Dollar touching 189. Extremely high inflation and rising electricity bills/fuel. That's a headache anyway, as everyone thought it'll stabilise when PTI came to power until they took more loan from IMF.

Danga mushti depending on the verdict today as there will be repercussions on the streets.

On top of that, sacking COAS (if true) will create an additional volatile security situation God knows.
 
Imran has proven he is a shrewd politician and for the first time someone has attempted to strike back at the army.

The next term after these elections will be exciting.

Nothing dramatic will happen in the time that this plays out.

If the sacking of a COAS can cause Armageddon then unfortunately the system is flawed.

Im against Imran using the army to remove himself when there is a constitutional way to it.

What Imran and co did in parliament wasnt required. THere is still an hour left to get voting done.

He wants the army to remove him because that is more honorable than the NCM. IF Imran becomes the first every PM to lose NCM, that will be an insult to him
 
Once the Chief Justice has seen the letter (if that is what is happening), the ruling can go either way. It may work out for PTI.

You can still remove him, PDM has the numbers. However he is still PM right now. You should support him in firing Bajwa.

But what if he believes Bajwa is responsible for the NCM. They have a history of doing this, not against the realm of possibility that they are responsible.

PDM allegedly hates Bajwa also. Why not support him in firing Bajwa, and then you can remove him tomorrow or later?

Thats not how it works in a democracy.

If bajwa has crossed his limits, he should be court martialed.

The supreme court can do that.

He has zero respect for anybody. It is now clear that he partnered with Faiz to rig elections as he thinks he is born to rule and any illegal activity is justified if that is to protect his interest. Sign of ultimate corrupted mindset. That has taken him to a state where he feels he can subvert the constitution, commit contempt of court and make a mockery of his country in front of world.

SC legitimized every coup. Judges with integrity resigned and the corrupt ones took oath on PCO's.

IK should go on tv live and say he wants to fire Bajwa.
 
elecition comission office is open aswell, comtempt of court decision will come from there.

The ball is still in the court of Imran Khan. If the opposition files contempt of court against him, serving a few months jail time will make him even more popular as he'll harp about the fact he didn't do ghaddari etc.

The National Assembly session to decide the fate of Prime Minister Imran Khan via voting on a no-confidence motion against him stands adjourned yet again. It was expected to resume at 9:30pm after Isha prayers but has been delayed.

The current adjournment was the fourth of the day as the opposition's clamour for immediate voting throughout the day have fallen on deaf ears amid lengthy speeches delivered from treasury members on the floor of the house.

NA Speaker Asad Qaiser was chairing the session when it began at 10:30am sharp in the morning, in accordance with the Supreme Court's directives, and with the recitation of the Holy Quran. It was followed by the national anthem and prayers for the recently deceased mother of MNA Shazia Sobia.

However, Amjad Ali Khan Niazi chaired the session for a brief period when it resumed after the first adjournment before Qaiser returned. The post-Iftar session was again chaired by Niazi.

Voting on the no-confidence motion against the prime minister is the fourth item on the day's agenda but it has yet to happen. PML-N MNA Rana Sanaullah, while talking to reporters, claimed that it had been agreed with the speaker to conduct the vote tonight after Iftar. However, when the opposition enquired about it after Iftar, it was told that the prime minister had not agreed to it, Sanaullah added.

While the opposition came out in full force for the session this morning, very few members of the treasury benches were in attendance before the session was adjourned. Prime Minister Imran Khan was also not present.

The opposition needs the support of at least 172 lawmakers from a total of 342 to oust the premier through the no-trust move.

A meeting was held between the treasury and opposition benches in the speaker's chamber after the session was adjourned for the first time in the day, where the latter called for holding proceedings according to the Supreme Court's directives.

Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi and PTI leader Amir Dogar participated from the government's side while Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari, Rana Sanaullah, Ayaz Sadiq, Naveed Qamar and Maulana Asad Mahmood represented the opposition.

Following this, a meeting of the opposition's parliamentary group was called at the opposition leader's chamber. PML-N's Khawaja Saad Rafique, speaking in the NA after the adjournment, said that the speaker had promised that voting would be held after Iftar.

Separately, the government sent a review petition to the apex court against its decision to set aside the deputy speaker's April 3 ruling. The petition, however, is yet to be filed since the officers of the court did not process it on receipt as they close early in Ramazan. According to the PTI's counsel Azhar Siddique, it will be processed on Monday.

A federal minister has denied an Indian media report that Prime Minister Imran Khan has resigned, Geo News reported Saturday.

According to details, the Indian media has claimed that the prime minister may step down amid the tense political situation in the country due to the no-trust motion.

However, a cabinet member denied the report.

The Indian media stated that the prime minister has presented three conditions to resign but did not share further details in this regard.

Sources told Geo News that the federal cabinet has also decided that the premier will not resign.

IK only talks anti American slogans, because it sells to naive people like you. His govt has done everything in its tenure to serve American interests in the region. Now he is upping his anti American rhetoric (which is just that, rhetoric) to gain sympathies from people like you. IK became corrupted the minute he abandoned his principles by allying with crooks like the sugar mafia and broke every promise he made on the container. Stop with the blind fanboying. I am just as critical of PDM also.

A lot of pressure on the speaker now in this last 30 min. Either they get on with the NCM vote or not. He may contemplate handing his own resignation due to his long term relationship with Imran Khan. There may be a NCM vote against the speaker himself but that is another process.

I don't think there will be a vote. The Chief Justice will give his verdict and a lot rides on that. It will dictate the next steps ahead.
 
I’m saying this with full honesty, this is not good by Imran. You lose a match, you comeback harder. This drama doesn’t benefit the common person. Unnecessary crisis being created.

Supreme court can issue verdict where the secretary of parliament is asked to act as speaker.

The reason for the emergency is that bureaucracy has to do all the paper work. Hence any resignations or whatever is gonna happen.

Kashif Abbas is saying, asad qaiser might resing because he is someone that is in that age near retirement and cares about his legacy.

Qasim Suri meanwhile will do blindly what Imran tells him.
