Batting for battinfs sake. No need for Punjab tobrack up 309/1 in reply with a 200 run lead. No attempt to win the game. Butt saab just padding up his stats

Salman Butt has a slightly better record than Fawad Alam this season.

I see no point in recalling old men, but what would be the cricketing argument for choosing one of them ahead of the other?

Salman Butt is just selfish, clearly out there just for the runs and not pushing for a win and besides Salman Butt is an opener. The only lower middle order batsman that has done well is Fawad.

Terrible end to the season for Sami Aslam.

He was on top of the world, but only scored 31 runs in his last five innings.

Ammad Butt scoring a hundred ... vs KHI .... good innigs .... he shld be in strong contention for the SL test ... i hope ....

he shld be def in the ODIz and T20z ...

Karachi, 5 December 2019:

With 120 points in the bag before the tenth round of the Quaid-e-Azam trophy, Central Punjab followed a perfect script to settle for a draw in their last round fixture, of the premier four-day first class tournament, against Southern Punjab.

On the fourth and final day at the State Bank Stadium on Thursday, Central Punjab's openers Salman Butt and Kamran Akmal topped up the overnight one-run lead with a 124-run stand. Kamran Akmal perished on a 72-ball 47 while Salman Butt marched on to his 25th first-class ton.

Captain Ahmed Shehzad, too, crafted a hundred to achieve a remarkable feat of two centuries in the match.

At the close of play, Central Punjab were 309 for one after 81 overs with Salman Butt (158) and Ahmed Shehzad (100) at the crease. Butt and Shehzad piled up 185 runs together to ensure the desired result.

Must say respect to mohammad wasim the coach..wins the 20 20 and now from bottom of the league to reach the final....surely he is better than MISBAH

Just the fact that he is working at the domestic level and gaining experience as a coach makes him better than Misbah, who never coached before. The results and performance of Wasim you mentioned make him an overachiever for sure

Saud Shakeel, right after winning the emerging cup, scores a big hundred and takes wickets in both innings. If the 40 year old Iftikhar is selected over him again, then we're all just wasting time watching Pakistan cricket

If it were up to me I'd drop Azhar Ali, Chachu Ifti and Shan Masood and replace with following (i'd drop Asad as well if it were up to me with say Zeeshan Malik, but don't crazy with changes):

Imran Butt for Shan Masood
Saud Shakeel for Azhar Ali at no. 4
Fawad Alam for Chacha Ifti at no. 5

Saud needs to do more hasnt had a season as i expected him to ...Faddy i am sure will be picked although he is the wrong side of 30s but deserves a go...

Sindh’s Fawad Alam scored his fourth century of the season and Balochistan’s Imran Butt also continued his run of form with another ton on the final day of four-day tenth-round of first-class Quaid-e-Azam Trophy match at the National Stadium on Thursday.

Balochistan had reached 181 for one in 26.2 overs in their second innings when the match ended in a draw.

Earlier Sindh had totaled 515 in 170.1 overs in their first innings in reply to Balochistan’s 471 for nine declared.

Butt who was out cheaply in the first innings made amends with a fine 101 not out from 99 balls with 15 fours.

This allowed him to finish as the top run-getter in the tournament’s round matches with 934 runs, a tally that included four centuries.

Balochistan’s captain, Imran Farhat was also undefeated on 40 from 26 balls when the match ended.

Fawad's 34th century of his first-class career was the highlight of a day where Sindh responded with 515 in 170.1 overs in reply to Balochistan’s first innings total of 471 for nine.

The left-hander faced 233 balls and hit 12 fours and a six in his innings of 116 runs after he resumed on the overnight score of 69.

Fawad who has scored over 12,000 runs in first class cricket also shared a productive seventh wicket partnership of 47 with Anwar Ali who made 58 runs.

All-rounder, Anwar who has been in good form since returning from an injury to first class cricket this season stroked nine fours in his 117 balls innings.

Sindh lost their overnight batsman, Hasan Mohsin for 23 to Khurram Shehzad after which Fawad and Anwar stood firm.

After Fawad was caught by Bismillah Khan off Taj Wali, Anwar produced a ninth wicket stand of 52 runs with Mir Hamza (14).

Taj Wali and Jalat Khan finished with three wickets apiece.

Balochistan finished at the bottom of the six-team table at the completion of the 10 rounds while Sindh were placed fifth going winless in the tournament

M Wasim as coach is so clutch we need him as Pakistan's national head coach. Seen it in the T20 and see it now how he was really attacking in this match and got the max points. If you see the squads prior to the tournament Northern had the weakest team on paper, but some how manages to go to the final.

Excellent stuff from Mohammad Wasim as a coach, first winning the T20 tournament and now reaching the final of QAE trophy after not starting that well in it.

And not to forget he and his team achieved that while trying youngsters in Haider Ali, Zeeshan Malik, Musa, Haris Rauf etc and on top of that no player with a contract from Northern can say he didnt get the opportunity as almost everyone from main squad to performers of 2nd xi got enough chances.

I hope with the new setup good coaches from domestic setups graduate to the national team as PCB has been really poor in awarding good coaches of domestic cricket previously. We have seen how BCCI involved Sanjay Bangar and Bharat Arun in national setup based upon their contribution in domestic setup and it turned out to be really good for the national team.

Aus, India, NZ have been top teams across the formats in recent times and they have valued coaches who achieved something in their domestic setups. Eng with the appointment of Silverwood is also trying the same, cricket world is moving towards development of local coaches as well along with the players.

M. Wasim has done a superb job.proves we have good enough local coaches as well. Impressive strategy, great usage of part timers, was always aggressive someone needed in the Pakistan team management.

2 players stand out from Northerns, Faizan Riaz and Zeeshan Malik

Fawad Alam and Ashfaq Ahmed have also been superb but the way these 2 managed to keep a 75+ strike rate as well as average more than 50 [only Aamer Yamin has similar stats averaging 61 with 81 strike rate] is just incredible.

PCB have confirmed that Shaheen Shah Afridi and Naseem Shah will NOT play in the QeA Trophy final as they are being rested.
