Please discuss.

We hear about broadening of the Tax Base.

But at the same time KP government opposed such tax in the past (if I am not mistaken).

And with the inclusion of many Landlord electables in PTI, what will be the future?

Yeah PTI is the spawn of the devil... I already miss all the progress we were making in the Noon era and PPP before that.

I believe Jhangir Tarin had asked for this when he was not even in PTI. This is needed and something PTI should try to pass in the assembly with opposition support if they are not able to get enough votes from their own party. All these laws need to be passed once PTI has actually formed it's government and are in the assembly. Asking this now is like asking why didnt someone bowl any overs when he was not even in the playing IX.
Btw many of the PTI so called electables actually lost so Agricultural tax is a possiblity at least something that will be discussed in the parliment.

This turned out to be a blessing in disguise.

I will say this again. These central Punjab electables losing, and genuine PTI workers in Karachi winning is a very positive result for PTI in the long run. These genuine workers are not going anywhere and are in this for the long run, electables are just opportunists who go wherever the wind is blowing. These MNAs and MPAs from Karachi are FAR more valuable in the assemblies than someone like Firdous Ashiq Awan.

Jhangir Tarin is himself a problem, and electable who owns large lands and now facing the charges of hiding his assets in name of farmland in the court.

There were two problems.
1= Avoiding Tax
2= Not trusting govt for your tax.

I know a lot of people who would avoid tax but OTOH they will donate heavily to private and welfare infrastructure.

Govt need to build trust in #2 and #1 will improve.

It boggles my mind why people CAN NOT understand the reasoning why Imran had to re-strategies the election campaign - as trolls call it U-turn.

In a feudal ruled corrupt Pakistan, where people were not willing to take stand against the system, he could not get elected - it was just his fantasy. He changed the strategy and made it more practical to fit the Pakistan society. He had no option left but to laundry the political system. He knows that he would need to build a core from TOP to the bottom thru a gradual process. This process of elimination will take time. IF he succeeds, we will then have a New Pakistan.

Question is how can u not pay tax? System should be so strong that you get fined for late payment of taxes and if you don't pay up your not able to do basic things. i.e - renew passports, in KPK sehat card can be blocked on basis of non payment of taxes, business trading licenses shud not be allowed to be renewed. There are so many ways to control all this. Tax payment can not be optional. PTI needs to ensure that now.
