What's new

Punjab [337/9] beat Sindh [297] by 40 runs in the Pakistan One Day Cup

I only saw the end of Amin's innings but Ashraf looked like the best bat out of this game so far.

Fahim's innings should give him confidence in bowling as well lets see how he does today

I just hope against the hope that Badar gets a chance at 3 or 4 in the lineup full of TTF's to see what he is made of.

The fielding is some sort of cruel embarrassing joke. It's easiest aspect of the game to be good at too.

Pathetic bowling by Nasir the allrounder.

Absolutely shocking lack of control as a medium pacer so far.

Why is kami don keeping? Isnt he supposed to be a fielder now?

Correct me if i'm wrong but Fahim looks like he is early 130s at his paciest with little to no swing. Yamin swings it much more with the new ball.

Hope Punjab defend this, don't want to see Sindh in the final

Manzoor deserves another look despite all his flaws. If Hafeez, Azhar, Shehzad, Kami and UMAR AKMAL of all people can keep making the squad incessantly, Manzoor deserves another look at.

Commentator calling Fahim Fast medium. I seriously doubt that. Not even medium fast. He's medium.

An 18 year old struggling with control? Shocking.

Ashraf strikes. That was a great over with Manzoor struggling to find the middle of the bat on his bowls and Ashraf gets an inside edge and bowls him out.

Yup you are right, Fahim rarely gets any swing with probably same pace as Yamin.

I didnt know he was 18. Can be excused if it is so. He has potential.

Despite his waywardness, I really like Nasir Nawaz. I can easily see him turning into a good all rounder within 2 years if he's invested in.

Fahim played well in this match so far but I would still prefer Yamin in CT squad than him

Asif gone bowled by Fahim caught by Kami, should feel unlucky considering Kami usually fluffs more chances than anyone else

Imagine Fawad walking up to the crease in Australia against Australia, the level of intimidation would be epic. And then he pulls out his squat stance leaving everybody stunned at ground and at home

Another gem. :)) :)) :))

That guy in the crowd sporting shades in the evening and strutting more gold on him than all gold combined on ground has got the most suave look I have seen from a Pakistani spectator

I don't rate him at all. But I know for a fact that he will be an improvement on Shehzad, Hafeez, Kami and Azhar Ali as our openers. These names make me want to stop watching Pakistan cricket. Absolutely the worst openers we've had in a long, long time.

You force me to agree with you When u name those people. Anyone could be an upgrade over these "openers"

Nasir Nawaz sporting a headband today in hope to bowl legendary stuff like Waqar Younis esque, unfortunately for him it made him look more like the real legend of Ashok Dinda

Nasir Nawaz, Amad Butt, Fahim and Yamin all are trundlers

Amad butt is anything but a trundler. He might be bowling within himself in last few matches but he can reach mid 140s easily when he wants.

Always wondered this lol. He said he wanted to come back as a batsman but most of the time in domestic he's still keeping. Should have demanded to play as a specialist bat in domestic, he's performing more than well enough to deserve that. Needs to learn how to field.

It's funny most wicketkeepers I've seen when they actually field are really good fielders. Mcullum, Sangakaara, AB etc. As a wicketkeeper generally anyway always may come a time where you have to retire with the gloves and just be a batsman e.g.Mcullum so kind of surprised he never worked on regular fielding too much.

It is looking bad for Sindh and unless Fawad provides a miracle here, Federal will be through to final.

At least Ashok dinda doesnt "compromise on pace". :yk

I have asked this question but how do people watching see Fahim's bowling as compared to Junaid and Riaz for odis ?

ExpressPacer arsal sheikh fielding :))

It is your illusion that he is compromising on his pace, his body allows him to bowl at that pace max similarly like Fawad Alam's physique allows him to clear boundaries of 55m only.

Fawad Alam's stance should be focused on medical classes to indicate to students how a person stands and walks when he feels constipated

He was 127-135

I know. I dont know why he is doing it. Had seen him bowl almost express pace about 1 and a half years ago albeit with average control. Perhaps he is being told to bowl slower and gain control.

its more technique than physique

most pakistani domestic players dont know how to keep stable, get your front leg out of the way and hold the bat high up the handle.

For players like fawad such things are impossible
