PSL 6 Points Table Thread

The current rankings are going to be maintained by the teams at the seasons end most probably with lahore and karachi tussling it out for the top spot.

Early days but that NRR for QG is already a mess.

Here's how the table looks after that thriller between Peshawar and Multan.

5 losses in a row for Multan across the last 2 PSLs.

Rankings will look somewhat like this at the end.

1. IU
2. KK
3. MS
4. LQ
5. PZ
6. QG

Quetta simply doesn't have the firepower with the bat or the ball to force a result. On the other hand, Peshawar was able to muster a win due to Quetta's mediocrity. There's a real chance that Quetta may go winless this season.

Whilst QG are struggling, it's worth pointing out that Multan are already in trouble with only 1 win out of 4.

Allow me to predict final standings before Play-Offs;

1-2 = Kings & United
3 = Sultans

Three-way tie for number 4 between Gladiators, Qalandars and Zalmi.

Time for QG to wake up.

A loss in their next match and that's them pretty much done and dusted.

Updated table after Islamabad's 6-wicket win over Quetta. Things looking dire for Sarfaraz's side.

Lahore way out in front after today's double header:

Some of the franchises will be happy with the PSL being in the UAE, it makes their spinners more effective

Islamabad qualify for the knockout stage with Karachi's loss to Peshawar:

IU is through. QG is out. Rest off the 4 teams are now competing for 3 slots.
MS and LQ have a path to get 6 wins, so they have higher probability.
This means either PZ and KK would be eliminated.
Likely a final b/w MS and IU this year.

The situation is better for Karachi than it seems. The remaining fixtures:

LQ v MS
KK v QG
IU v MS

That first fixture means MS and LQ cannot both reach 12 points. Provided KK beat QG, they can easily catch up to either of them.

If LQ lose their final game, KK will beat them on NRR. If LQ win, MS will be 1 win behind KK going into the final game against IU, which they are likely to lose, thus KK will beat them on points.
