. He understood that the people were inclined toward evil and would spread corruption in the land. Hence, he prayed to Allah to wipe out the disbelievers from the land to purify it. Allah heard his dua and commanded him to build an ark. Their Lord had decided their fate, and now it was only a matter of time before He carried it out. The people watched in surprise, mocking him as he went about constructing an ark.Allah’s Command
The Ark and the Flood
Finally, when the ark was ready, Allah told Nuh (AS) to board it with his family and the believers alongside a male and female pair of each animal. The disbelievers couldn’t understand what was happening. The prophet’s eldest son and one of his wives, however, were among the disbelievers and they stayed with the disbelievers. They claimed that they could find refuge if they needed it.After the people went onto the ark, Allah opened the floodgates and it rained as it had never rained previously.
