Misbah-ul-Haq (Islamabad United)
Our strong point is that we have almost the same team, we know our strengths and weaknesses. After winning the 1st edition, the team is confident and the guys know their roles. We want to continue our performances from last season, specially the way we performed towards the back end of the tournament. To start a tournament with a set combination is a big plus.
The players from the Pakistan team know the conditions well while some of the foreign players are also accustomed to playing here. Pakistani players will have an edge as they play a lot here but through out the world in T20 cricket, pitches are good and flat so there's not much difference in the conditions. There might be a small advantage for Pakistan players but foreign players will also fare well as pitches are usually true for T20s and it'll be exciting with good cricket throughout the PSL.
Brendon McCullum (Lahore Qalandars)
We have a good group of players and we've been lucky to assemble a strong squad. We don't just have good cricketers but we have good people which makes it easier to try and guide a team in a certain direction. Everyone is on board and we're going to try and play some exciting cricket and put up a good show.
Sarfraz Ahmed (Quetta Gladiators)
Our strong point last year was that we had a good combination and the team mostly had young players. Once again, we've tried to comprise our team of mostly young players and the hope is that we perform well once again.
Kumar Sangakkara (Karachi Kings)
The Karachi Kings have an unbelievably strong squad in terms of foreign and local players, both senior and young. It's very exciting and the players are onboard. We want to play an exciting brand of cricket which frees up the players and that makes things easier, so we're looking forward to a great season.
Darren Sammy (Peshawar Zalmi)
Our side plays together as a team and that was a strong point for us last year. This time, we've assembled a team with really good internationals and locals. We'll try and start on a good note and let the team gel as quickly as possible.
