It's still raining at the stadium. The pitch and the square are currently under covers, and the toss has been officially delayed.

Heavy rain started pouring at Gaddafi Stadium just before the scheduled toss for Islamabad United vs Peshawar Zalmi.

Ground staff have covered the pitch. No official word yet on a delay.

Video:

Any updates from those near the stadium? Will the rain clear?

PCB got funds before CT , they even saved $$$ by delaying or skipping some renovation work, but the drainage systems at ground are still of pre partition era
wow . Every Test centre should have those whole ground covers like the SLCB has at the very least .

Game has to start in 30 mins or else it will be called off. Which means Toss needs to take place in the next 15 mins. Everyone's assessing the pitch right now.

bhai what kind of drainage system needs to exist? Its raining heavily in Lahore. How is the drainage systems fault.

Its grass and soil, it will get wet and damp, and it will take its time to dry.

Weatherman from Inida : Disastrous day for farmers in #Punjab #Haryana #Delhi #Rajasthan & west #UttarPradesh as the region experienced rains and #hailstorms causing damage to standing wheat crops. Next spell of such severe weather is expected in north #India during 3rd - 6th April then on 8th - 10th April. So farmers are left with only 1st and 2nd April to harvest the wheat crop if ready, else every spell of wind, rain and storms from here will have compounding damage on crops.
